I REALLY love this mod and want to thank you guys for putting hours into this. I've been playing vanilla minecraft for years and decided to give mods a try!
I want to post some things I think are buggy in 1.12? I cannot make any charcoal filters. I noticed some people had the same problem in github page.
Heating and cooling are great but not very gradually. I can overheat within seconds in a dessert with wearing nothing or even inside buildings. Not sure if this is how it's suppose to go.
I've been playing with this for a while and I love it! I have a few questions (or maybe suggestions) if that's cool:
How can I adjust the config so overheating/ freezing aren't so binary? I've only played in summer thus far and It's a bit maniacal how you overheat breaking eight or nine dirt blocks. I'd like to nerf that a bit, if I can through the config, so it takes longer to overheat. If i tried adding this to a server as-is there'd be rioting lol.
Do Pam's Harvestcraft drinks work for thirst? If not, is there a config to add custom ID's so mod drinks work?
Are there any plans for more cold weather armor/ clothing options?
Going with those. just need a good monsters mod now. I was liking lycanites but i'm not quite sure if it's working for 1.12 yet or not. waiting to hear back.

I kinda have an interesting idea for the mod. Currently the seasons system adds a unique aesthetic to the game. There was a mod awhile back called Shifted-Snow and from what I remember it was open source. It basically allowed snow to build up on stairs, plants, slabs, and fences/walls. I think the aesthetic would be not only a great addition to the winter feel, but it would also be cool if the API was expanded to include a more realistic snowfall (i.e. snow falling under trees and snow build up). it could also have potential side effects later on such as killing crops or collapsing roofs (would probably be difficult to implement)
Is the config option for custom liquids still in the works? Most of what I could find is from last year, and I'd really love to be able to have HarvestCraft be more compatible with TaN, even if I have to do it myself. It seems like both Pam and the TaN devs have said the other will have to use their API for compatibility, lol.
For those of you using the Weather2 mod, Corusus recently released a build that makes the weather mod's localized storms play more friendly with Tough As Nails's seasons system so Weather2 storms now will produce snow in the winter. However the rain collector thing has not been worked out yet but it's nice to see Weather2 have some more compatibility with this mod.
I recently got back into Minecraft after a long hiatus (have not played since 1.7.10) and in looking for a thirst mod, found this mod! It perfectly scratches my survivalist itches and I love playing it. Thanks so much for your efforts!
Fortunately for me, the Camping Mod I loved in 1.7.10 has a 1.12.2 version, and I play with both mods. However, the campfires from the Camping Mod do not warm me up, and I do not see a way to add them in TAN's config. Is there a way to allow the campfires from TCM to heat me up? I would have to have to build two fires, one for heat and one for cooking. Seems kind of silly.

how much of enviromine functionality can we expect to eventually get back into TaN or sibling mods?
before anyone asks how much i hope to regain, duh, all of it.
it's a real shame we only have such a half hearted mod as tough as nails these days to be honest, far too easy and far too forgiving (far too many blocks ignored as well, lava should be near-instant death to be around), i feel like i'm cheating as soon as i make my first modded furnace, because i am.
way too much work to manually add blocks to generate heat as well.
Suggestion of making a way to set the hot and cold coils at certain temperatures so you don't either die of the heat or the cold if you happen to forget to turn one or the other off.

Anything new about this?
It's too hard to play for beginners if cannot use custom drinks.
Please(!) add this feature.

Tutorial: How to create a server economy with Forge mods
Do you know any kind of mod with water cleaning machines to make it automatic?
testing this out with the Animania mod, if it doesnt work out, you should definitley try to make a compatiability.
Will it work on 1.12? or is it not compatible?
The 1.12 version works fine on 1.12.1 for me.
Yeah I ended up finding the beta builds for 1.12.

Hello, Glitch! I wanted to report a crash!
There seems to be a problem between this mod and Primal Core! Just wanted to report both mods authors!
Minecraft Fan! And modder wanna be!
How can I change the season/year length? It cycles so fast some wheat plants I can't even harvest before they die. Otherwise, love the mod, thanks!
.minecraft>config>toughasnails>seasons.cfg
I don't have that config file. I only have the following in config/toughasnails:
block_temperature.json
gameplay.cfg
material_temperature
gameplay.cfg only contains
# Configuration file
"survival settings" {
# Players are affected by temperature [default: true]
B:"Enable Body Temperature"=false
# Players begin with a lowered maximum health. [default: true]
B:"Enable Lowered Starting Health"=false
# Seasons progress as days increase [default: true]
B:"Enable Seasons"=true
# Players are affected by thirst [default: true]
B:"Enable Thirst"=true
}
...so I have no options for how seasons work. I'm running ToughAsNails-1.9.4-1.1.1.66-universal.
Does anyone know how to add hot spring water from BoP to the configs of TaN so that it becomes a heatsource?
EDIT: (one day later) nm, the latest version adds this itself. They read my mind

Just found a bug, when I die of hyper/hypothermia and respawn the status effect is still visible and my fps drops to 10
ps I'm using version 1.12.1
