Lol, looking at your signature... i bet you like tamagotchis. Hopefully you'll make a breeding concept similar. Have an animal do things that'll change its evolution. For example, if the pet eats too much... it'll evolve (or grow up) to be a plump, big pet. Or if it constantly runs (lets use a whacky concept from tamagotchi) it'll sprout longer legs when it grows older.
I like the concept of this mod 100%.
However, again, if you know Harvest Moon the game.. their breeding is 100% similar to this which is why i suggested to collab with the Harvest Moon mod. They literally have the wife/husband/kid side with a village, all thats left is the farm and the animals... which is basically this half of the mod. You should talk to them and let them use this concept, too... just make them credit you. I can't wait to see where this mod goes!
But independently, this mod is great. <3 gj
Yeah, we've talked to those guys a bit. Mostly trying to find ways to fit things together in modpacks. We're all about the animals and animal behavior... you are right.
Yeah, we need this I'll chat with our texture expert
Thanks. Nearly impossible to find them without a good entity radar to know where they are. Also a good way to tell them apart without directly looking at em.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
I just wanted to drop a line to say this has become one of my favorite Minecraft modpacks. I know SolZen321 commented that it's "like Minecraft Comes Alive, but for animals", but to me, it feels like the natural extension of one of my other long-time favorites, Pam's HarvestCraft. Stylistically, the mods feel made to work together, I can't wait to see how this mod grows and evolves, and I'm especially excited to see sheep make the jump to Animania, as well as working dogs and draft horses.
Hmm, perhaps add a way to milk cows automatically, like the milking machines we've seen at dairy farms? Just seeing the milk flowing in tubes is quite satisfying.

Would love it if the Dragon Mounts...dragons were given the Animania treatment. The source code for it is open source if I remember correctly.
One idea is that they could start spawning after the Ender Dragon is slain but still being rare, or they could only spawn rarely in places like mountains or depending on the breed.
It would be rather interesting running into a family of forest dragons in a dense forests, or a fire dragon raiding your farm/village.
Then again Ice and Fire Dragons came out and they do the whole dragon slayer thing down to a T
Hi sorry if this question has been asked but I did read through the thread and comments at Curse. Is there anyway to get a mixture of vanilla and Animania mobs? It seems from the config that for each type of animal it is all or nothing.
I play some other mods that add drops that don't translate to this mod.
If it was not too complex to implement and didn't affect performance, a percentage setting on replacement would be nice.

Yes, it's in the config, under Game Rules. There's a setting for 'Replace Vanilla ...' just set it to false to get those vanilla animals. It is not all or nothing.

First, let me say this mod looks pretty darn amazing.
Second, does anyone know if there are any higher res textures in the works for this mod? I doubt it given how new it is, but figure it never hurts to ask.
Yes, these are on the list. Dogs will come first though.

*sigh* Another awesome mod that I can't get because it isn't for 1.7.10...
well it not gonna be for 1.7.10
because 1.7.10 is an old version...also why not update to a higher version instead of 1.7.10 so you can play this mod
Your grammar is bad.
NO! For the last time I will NOT update UNTIL AND UNLESS LOTR Mod is updated!
