The v1.08b update is live. I had to push a quick update to remove the "official" server from the server list.
On that note, anyone looking to have your Hexplore-It servers publicized free of charge, or partner up for another Official Hexplore-It server, hit me up.
VERSION 1.08b >Simply removed the IP from the server list, and updated the start screen.
i have a problem with the modpack, ever 5 Minute to a hour it CTD when on my server, I have tried 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 Gb of ram and I have 8 total gb of ram. I have added ATG mod to it but I don’t think that would be the problem. It don’t make a crash log so here is technic console.
Bare in mind this WILL be VERY crashy and VERY buggy!
This is just meant as a place to start. The only tweaking done thus far has been to make the pack launch-able/playable.
I am looking for and feedback as usual but I am more looking for assistance this time. I will need help with configs, key-bindings, mob-spawning limits, drops loot, etc...
I could also use assistance soon with ideas for lore and a questing system. I plan to build custom structures to spawn in the world. My hope is to even include custom NPCs in that as well.
There are many mods currently included with duplicate components and many mods that are merely for the building of the pack that won't make into the end result obviously.
I will probably use this instead of Solder for the time being for simplicity's sake.
Feel free to use the discussion tab to conversate on this.
Wait its moving to 1.7.10?? Or is it a new modpack? I like it 1.6.4 but u can change it if u want if it is changing.
My goal is to keep updating the and improving the modpack over time. I plan to keep the 1.6.4 version available regardless. It will be a while before the 1.7.10 version is stable enough to play anyway.
I played the test version a few times and I already see things I like great addition of that new weather mod! However, I did notice that devastating tornadoes are quite frequent; both worlds I spawned in were minutes away from massive storms. Spawn rates and block destruction options are, luckily, able to be altered easily in-game; however, perhaps make the default settings such that tornadoes are more rare and don't take blocks, only entities- that way they still pose a threat without ruining my beloved dirt-brick architecture. XD
Zelda sword skills is another mod I'm excited to play around with. It's more satisfying to actually gain new skills from combat over time. To improve on this theme, have you considered the "level up" mod? It lets you improve on basic vanilla skills like swordsmanship, archery, digging and smelting, and lets you choose a class, some of which allow extra XP for doing tedious things like crafting, smelting, or mining, making it less of a chore and more rewarding.
I also saw the more swords mod. I LOVE that mod and, in fact, any mod that adds a range of new weapons or enchantments and could be a great addition. However, I still think balkon's weapon mod should be added for the sake of the wide range of options utilizing vanilla items. Simple, straightforward, and highly useful even late in the game.
Btw, If you're still wondering how to implement your upcoming custom structures into gameplay, have an idea for a "format" for different types of custom ruins, towns, etc. that might make it easier for you. Basically it would classify structures according to their lore-based purpose and function for the player, for example, religious shrines/temples, military camps, trading posts, inhabited or abandoned towns or cities, etc. Shall I pm you the details or did you already have a concept?

I have been working on an updated test version to hopefully upload before the day is out. I totally agree about the weather configs. So far I have been only adjusting the configs enough so there are no crashes.
Awesome feedback! I agree with all of your feedback. Also at your request I just added Balkons.
I look forward to hearing about your ideas for structures/lore I have so far remained concept free. Feel free to PM or post, either way is fine.
Ok, I posted the newest update of the pack here I know of plenty of issues as it stands (biggest is key-bind conflicts) but I haven't started sorting all that yet.
Let's get the ideas going for 1.7.10... Bring it!!!
2 questions, how do u make and online server for your modpack?
Is the 1.7.10 modpack going to have the exact same mods?
You can download the server pack on the website.
They won't be the exact same mods, but they will be as close as possible. I would like to keep moving forward towards the ideal theme I have for the pack. So basically the 1.7.10 version will just be the continuation of Hexplore-It towards the future. What I plan to do for sure is keep the 1.6.4 version the way it is and accessible to the public for those that may prefer it over the future versions.
Pleas add lucky blocks ;-; it's my favourite mod and It would work well with adventuring, as you can venture out and find them
I have never actually used the Lucky Blocks mod but it does look like it would fit the theme. I will look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hey, I love the idea of the pack! One problem, it wont install. I havent had this problem until now. I have that pack selected, I hit play, it starts installing, then it stops at 3%. Downloading Mod: matmos-resources-1.07b.zip. Know a fix?
Edit: Nevermind haha, it was just downloading VERY slow.
Great modpack!
Okay, Im trying to get into it but ti is crashing every 5 minutes or so. Is that an easy to fix problem?
I would need more info than that, like crash reports, etc...
Also it depends on if you r are playing the normal 1.6.4 pack or the 1.7.10 testin version. If you are playing the test pack I am sure that you are crashing and that is to be expected at this point in the 1.7.10 modpack's creation.
How much RAM do you have available all together? That may be the issue. You shouldn't need more than 4. If you allocate too much you take away RAM that your operating system may need to function.

Yes, I am assuming so. The owners of that company/server stopped responding to me and the server is no longer operable.
I am sorry for this inconvenience. Had I known it would end like this I would have chose to partner up with a different company.
I was not even informed of this in time to back-up the server files to re-host it for myself.
I will be adding any and all servers to the list though as they are submitted to me.

How much RAM do you have available all together? That may be the issue. You shouldn't need more than 4. If you allocate too much you take away RAM that your operating system may need to function.
