Will there be a config option to turn the Windy heights off when its added ? If you could add a config option to turn each and every sound off that would be nice . Also man Im begging you can you add support for the local weather and storms mod ? Like the Wind tornadoes and hurricanes ! Please man please !

I'm really liking the ambient sounds you've added so far. The caves in particular are nice and eerie. I spawned on an island, and the sound of the breeze and waves was quite peaceful. Great job so far, I'm looking forward to further realeases.
Oh? I decompiled your code, not really much to it, doesn't look like it can handle other mod biomes very well either since it keys off names. You might want to consider using Biome tags instead or make the name list for each sound configurable. You're also going to run into problems with caves, you might want to add an additional check for the maximum amount of sunlight received by the players current position. It's not a great way to check if you're outside but its better than nothing. Your probably going to run into the exact same problem when you try to play wind sounds: if someone is high on top of a mountain and inside a building, just going off the height means you're going to play the sounds when their "inside". I mean its nice what you have I guess just easy to break.

I didn't add windy height yet, so it's too early to say anything about that.
My system might be easy to break but it works great if you are just playing the game. There is also a way to add biomes names to every sound which does make it mod compatible.
Sorry if i sound rude, but the mod is released, the system is working and i see no point in redoing everything again. I might change some things if people telling me that it's tooo easy to break, but for now i will leave it as it is.
Was just a suggestion, didn't mean to offend you, in my mod getting wind sounds correct was very difficult. Right now the way your code is written, if I'm at the bottom of a raven, its likely that you will play the "inside" Cave sound which would break the ambiance and be out of place and I assume you'd use the same check of the player's height to do the windy heights sound. I was merely suggesting that checking something like:

is a quick and easy way to make sure the player is outside or not in the raven situation.
"Released" but pre-alpha. Ok.
I'm sorry that it took me so long to answer but any way here we go.
First you should take a look into the newest update, i already changed some things and implement the light check.
I wanted to keep this mod as independent as possible, i cut every connection to my CreativeCore mod because i want to update it to 1.8 pretty soon. Hope you can understand this.
Why do all the sounds play when your under water? Can you fix that? Also I hear the jungle sounds when I'm in a caves. Please fix.
The sounds fade out slowly and it's not a bug that you can hear a jungle underwater, maybe i will add some filtering for it to make it sound more realistic. The newest version should fix your issue it uses the light value as well.

Oh, I'm not trying to convince you to use my mod anymore - I'm not really interested in working with you now that I've looked at the code, I just was suggesting a way to improve the cave sound. Glad you implemented it.

Sorry, i didn't want to make you angry. Yes the code is messy i couldn't find any time yet to clean it up.
It'd be cool if you could add resource pack support so that other people could make their own sounds in nature, or can you already do that with how it is set up?

It is already possible, open the mod file, deleted everything except of the assets folder replace your preferred sound files -> done.
Thank you for making this mod, I love it! One request though, could you turn down the volume of the crickets in the plains biome sound a little, so they blend in better? It gets really unnerving if you're in the biome for a long time.

I'm working on a similar project
Would you be interested in joining forces?
Hm, i don't know. My mod is already working and almost done. I don't think that i'm gonna change anything anymore.

this mod is taking so much ram on my computer.

Yes that's caused by the sound system of minecraft
Not planning to
Thanks.
