I really liked this mod but then it deleted my inventory and never gave the items back... my suggestion is not making it a permanent delete of your entire inventory. i have quit playing the modpack i was playing purely because it deleted my entire inventory and i was mid moving bases so i lost almost everything. great mod though way better then lucky blocks!
This reward was disabled by default a while back. I would consult the modpack maker about this.
oh alright sorry. also I didn't mean to make my comment sound like I was blaming you. its my fault for breaking a "chance cube" while carrying important stuff. Thanks for letting me know!

All good. It's people like you who were showing their dislike for the reward that caused me to make it off by default. If you don't like something, feel free to speak up, because this is a mod for you guys!

I really like this. It's got some very creative outcomes, I gotta say, however, I will offer both some constructive criticism and some suggestions.
1: The tier 4 luck pendant is gamebreak incarnate, especially for how (relatively) Cheap it is to make. This may be different for boxes found naturally, but when I was testing it in creative, I had pretty much no negative results. This would allow you to get hilarious amounts of high value items.
2: It may just be me but there is a bit TOO much reliance on explosive results. In my experience I found Invisible Creepers, TNT drops, TNT+Redstone drops, Cheetah-mounted TNT, the webbed TNT, and (admittedly my favourite) The Ender Crystal one, to say nothing of the Giant version that just farts TNT all over the place. It may just be me but I found it getting a tiny bit on the tiresome side.
3: This will require further testing on my part but I've found that some of the results - ESPECIALLY the Giant Block results - can bore through the bedrock on the bottom of the map. This is kind of a problem. I've seen it happen with the Ore Pillar result and I THINK the Floor Is Lava result caused it too, but I'm not quite as sure on that one. I really don't like using mods that can cause THAT sort of damage to the world.
4: One suggestion - I'm not entirely sure how mods work in this regard, but for the Ore Pillar thing, is it possible to pull from the Ore Dictionary to add mod ores?
I'll be keeping an eye on this one, but I don't know if I'll be using it till I know those bedrock bugs are fixed. Keep up the good work, though!

1. Yes the luck pendants can be slightly game breaking, but they are in the mod for those who want it. If you don't like them, don't use them. If you are making a pack and don't like them, then you can remove their recipes or change them. Basically as it stands these items are not a high priority,
2. Yes, there is some reliance on explosions and such, but to be fair it is one of the best ways to "kill" or harm the player. Sure it would be nice to move to some other method, but in vanilla there just isn't many options. Hopefully If I get around to adding more mods will addon rewards, I can get some more that don't rely on explosions.
3. I will look into rewards that are removing bedrock and see what i can do to stop this from happening.
4. I will see if there is a way to get the ores in game so that they can be added to the pillars
Hey Turkey! I've been having a lot of fun with this mod on Revenge of the C-Team. You should add that modpack to your list of packs that Chance Cubes are featured on.

I was also having crashes when using the large chance cube so I followed your suggestion. I updated chisel from Chisel2-2.4.1.40.jar to Chisel-2.9.5.11.jar and now Chance Cubes works perfectly. Thanks!

Hello, I really like this mod, and have a question.
I have this in a big modpack (234 mods right now), and would like to add other mod's items and stuff to it.
Where can I find a tutorial for how to add custom items to them lists of chance cubes rewards?

•Fact: The more users pester people who make mods to update their mods to a new version of minecraft, the less likely it is that it will be quickly updated.
•Fact: The more you comment about it, the more likely you are to be ignored.
•Fact: The more recent the last post about updating a mod is, the more annoying yours will be.
•Fact: Using all caps does not reverse any of the above effects.

I'm updating mods in my mod pack and seeing if placing some blocks in world causes any crashes and i got one as soon as i placed giant cube.
Come check out my pack and tell me what you think.
Are you sure you are using the normal Chance Cubes jar and not the deobf, or sources version?
what i have is a jar file and i got it from here

Make sure there is no -sources or -deobf at the end of the file name. If it still isn't working try a different version and let me know if that works

ive checked twice and there are neither of those. it worked on its own but when added to my other mods the big cube crashes my modpack.
Come check out my pack and tell me what you think.
Try updating your version of chisel.

I'm a little behind, but it should have the basics for what you need to create basic custom rewards! https://github.com/wyldmods/ChanceCubes/wiki
I found that after asking this, and there is one thing that I cannot find.
How do I set the probability of a reward at the right chance of cube being the custom one?
Thanks for the quick reply, fastest that I have ever had from a mod developer
