These are really good ideas, Mr_Mooshy. We've talked about the database and winners, and agree it would make the mod even more enjoyable. We are investigating a way to do it (it's quite complicated, let's just put it that way)

maybe you should ask the creators of armourers workshop mod they did something like a database . thanks for listening to my idea before you are one of the best modders on the forums anyway
Why won't it open when i press "G"? it is in my hand when i press it.

You probably have a keybind conflict. Go to Options, Controls, and scroll down to Custom Pets. If the 'G' key is the color Red, then it is conflicting with another mod, and you'll either have to choose a new key, or change the other mod keybind. If it's not set at all, then give it a key you like.
You should change the noise that is called do not use to "Just Don't" and maybe also allow the player to make templates . And i also got an idea for a card ability. Called the disguise ability which allows to player to right click a mob and become it for 30 or more seconds . e.g if i were to be an ocelot creepers would run away or if i was a sheep wolves would attack me. they way to find it would to go through a dungeon and defeat a Pet master boss which spawns in the mob version of a pet and attack you and when it dies it drops the Disguise Card and itself as a pet which spawns in mobs like creepers,skeletons or zombies at random to fight for you and you earn a special template of the pet master

Hey really cool mod! I love it! Issue though. I was playing and just made my first custom pet. I had been collecting ability cards for a while, but when i went to actually add an ability, there was nothing there. so i'm guessing i either lost my ability's when i crashed my game (having issues with other mods) or that i can only learn ability's when i have a pet in my inventory? even though i can still right click a card and it say's "you have learned ____".

Hey there, I love Inventory pets and when I heard about the Custom Pet version I had to download it.
I wish I knew I needed to have made a pet before I used up all those cards, since I have found dozens before I actually made my pet.
Still a great mod, just gotta find those cards again.

I notice though it seems I lose all the cards I have gathered whenever I die, is this intended?
