one thing that i hate is that the boom spider can kill your other spiders!!! it peeves me because i have to look all over for some wolves to convert to nova spiders. cant there be something that stops them from damaging your spiders?
An idea, assuming I or another didn't suggest this already I can't remember, since Bama does both the Spider Queen and MCA, how about an add-on that allows for greater interaction between the two?
It would allow cocooned MCA spiders, with villager faces, and if you marry a villager, you could have kids who turn out to be spider kings/queens. Villagers would also be part of the Human faction, if you kill too many players, guards would attack you on sight.
Maybe you could get some MCA like interactions with the other Spider Queens also.

I went back and found the ancient Minecraft Alpha thread by Pullahoko and it has some pretty cool ideas.
His post:
Hey all. I just bought Minecraft Alpha a few days ago and I love it!
Here's something I've been thinking about for awhile; playing as a
spider in multiplayer survival.
Why a spider?
- Spiders are nature's builders, and in a game about building I think it
would be fun to be one! As a human, the night is your enemy and
underground dungeons are sometimes frightening experiences. As a
Spider, the underground is your turf, and the night is your friend! Build and expand your dungeon lair, and venture out into the night to hunt for food!
GAMEPLAY
- Instead of spawning into the world above-ground, you spawn a little
ways BELOW ground near a mob-spawner which will fill your lair with
other spiders. This spawner can be moved at your will as you expand
your dungeon, but you only get one! The only digging tool you'll need
is your claws, but be aware that resource blocks can't be broken! This
not only forces you to work around them, but also entices adventurers to
enter your lair!
Instead of an Armor Health indicator that we have now, in Spider Mode it
will be replaced with a Hunger Meter. As you use your abilities (more
on that later), it will decrease, meaning you will have to venture above
ground in search of food. Mobs that come out at night won't attack
you, but HUMANS will!
What can a spider do?
- Since you are active at night, spiders can see in the dark. This makes moving around underground tunnels a breeze!
- Killing mobs turns them into items (Coccooned (MOB)) which you can use to recover your Hunger Meter. Use them on the spot, or bring them back to your lair for later!
- Create webs! At the cost of Hunger, making a web on the ground
creates a sticky surface that traps mobs. Placing one on a wall allows
you to climb up it! In addition, Web BLOCKS can be created at will,
though they will also cause you to become hungry.
- Lay eggs! At the cost of a chunk of your energy, you can lay an Egg
Block which in time hatches into a Spider. Place them around your
dungeon to fill it with allies, or hide them in an enemy location to
cause trouble!
What about crafting?
Spiders can craft too, though they work a little differently than usual!
Harvesting the Web Blocks you create will give you a special
spider-only building material, SILK. Using this silk, you can craft things such as:
-Web-Doors
-Reinforced web blocks that make your dungeon stronger
-Trap floors used to cover and conceal holes
-Spidery version of the Storage Chest
-Trip wires which can be used to activate traps
Make your dungeon lair give adventurers nightmares!
Co-Op Dungeon-Diving?
Working with a friend who is playing as a human character, go on spelunking adventures using your abilities to aid them!
-Scout out dark areas and locate resource blocks
-Collect their fallen items should they die
-Fight hostile mobs alongside them
-Give them leftover silk, allowing them to craft stronger items
-Toggle your allies to Passive stance, and invite them to see the inside of your dungeon
-Live in their house, gathering wood and MOB items during the night. Stay inside during the day for safety.
-Decorate their home with special items only YOU can craft
When in a multiplayer server (or maybe even single-player) I suggest you receive the option to be a human or spider-queen.
My own ideas (TL:DR Encourage the spider to act like a spider and give them more weaknesses and human players more strengths):
A lot of these aren't viable, but there are quite a few interesting
ideas in here. Like spawning underground would make a lot more sense.
You are a creature of darkness.
Co-op dungeon diving with one spider-queen and one human would be awesome.
But there have to be weaknesses, strengths, and new features for humans
otherwise there's no point in being one. You're just a worse
spider-queen.
A few ideas on the above:
Spider queens have 8 legs, so they need 4 leggings and/or 4 boots combined to be able to wear them.
Spider queens have worse vision than humans in light and better vision than humans in darkness.
Spiders are worse at building/mining normally. They rely mostly on webs and existing environment to build and mining is unneeded.
Remove the spider queen's ability to eat normal food or make it poison them.
Villagers atttack spider queens on sight.
Humans overhaul, your co-op human has a large range of features that you don't. Trading, hiring, etc.
Bane of Aphropods works against you and more heavily armed humans have it on their weapon.
Your hitbox is bigger, you are 2x2x2 and need bigger doors, you are also easier to hit.
Bird creatures that can fly and attack you, as birds are a spider's natural enemy. Birds can be tamed by humans and ridden, also giving them special attacks using the bird against you and giving them the advatange. You are unable to ride birds but with a web-slinger you can hook on and with a large amount of web you can catch it.
Spider dungeons that have human-loot but a spider environment. Your partner gets the loot and you get the webs.
Remove the spider-queen's ability to use redstone, that is a human's job.
Disregard most of this for single-player.
Make it so you can't store cocoons in inventories, only suspended in web.
You are unable to tame wolves, cats, rabbits, etc. You also have no control over farm animals, they flee when they see you.
Whenever you say something in chat a couple s's are added after every s. Example: "She sells seashells by the seashore." becomes "Ssshe sssellsss ssseassshellsss by the ssseassshore!"
FANGS!
You get less food points from the cocooned undead because they have little to no blood.
Remove Herobrine. This one's important.
You absolutely MUST as a spider queen kill things and eat them. There's no such thing as a vegetarian spider, THE VILLAGERS NEED MORE REASON TO FEAR YOU!
FANGS!
Your food can be de-cocooned by humans using shears as a form of griefing.
Spider tools can be only crafted by spiders but used semi-decently by humans, and vice-versa. Perhaps there are a large number of things spider-queens can't craft. Also new items and toys for the humans.
The higher your brightness setting as a spider, the harder it gets to see.
A more important idea: Have it so if something stays in your webbing for long enough they are cocooned and you get more out of these cocoons. I doubt any spider has caught their prey by slinging web at it.
Also, FANGS! HOW DO DRINK THE LIFE OUT OF MY ENEMIES WITHOUT FANGS? HOW DO I POISON THEM IF I HAVE NOTHING TO INJECT IT? WHAT SETS ME APART FROM A HUMAN OTHER THAN MY FANCY LEGS? SWORDS ARE THE WEAPONS OF A HUMAN, I USE FANGS!

the fangs are hidden, like a vampires
and with the poison, its ether in your fangs or in your claws

I totally second that. I only run mods on a server and everyone loves the mod but after 3 days everyone is asking how to become human again.
You should have an option for that. I don't want to loose the super cool insects you got.
Anyway, just a thought.

In the absence of the mind, imagination is the alternative.
So I'm new to modding and all, but I got through downloading the mods okay; followed all the directions.
Got the mod to open, and it played okay in mechanics, but random item icons in my inventory were replaced with pixelated squares. Such as string, and Cobweb, and such. Switching to a different resource pack and then switching back cleared it up, but I'm thinking I did something wrong.
Also, I noticed a few suspicious details that happened with two other unrelated applications after playing, that made me think 'virus'. I don't know for certain if I got a virus from these, but it's very inconvenient that I have to watch out for these things.
Did you download the mod from radix-shock.com or not? Because if you didn't, it might as well be that you really got yourself a virus installed. As for the issues, I do not experience any visual bugs with any of the non-MCA items. And the only visual bugs that I do experience with MCA items are with the Tombstone, Villager Editor and Whistle, which are already known and being worked on.
I went to the website the original poster linked and downloaded radix-shock from their links. I did go to plain radix-shock.com afterwards, but as I recall I clicked on the Spider Queen website links to download. The only places I downloaded anything from was the original forge website and the spider-queen mod site - which is the radix-shock.com site, sort of.
Sophos couldn't find anything suspicious in a full-computer scan, and I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything entirely stupid, so I'm going to assume that the bugs in other programs were glitches that decided to prey on my natural paranoia.
I looked up texture glitches and found something similar of item textures being lost that was part of the version of Forge I was using - which was 1.7.10.
I've deleted the mods since and didn't take any screenshots, but I suppose I can try to do it over again and see if it clears up.
i have an idea for the mod (i dont know if this is the place for it but anyways). how about a setting where you can randomly leave webbing under your feet, that way eventually you can turn your home into a spider wonderland! and maybe instead of you leaving the webs, maybe your spiders can! please consider it.
Retried the mod, downloaded only from files.minecraftforge.net for forge and from the download links on the first post of this thread. Did exactly as the instructions said.
Upon first loading the game (I have Crafteryada resource pack which was running at the time):
After switching to the normal resource pack the text and textures showed up, but upon exiting and reentering the game, here's the String texture. Or rather, the not-texture:
And also you may notice the lack of skinny spider hand hovering on the right side of the screen....
Again, these are literally downloaded fresh from the orange buttons on the first post of this thread and the forge website. So unless I'm doing something seriously wrong somehow or unless some previous iteration of wrongness has stuck around, there must be some issue on the opposite end.
The mechanics of the mod seem to work and Sophos' virus senses are not tingling. I've never had any other mods installed; I'm completely new to modding. Suffice to say this is not a fun first experience. Hopefully someone will be able to figure out what's going on; I really did want to play this.

I was a bit off-put at first when I started into this mod. It was strange to see so many player models at once-- but then I pressed f5. I was quite impressed-- even the legs move! After trying several of the features of the mod, I realized that this was the most fun I had achieved in Minecraft for quite some time. I guess playing as a human miner all the time can wear you down. Thank you for this mod. It made me smile.
So what are your thoughts on the nearby(, and perhaps close,) update? Would it be challenging to get the spiderqueen mod updated then? Or is this something you think you'll need to do at your leisure? I wouldn't mind waiting for the next update if it were the latter case. '3'

The Royal Blood seems to drop from enemy Queens, but as far as I can tell it has no function. I remember in the old mod it was supposed to be placed next to an egg to hatch a prince spider or something, but I don't know what it does now.
i have a great idea its for the spider queen mod and minecraft comes alive what if you make it when you are using minecraft comes alive and spider queen mod and you procreate your kid will be half spider half human.

i guess so. just a pet peeve. sorry.
in case of emergency, release the boom spiders

i think the player players are very smart
they are able to cut them self free with a sharp object being a sword, axe or shears
webbing a player player would only slow them down

1. making mods that means coding because you need to know how to code to make mods.
