I didn't touch the config file at all. where do you guys see this is about the spawn rate? ranged attribute can be various stuff, right? Are you overriding any existing entities? maybe there is a conflict with an other mod.
I'm guessing there is a conflict with another mod. If you didn't touch the spawn rates in the config, they should be fine I would think.

I leave Minecraft for a year,come back and see THIS! It's amazing!! though the antlers and tail look far from the Monster Hunter one. But other than that,it's good! btw,will I be able to get a Monster Hunter-like Kirin if I breed it with a unicorn? anyway,I'm excited to see it finished and to hunt one!

ok so this is a poll right, well for a new horse breed i think it should be hippogriff or a dragon horse there is a better name i just can't spell it. to get the hippogirff look it should be a cross from a eagle with Pegasus and some have deer like horns and dragon horse is a cross between a dragon and a unicorn very rarely a Pegasus or horse that one should be hatched not birthed

Custom powers, have you thought of adding the hippogriff swim powers to the unicorn/pegasus? Would be amazing to be able to fly underwater, etc. Even if you had to find a way to be able to see down there.
My installation of the 1.7.10 version of 1.5.0 went poorly. I found a rather strange and game-breaking bug.
The kirin's fire breath attack is really neat. All the other horses thought so, too, and decided to start breathing fire and never stop.
So I had a world of wild horses that were all constantly spewing out fire, turning the land into an inferno. Taming them didn't fix it.
It's all a bit strange. I reverted to the previous version for now. The kirins are really cool, though, and I eagerly await the day they're no longer a bad influence on the other equines.
Do my eyes deceive me? HE LOOKS AMAZING!! I love the color palete you used for this,it looks very dragon-like and horse-like at the same time! it looks like it's been breeded with the nightmare and the hippocamp (I'm guessing it is since it could breathe fire and walk on water) I got it in creative,but I'm having a hard time finding one in survival,where does it spawn again? kek.

Thank you! I tried very hard to design him to find that balance between horse and dragon. He is a pure-breed, so you'll have to find one, and you can't breed him from other things. Getting one in survival will be hard, but the oracle can tell you where to find one.

So, if you give a hippocamp fish tail or the kirin magic powers to a horse (through breeding or direct DNA manipulation via cheats like the /changeHorse command), your horse will be able to navigate underwater (kirin can walk on water, but as part of that ability, you can use the descend key to sink into the water and move around). When you are underwater on your horse, the horse gives you the ability to see better underwater (using the Nightvision potion effect, which as a side effect also lets you see a lot better underwater).
I need to add documentation to the web site talking about Kirin DNA. Its inclusion has added a lot of extra bits and pieces, including pieces for antlers, alternate body shapes, inheritable magical powers, and long tail vs short tail. There's a lot of new stuff going on under the hood with the new addition of the kirin, including stuff I added looking forward (and by that, I'm specifically talking about alternate body shapes for breeds that have parts that don't look particularly horse-like).
Not sure if i'm the first to ask, can't tell with all the pages and idk where to find a wiki, but what questions am I supposed to ask the awakened oracle?

I'm toying around with this mod as it is a somewhat popular candidate to add to the pack in a future update, since I'm not going to add any more mods until 1.10.2, and this crash sometimes pops out of the blue. While I'm not familiar with that function, it kinda sounds like someone logs in or disconnects, and the NullPointerException happens. Why the mod is doing it, not a clue, but Bug Fix Mod is your first suspect.

Oooooooh do a Kelpie! Maybe they are found in swamp biomes.
Like they look like beautiful white horses, but when you ride them they turn all sticky and green with seaweed for their manes and sharp fangs and try to drown you! Maybe to attempt taming you have to put a golden halter on them. And like, you need to hope you can get a breath when taming one. When tamed they have high health and are very strong.
A Hypogriff? Like a mix of bird predatory bird and horse.
Centaur villages to trade with would be really cool, too.
A Fae horse would be neat, coming in pretty pastel colors with butterfly wings.
Another possibility is something inspired by the Eohippus.
Maybe make it so you can breed the Four Horses of the Apocalypse!
Or maybe a sort of ghost horse... there are so many cool things you can do!
Can you add an option to disable your rabbits from spawning naturally? It is kind of redundant with mods like Et Futurum, and also if you are on 1.8 or above.
