My first problem is on step 9. I put it all in correctly into terminal (I'm using mac remember) but when I put in bash updatemcp.sh is said it wasn't a directory or file? I read the rest and thought I would skip it. But then I started having another problem in the last step.
In the last step, I have eclipse open. Just to verify, what folder am I pathing? Anyway, so my main problem with it is that the "src" tab doesn't have a grey arrow beside it like the tutorial said.
Are you sure your bash was in the right directory? You need to make sure your terminal is pointing to your MCP folder, then try to run the file.
(Also, make sure the file does indeed exist within the folder. If it didn't, that would be silly.)
For the src tab, make sure you've completed a run of decompile.sh. Then if the problem still occurs, check inside the folder it points to. (I believe it's /MCP/src/minecraft/net/minecraft/src) and it should have a bunch of .JAVA files. If it doesn't, something is wrong.

~Thanks in advance!

Never skip steps!
Relax, it's just a game.
