"I thank you for your idea input to the creators of this mod, but any ideas for new dragons are not going to be implemented. However if you have any ideas for anything other than a dragon, then go right ahead and pour your heart out."
well I have a few more ideas of not dragon creatures, for example
killer worms, like the graboids from tremmors, but way bigger (mod developers can make it tamable)
sea serpents, with would be basicly a giant snake with the ability to spit water at you, just to keep you away, and also it can bite you for a bit of poison
(mod developers can make it tamable)
giant fish cause why not am I right?
Sea monsters, like a giant shelled squid, an deep sea glowing biolumenecent dragon fish, but big, and a lot of other sea creatures we have today but a bit bigger, and maybe throw in a few prehistoric sea creatures like the mosasaur or the megalodon in just to add variety
Sea monter bosses, like the Kraken, Loch Ness Monster, Scylla and Charbidis, an variation of the Kraken (like the one from Clash of Titans)
now out of the sea and into the desert
Camels, or something with the same ability as camels, just to make sure if anyone who's using the thist/heat/sanity mod can go trought deserts without dehydrating to death, an Thorny Dragon ( yeah I got the idea from ARK: Scorched Earth but hey, the dlc is beautyfull and awesome ), which will have its saddle like an elephant saddle thing, and the saddle and the creature itself will have a good storage, vultures cause why not, golems (maybe?), snakes and serpents on the desert, and obviously here comes the ARK: Scorched Earth ripoff part of my idea for desert creatures, so embrace yourself, Jerboa (Scorched Earth) basicly a little fox kanguru thing which by itself will only give you a bit of an xp boost when you're carrying it on your creature or in your shoulder, giant moths, cause flying? yeah gimme flying, giant mantis, cause its basicly going to be a warmount, the Morellatops cause its basicly a buffed camel lizzard thing, the death worms, maybe, Manticore, but not as a boss just as a very rare creature, and maybe a huge one as a boss would be nice, and, if this even categorises as dragons, Wyverns, which can throw poison, ligthing and fire, and maybe one that can throw water too

I started laughing and couldn't get half way though that. Go to page one, then open the spoiler labeled FUTURE CREATURES! Just go do it, it's too tedious pointing out the monsters you practically copied...

You want to give each creature and each separate idea its own line.
Like this.
So we can tell where one idea stops.
And the next begins.
Because you use run on sentences and it's difficult to follow your sentences.
Separating your ideas like this will make up for it and we'll be able to understand what it is you are trying to tell us.
I know you guys already have a great amount of awesome mythical creatures in the works, however, I just had the biggest erg to contribute.
So here is several unique mythological creatures I found.
The Caladrius;
(ancient Greek Mythology)
A large white bird usually described to be very dove-like.
It has the ability to heal the sic and injured, and, providing its size can be perhaps either be a majestic ally in which heals the player.
Or a slightly larger than normal fluffy mount that heals its rider.
Another way to incorporate it's abilities is perhaps right clicking it with a sponge that soaks up the healing powers or an empty bottle to get a regeneration potion.
The kirin;
(East Asian Mythology)
I noticed you guys plan on adding several horse-like steeds into your mod (hippogryf hippocampus)
and so, here is an Asian equivalent of the Unicorn, The KIrin.
The kirin is a scaled horse with either a single or several antlers/horns on its head.
Its mane stretches across its entire body and is often depicted to have a long tail.
They are very peacefull creatures who tend to have a slightly larger chest and/or a longer neck than other horses because their inspiration comes from giraffes.
While The kirin is a dragon-like hors. The Qilin are horse-like dragons who are vicous creatures with the vodies of horses yet head and claws of a dragon.
The Wolpertinger;
(Bravarian Folklore)
The wolpertinger is a hare who has antlers, wings, fangs, and a "lion's chest".
They are very much like jacalopes except with wings, fangs, and a large chest.
The would be pretty awesome companions who you could tame with maybe either carrots/golden carrots/ or trees(cause...nuts?)
The Ernenra;
(Japanese Folklore)
The are shadow demons who erupt from campfires.
They would be a monster made of shadow that would attack the player on site, however, The cloud monster added in the inbetween lands may be too much alike it.
The Manticore;
(Early Eastern Middle Persian Mardyakhor)
The large beast who can range from man sized to the size of a small house.
They have the body of a red lion with somewhat of a man's face, bat wings, and a scorpion's tail.
Large aggressive predators that could perphaps be beaten into submission and become a ferocious steed.
The Kun Peng;
(Chinese)
It name literally means Giant Fish (Kun) and Giant bird (peng).
It was a massive beast that was several thousand miles across(I think confusing wiki and impatient me)
(gonna probably just put him at the size of a dragon in this if he is massive)
He ether be an awesome mount, boss, or boss who his beaten and accepts himself as your mount.
Can transform from a fish to bird and back
Perhaps (I know I say that a lot) If he is chosen as a boss in your mod. His arena would be a great large circular lake inwhich is very deep and has mountains surrounding it with one little opening inbetween the mountains. that little opening is filled with sand and is a large beach inwhich has a single dock that you can depart from on a boat. The Kun Peng would spawn bellow you attacking your boat or you swimming and will fly out as a bird when you get on land.
The Kun Peng Is said to have bean the leviathan in the bible.... or is just very similar(again got lazy with reading).
I have a few more i found if you want but these ones would be awesome in game.
The pictures should be easy to tell apart and I included 4 different ones of the kirin just to show how unique it can be designed

Much of this probably won't be so much as considered, but this is a beautifully thought out and presented collection of ideas. I seriously, deeply, wish that more players put even half as much effort into their posted suggestions.
To have a pretty Kirin for a land mount would almost be dream come true. Beautiful idea. But I can't see caladrius really making an appearance. With the possible exception of the Wolpertinger the others don't lend themselves well to taming.

This mod seems nice. It will be good to track its progress and to play with it when the time comes.
Just a few questions to the Developers:
Will there ever be 4 legged variants of Dragons in the mod (doesn't really matter)?
And
Would Undead Dragons ever be added (Skeletal Dragons, Zombie Dragons or Ghost Dragons)? They could be Formidable enemies to fight (maybe even bosses), or have some special way of "taming", like how to get some of the special horses in Mo' Creatures Mod.

As has been stated on the FAQ on the front page, they are only doing the Fire and Ice Dragons shown and no other types of dragons.

im not a dev but i can try to answer your questions.
I myself asked a while ago if there will be four legged dragons, the devs kindly responded saying probably not.
As for the "skeletal dragon" if you go back a few pages in this thread the devs posted an image of a very far future concept of a boss similar to your idea.

1.) i know the dragons you are talking about, but they aren't four legged dragons, they are actually six legged dragons since the two wings on top are actually wings themselves, meaning that the dragons in the mod are already four legged, even more so since their four-wings actually double as legs. raptorfarian and Alex have been in a few dinosaur mods, and they know that the evolution of a six limbed creature is impossible, much less a creature with six limbs, breaths fire, and two of these limbs are wings. TREY the Explainer actually has a video about this somewhere.
2.) there are already skeletal dragons planned in the far future.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Please check out my mod, which is based on the Spiderwick Chronicles book series, NOT the movie.
Here are several more mythological creatures I've found;
The Garuda;
(Indian mythology)
These are the Oracles of the gods and the mount of vishna(one of the gods)
They have the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a human.
They could be tamed as both an ally that can be fought alongside as well as ridden.
(sentient)
The Satyrs;
(Greek Mythology)
They were half human half goat sentient species who fancied woman quite a bit and loved to drink.
They were some-what horse like in appearance and were rather buff.
They had small goat tails and horns with horse-like ears.
They were a very nature loving race.
They are much like a mix between a Minotaur and a faun(their roman copy-cats) (this mix between these two is to tell them apart from the faun in this mod)
For the sake of making them appear different than the faun, they could be covered completely in hair with a goat head (see picture below)
They are nuetral and can be allied
(sentient)
The Faun;
(roman mythology)
Ripped straight out of Greek mythology.
The Faun are much like the satyrs except with only the the thighs and under being a goat leg while their waste and above is human.
They do however have small goat tails, horns, and goat ears.
They weren't as respectful to nature as the satyrs.
They were in the movie series "Narnia"
They are nuetral and can be allied
(sentient)
The Centaurs
(Greek mythology)
They are a mix between a man(or woman) and a horse with the upper half being human and lower half being that of a horse
They have six limbs (two horse legs and two human arms)
They can either have helmets with antlers on them or grow natural antlers (up to you guys)
Centaurs are considered to be lustful and wild except for a few rare exceptions
Could have two mob versions, an aggressive one and a nuetral one (the aggressive possibly having more skulls in its uniform)
If allied they could possibly be ridden or fought alongside much like the garuda
(sentient)
The Umiboza;
(Japanese mythology)
They are towering giants that reside in the sea.
They are so large that they walk around on the ocean floor and yet you can still see their head and shoulders
They are very aggressive and only appear during storms and at night.
They could possibly break blocks in front of them as they walk towards them but only up to a certain height so that they stay at the same height in the sea at all times. (also can't jump or float in game)
They are said to be monks who were banished out to the sea or the homeless who found home in the sea (something like that)
(not very sentient however do sometimes ask for barrels to fill up water and drown the ship's crew)
The Ziphius;
(Medieval European Mythology)
I large whale-like sea monster that has an owl-like face and destroys all ships it sees
It is a large whale, around the size of a sperm whale.
It basically has the same intentions as Moby ****.
Aggressive
(not sentient)
The Eurynomos;
(Greek Mythology)
It is a spirit of rotting corpses and spends its entire life eating rotting corpses in the underworld
It is a nether creature
Basically a large zombie in the nether
Aggressive
(non sentient.... I think)
The Nuckelavee;
(Norse and Orcadian Mythology)
It is the most horrible demon of the Scottish lands
It appears as a Skinless one-eyed horse with a grin like a whales.
It also has the upper half of a skinless man stuck onto its back.
It's human half has large arms that reach all the way to the ground.
Think of it as the evil Scottish centaur.
Its breath spread disease and poisons the land as well as killing all crops it passes over.
It lives in the sea however no one knows what form it takes in the sea.
It will spawn on beaches and should be about as rare as a stage 5 dragon... maybe even rarer.
Very aggressive.
(sentient? unknown)
The Questing Beast;
(Medieval European Mythology)
Like the kirin, the quest beast or "barking beast" was the inspiration from giraffes (poor giraffes).
It is called the questing beast as it is seen as a classic foe for knights of the time.
It head the neck and head of a snake with the body of a leopard, the haunches of a lion, and the feet of a hart.
It was aggressive and would be good for training against dragons.
(non sentient)
The pictures below should be easy to tell apart providing the descriptions above.
Hey, I have and perfect Idea for this mod, more dragon types!
Earth Dragons are your usual land dragon, with a few variations here and there, with and rare kind of earth dragon thats basicly a worm dragon, which you'll be able to tame and ride, and the underground dragon will have you mount on a reinforced metal and glass saddle, so you can go undergound with it, also tamable
water dragons: usual stuff, with maybe a sea serpent dragon with the same saddle as the worm earth dragon, but with a water tank so you can go underwater for prolongued times, only having to emerge a few times to get air, also tamable
Lighting dragon: Variation of the water dragon, but only spawns in rare spots of the ocean, like slimes do on earth, it shoots a lighting beam, but it makes you imobile while firing it, and you need to charge it before using it, or by flying underwater fast and waiting a bit, or by killing squids and underwater creatures, and eating them, the water option can do for a fast charge but the creature killing option it will last a lot longer, the damage isnt that great too, being around the damage of a stone sword per tic, so you need to be realy fast and get off the beam's way, also tamable
just a few ideas ;D
Given that more dragons have already been rejected at least for the near/far future, if the devs ever do decide to add more dragons sometime in the very far future, I support this (or if they set up add-on apis or something, I might even try my hand at an expansion pack haha) I honestly do like the idea, but the devs have spoken
1.) i know the dragons you are talking about, but they aren't four legged dragons, they are actually six legged dragons since the two wings on top are actually wings themselves, meaning that the dragons in the mod are already four legged, even more so since their four-wings actually double as legs. raptorfarian and Alex have been in a few dinosaur mods, and they know that the evolution of a six limbed creature is impossible, much less a creature with six limbs, breaths fire, and two of these limbs are wings. i love the video. i was especially impressed by the flying snake that exists IRL!
that video is from TREY the explainer, you should realy subscribe to him, he does a lot of great content, not daily but damm when stuff comes out on his channel I'm ever impressed

Ooh we can suggest stuff? Not that I actually expect them to be added, but worth a shot.
For races:
Thriae: They look like a hybrid between a bee and a human. In mythology they could predict the future by throwing stones into a vase, so maybe a possible attack would be stones that they throw at you to cause various potion effects.
Adze: A vampire able to shift into the form of an insect (usually a firefly) and inflict disease onto it's victims.
Asrai: A fairy that melts into water when trapped/attacked
For animals:
Peryton: A winged deer
Ahool: A giant monkey with bat wings. It silently stalks it's prey through the jungle before dropping down onto it and attacking.
Dingonek: A leopard like creature with sabre teeth, large scales, and a poisonous stinger on the end of it's tail. It dwells near rivers
As wonderful as some of these suggestions are, I would rather most of them were not added. They already have a menagerie of creatures planned for this mod, enough that most people would be satisfied (probably should be). I say this because looked at Orespawn a.k.a. Crazycraft minus a few mods. The original idea of that mod (mining to have optional bosses) was completely lost when the creator decided to listen to practically every single suggestion. So I really think we need to cut back on suggestions. I will admit, that may be me sitting in a glass house, but still a lot of these suggestions for mobs are rather...out there in terms especially of practically implementing them in Minecraft.
Great job on the mod, but I have noticed something. You called the agressive Mermaids Naga's. Naga's are actually half human half snake looking beings. Not part fish. They are some of my favorite mythological creatures along side dragons, which is why it kinda bugs me. In fact I was wondering if you could make a Naga type creature that is tamable, or befriend-able is more like it. That would help you by carrying items, fighting that kind of thing. You would be able to equipt her or him with Armor(Only helmet and chestplate.) and a sword or bow and they would help you fight, but you have to give them food so they don't starve either. They could also say things in chat, reminding of their health and hunger or tips that might help you, as well as just random chat. You could also only befriend one or two Naga at a time, and Naga's wouldn't fight dragons, both being reptiles. Other then that I can't think of anything other then being found in rain forests and sometimes beaches if there is a cave close by and being extremely rare.

Admittedly I was not expecting that results....it can't be right, I for one have to much a hero complex for that to be right and two: I am one of the most Pessimistic people around.....yea I have no idea how I got Mew.....
Now I got it, this is the Pokemon I would be. And I am not just saying that because I like Mewtwo, I really am a lot like Mewtwo.

Oh, I assume they did so because we already have a Gorgon as half-human, half-snake-looking monster.

I thought the name was a little strange too. This mob sounds a little too versatile. Every mob has its own little quirk or two with the dragons being center stage.
You're describing a mob that can be tamed / befriended, equipped with either sword or bow, chested, armored, at risk of starvation, and chat. Does that sum it up? Would it wear some kind of backpack or would it have to place the chest in order to battle? And then what if your inventory is full? There would have to be some way to command him to pick up the chest, like an enderman. Or he simply can't battle while he is carrying a chest. And for him to be equipped he would need to have his own inventory slots for weapons, arrows, and armor. The starvation is a mechanic that not even the dragons use. Rather instead they stop listening if you don't feed them enough. This pet shouldn't be comparable to the dragons, so no starvation. And as far as not feeding enough, it's a humanoid. The closest it may come is paying/feeding to stay within its good graces. But again it shouldn't be like the dragons. So maybe hiring it to work for you would be better. Otherwise just tame the darn thing. I'm not hot to trot on all of this, just looking at how it might be possible.
If naga existed in the mod, the reptilian humanoid kind, I'd imagine they'd be a hostile. Possibly with a weapon. A bow would make things interesting. Also the Myrmex and the Faeries will be mobs that we can trade with, so with the naga being humanoid and to give them their own little quirk perhaps there could be a way to earn their trust (or just get close enough while keeping it in a semi-aggressive state, sort of like an enderman) in order to trade with them, for some otherwise difficult to obtain items to make it worth the risk.
Edit: If we're nitpicking on names, then I agree that the name "Siren" is more appropriate for aggressive mermaids. But it doesn't bother me either way.

I definitely think the naga should be named sirens as well. I am also in favor of the naga being separate from the sirens but i don't know how I feel about being able to tame them.
HI im new and i really like this mod can someone give me the link for the download please
"I thank you for your idea input to the creators of this mod, but any ideas for new dragons are not going to be implemented. However if you have any ideas for anything other than a dragon, then go right ahead and pour your heart out."
well I have a few more ideas of not dragon creatures, for example
killer worms, like the graboids from tremmors, but way bigger (mod developers can make it tamable)
sea serpents, with would be basicly a giant snake with the ability to spit water at you, just to keep you away, and also it can bite you for a bit of poison

giant fish cause why not am I right?

Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light
I know you guys already have a great amount of awesome mythical creatures in the works, however, I just had the biggest erg to contribute.
So here is several unique mythological creatures I found.
The Caladrius;
The kirin;
The Wolpertinger;
The Ernenra;
(Japanese Folklore)
The are shadow demons who erupt from campfires.
They would be a monster made of shadow that would attack the player on site, however, The cloud monster added in the inbetween lands may be too much alike it.
The Manticore;
The Kun Peng;
Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light
This mod seems nice. It will be good to track its progress and to play with it when the time comes.
Just a few questions to the Developers:
Will there ever be 4 legged variants of Dragons in the mod (doesn't really matter)?
And
Would Undead Dragons ever be added (Skeletal Dragons, Zombie Dragons or Ghost Dragons)? They could be Formidable enemies to fight (maybe even bosses), or have some special way of "taming", like how to get some of the special horses in Mo' Creatures Mod.
Anyways, Keep up the Great Work!
Hope this helped.
Please check out my mod, which is based on the Spiderwick Chronicles book series, NOT the movie.

Here are several more mythological creatures I've found;
The Garuda;
(Indian mythology)
These are the Oracles of the gods and the mount of vishna(one of the gods)
They have the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a human.
They could be tamed as both an ally that can be fought alongside as well as ridden.
(sentient)
The Satyrs;
(sentient)
The Faun;
(sentient)
The Umiboza;
The Ziphius;
(Medieval European Mythology)
I large whale-like sea monster that has an owl-like face and destroys all ships it sees
It is a large whale, around the size of a sperm whale.
It basically has the same intentions as Moby ****.
Aggressive
(not sentient)
The Eurynomos;
(Greek Mythology)
It is a spirit of rotting corpses and spends its entire life eating rotting corpses in the underworld
It is a nether creature
Basically a large zombie in the nether
Aggressive
(non sentient.... I think)
The Nuckelavee;
(sentient? unknown)
The Questing Beast;
The pictures below should be easy to tell apart providing the descriptions above.
words
Given that more dragons have already been rejected at least for the near/far future, if the devs ever do decide to add more dragons sometime in the very far future, I support this (or if they set up add-on apis or something, I might even try my hand at an expansion pack haha) I honestly do like the idea, but the devs have spoken
i love the video. i was especially impressed by the flying snake that exists IRL!
that video is from TREY the explainer, you should realy subscribe to him, he does a lot of great content, not daily but damm when stuff comes out on his channel I'm ever impressed
Oh, I assume they did so because we already have a Gorgon as half-human, half-snake-looking monster.
The name of the Naga's should change to Siren

Ice and Fire: Dragons in a whole new light
I definitely think the naga should be named sirens as well. I am also in favor of the naga being separate from the sirens but i don't know how I feel about being able to tame them.
