My question is, how do I make the textures of the blocks I add look the same as the texturepack that is being used. Take little blocks for an example, no matter what texture pack you use the items and blocks look the same. Or is that possible?
Do you mean like how do you change the drops to look like the texture pack?
Uh, Yeah kinda like the mod makes stone for example differnt in a way that i wont share and lets say that modded stone block was on the ground and i was in the normal texture it looks like normal stone. Then I switch to Dokucraft or any texture it would look like the texture packs stone block. If that clears things up.
ohhhh so you want your modded stone block to look different when it drops?
Ye, I want it to look like the texture packs stone. For example there is modded stone next to normal stone they look the same. I switch texturepacks, They still both look the same only it is a different stone texture than the previous texture pack.
You could try setting the modded blocks reference call idk what it would be called, something like an ID to the same as stone, so when the texturepack loads what should be "stone" it will be your modded block and stone?
OHHHHH! You don't want one of them affected by the texture pack? Like for it to stay the default way so they can be told apart? for that just add a new texture in general, if thats not it IDK what you mean.
I think what he's saying is that he wants the texture for a modded block to change when he switches texture packs. The only way to have that happen is for the texture you want to be in the texture pack you're loading, there's no way to create a mod with dynamic textures like that as far as I know, unless whatever block you've created loads an already existing texture from the terrain.png
