Has anyone else been getting a crash on servers while using the 1.8 version of this mod? It works when I am playing the single player game but my server crashes when I try to load it. I was using Forge 11.14.4.1563 and the 1.4.5 version of this mod. The 1.4.2 version of the mod works on both server and single player in Forge 11.14.4.1563.
Yes, crashing too here, on a fresh Forge server v11.14.4.1563 with just this mod, v1.4.5 or 1.4.6 Crash report here
1.4.2 works fine indeed.

1.4.2 works fine indeed.
I made a pretty silly mistake on that one. I was calling a clientside variable to place information in the configuration file. Fix will be up shortly. Along with a shiny new feature, because I feel bad for disappearing for a month. Thanks for you patience!
Changed Regular Teleporter Recipe (uses iron blocks instead of quartz blocks)
Fixed server crash bug when loading config
Conformed versioning to all minecraft versions
All questions/comments/suggestions welcome, but please keep in mind I am one person with not a lot of free time. Please submit bug reports via. PM if they are urgent. Discrepancies between 1.7.10 & 1.8.X exist. If they don't break the game, I probably won't be tackling them.
Thanks for waiting!
PS: 1.9 version coming soon. Would like to squash any bugs in the 1.7/1.8 versions first, however.
The 1.7.10 version I put out with the 1.8 and 1.8.9 versions was not properly tested at all due to how my development environment is set up. Please do not use it. I have archived that release and rolled back to the previous version. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have tested this and not encountered it on my machine for either version. I have also tested it on an external 1.7.10 server and not had any problems. Could you please provide more details? Which minecraft version is this on? Do you have other mods installed? Any other modifications/config file changes I need to know about? I can't guarantee this mod will work successfully with other mods.
Hi Dan,
i have exactly the same problem as Nextwave. At first the teleporters worked just fine. But after i made some new ones and put in keys, it suddenly broke all down. Now i constantly have the problem with teleporters being reported as blocked although they are not. Well it is not really constant, sometimes they do work, but rather seldom. I removed all teleporters except for the first three, which were definitely working for the first week or two. But they still report others as blocked. Even if i put two next to each other, so i can SEE that it is not blocked.
I am running VanillaTeleporter-1.7.10-1.0.3 on "Forge Mod Loader version 7.99.40.1614 for Minecraft 1.7.10". I do have a lot of other mods installed, basically all which are also in the "Life in the woods: Renaissance" modpack (but in the most current version available) plus buildcraft, railcraft and forge essentials.
But i am confused, since it ran at first so good. The latest additions were buildcraft and railcraft, so if there is an incompatibility, i would think those are the culprits.
I can provide debug logs, if i can turn on debug logging somehow?
I would be very glad if this could be resolved without having to remove mods. I like the teleporters very much.

I'm aware of this issue. Spawned / teleported golems from his mod do not recieve the IExtendedEntityProperties associated with my teleporter. As a result, they don't have the onTeleporter or teleported variables that stop them from constantly activating the teleporter. I'll look into how they are initialized and see if it's fixable.
Couldn't your teleporters be adjusted to NOT teleport entities missing those variables?
I have added this mod to my server, and it does not play nice with Railcraft.
For anyone constantly struggling with an in-game warning that your teleporter is blocked, it could possibly be Railcraft.
Message in chat: "Teleporter is blocked; skipping..."
Railcraft's "Aura Tracking" system leaves behind a block/remnant on the teleporter to track the player. You need to disable this system to be able to properly use Vanilla-Inspired Teleporters.
If you go into railcraft.cfg, there is a line that says "B:trackingAura=true" and this needs to be set to false.
Aside from this small issue, awesome mod! Thanks to the devs. Super snappy, no flicker or lag, and great for climbing buildings (by level) or even just making unique lookout locations easily accessible.
Thank you so much for this mod! I tried like two other teleporters. One was way to complicated and the other wasn't dimension compatible. (By dimension compatible I mean it can teleport through dimensions.) When I found this mod, it blew my mind of how simple it was to connect teleporters and how cool it looks too! I never used it in survival yet. Just creative. But good mod! Keep up the good work!
Couple of issues noted between the 1.8 and 1.11+ versions...
The 1.8 ones used to work through carpet.
Trapdoors on them used to allow Inbound when closed (Trapdoor blocked Outbound) and Outbound when open (Open Trapdoor was at Inbound blocking height)
If you can fix these it would be appreciated.
Suggestions:
A 3rd variant that allows hoppers to load and empty it's destination item inventory, along with a comparitor I/O redstone output option.
Downwards facing arrival only option by placing a Teleporter facing down
By combining these and the trapdoor trick a teleport platform could be made, being able to switch the outbound destination item whilst keeping the return item (downwards facing Teleporter) the same.
@csb987 Just a thought on the 'unlocked' teleporters...
If they could optionally act as a single chunk loader* (locked won't matter as they are outbound only)
This should help those with the memory but network loading lag, to allow the arrival terrain to be pre-loaded prior to their arrival and helping prevent teleporter loading disconnects.
when i teleport with the ender teleporter all my xp vanishes
;-;
forge :14.23.4.2705
vanilla teleporters:1.6.3 beta4
mc: 1.12.2
-edit- the xp comes back after i quit my world and re enter it,
the same happens with other tp mods 0.o
I have seen this as well. If you gain any exp after "losing" it you gain it all back. You also get it back if you go into and out of the nether. This might be a forge bug and dimensional travel.
This mod is perfect!!! Will you be updating it to 1.9 sometime in the nearest future? Seems like a fantastic mod!

Excellent, and thanks! But please don't feel bad for anything, you have zero obligations. Feeling culprit isn't a good source of motivation, trust me.
About Ender teleporters, do they work across dimensions created with Forge Essentials' multiworld?
And, umm, if they are better than regular teleporters, shouldn't their recipe be more expensive and not less?
Edit:: Self-answer to my first question: Forge Essentials' multiworld is broken, but Simple Dimensions work with the Ender teleporters. Neat!

game crashed in palying 1.7.10
when i use redstone ligjt to be a key it crashed
can you fix it?
Couldn't your teleporters be adjusted to NOT teleport entities missing those variables?
Awesome mod. Can I use this for my Technic Modpack?
Keep up the good work!
i love this mod, but when using it in LAN/Server it comes up Fatally Missing Blocks and Items
Couple of issues noted between the 1.8 and 1.11+ versions...
If you can fix these it would be appreciated.
Suggestions:
By combining these and the trapdoor trick a teleport platform could be made, being able to switch the outbound destination item whilst keeping the return item (downwards facing Teleporter) the same.
Correct version has to be installed to both client and server.
*LoadChunk as a config option, off by default
when i teleport with the ender teleporter all my xp vanishes
;-;
forge :14.23.4.2705
vanilla teleporters:1.6.3 beta4
mc: 1.12.2
-edit- the xp comes back after i quit my world and re enter it,
the same happens with other tp mods 0.o
I have seen this as well. If you gain any exp after "losing" it you gain it all back. You also get it back if you go into and out of the nether. This might be a forge bug and dimensional travel.
