A few pages back there is a fill out you can PM to the developers for if you want to be a Beta tester. Don't know if they are adding anyone else though.
So it's going to be released on 1.10? It's near the end of the year, gotta boot up the ol' minecraft an get practicing.
1.10.2. I was told awhile back more than once that it would be 1.10.2. They're holding off on updating and focusing on putting out the release to avoid another set back. There's always a chance that things could change, I am not a developer or even a beta tester so I don't have inside information, but I was told this quite firmly multiple times so I do not believe at all that we are going to be surprised with a 1.11.

Oh, well their tag up top says 1.10, okie dokie then. Thank you.

I strive to build a Mechanical Dragon... It isn't going well.
Are any of the future creatures finished/completed? because all the models on them look great! Also, will the mounts have any special attacks, like the Dragons do? Ex. the hippocampus can spit streams of water and the hippogryphs could swoop down and carry enemies into the air? Because it would be hard to use a sword while riding a hippocampus, because bows dont really work underwater, and theres sea serpents and nagas in the water. And it just makes sense for the hippogryphs to be able to swoop down and grab enemies. And, it would be cool if your just walking in the mountains, and BOOM a hippogryph grabbed you and is flying to its nest, and you have to either risk trying to kill it in the air, or fight it in its nest to try and tame its young afterward.

I don't think that they've even started work on them yet much beyond modeling, texturing, and descriptions. For entities all I remember seeing on Github are snow villagers and dragons. The release they are currently working on is the core release. Everything else will be in addons.
Swoop attacks while you're mounted might not be the safest idea. You might get rubbed off or bash your head. It would have to be on command. Still I'm waiting on the edge of my seat to play with the hippogryphs. Think of a flying wolf that can be saddled, armored and chested and comes in several gorgeous biome based skins.
A far simpler mechanic for taming hippogryphs has already been chosen by the developers. They love rabbit. If you displease them while trying to tame them they might grab you, fly up high, and drop you.
Hippocampus are like sea horses. Literally horses in the water. They're fast so they can outrun predators and also like land horses I don't really see them as fighters. At least not the wild ones. Some form of knockback based attack to throw back predators could make sense, like your proposal for them to spit water. A defensive move they use in the wild to give them a chance to run. Charging could be another move, used to try and bash into and past an attacker. As the rider we might have command of these moves for battle. I could see strategically using knockback and charging moves in a sword fight to alternate between pushing the enemy away or rushing in close as needed.

I do not understand, isn'tMinecraftt at 1.11 already, what's this talk about releasing for 1.10.2? I am extremely curious when this mod will come out although exact date is difficult to know however likely how many months or is it year(s) from now?

They started making the mod around when 1.10.2 came out I think. converting the mod to a newer version would takes months, further extending the already year old WIP mod. Currently they're in the bug testing phase as of about two-three weeks ago. I'd say it'll be done this month or early January at the latest. But that's just me, I ain't got no real say in this

1. These questions have been answered several times on the last few pages. If you want to know where they are at, take 5 minutes of your time and read through a few posts.
2. 1.11 just came out, and while I've heard there's not a huge difference between 1.10.2 and 1.11, I don't think anyone is going to take their WIP mod and just keep redoing their code to keep up with the latest version of Minecraft before they even release a single version. If anything, it would come out for "1.X" version, and then get updated to the latest version of MC, if it was popular enough and/or they felt it was appropriate to do so.
3. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You want them to hurry up, but you're upset it won't be for 1.11. If for some reason they did decide to release for 1.11 (which to my understanding, isn't happening for the initial release), then that would take time...which would mean you'd have to wait even longer, which would in turn cause more complaining, and it seems you're already quite impatient, so I don't think that's something you'd want them to do.
It'll be released when they're done and ready. If you can't wait, then maybe you should unsub from the thread so you're not constantly reminded that it isn't ready yet, because belly aching helps nothing.

No, they didn't. This thread was created on 8/9/2015, as you can see from the date of the OP on page 1, while 1.10.2 was released June 2016.
I think in the Q&A it says the mod will be released for 1.10.2. Tho I'm not 100% sure cause i haven't read the Q&A in a long time.
It doesn't, but I think it should.
The thread tag says 1.10 (though I've heard several times it is actually 1.10.2). But, that should at least give some idea which version it will be released for, to those who keep asking the same question. Not to mention the countless times this has been repeated in the last 3 pages or so, as well.

When this mod was first being created 1.8.0 was the newest and that was the target update for the release. Then as time dragged on it was later changed to 1.9.4. Now it's going to be 1.10.2. I know because I've been watching this mod since back when they were still working on a 1.8.0 release. I actually had plans to combine it with Helpful Villagers which was promising a 1.8 update that never came. It would have been great watching armored and armed villagers rising up to defend the village from a rampaging dragon. But that was then and they've said many times in the past couple of months that this mod will be 1.10.2. So map your mods all you like. Just remember that this mod will run on LLibraryAPI I think it's called, so the mods you choose will need to be compatible with it.

Are any of the major mods NOT compatible with LLibraryAPI?
(Botania, Blood Magic, ect)
This mod is amazing, that is what I need to say, I can't wait to play it Good luck to the developers and the beta testers!
Ah fancy, Thanks. I'll go look for it.

I'm so excited for this mod. The models and textures look phenomenal.

Pretty sure that question would be best addressed via the llibrary thread, not here.
