a way for shared usernames could also be that the username displayed indicates the player in control. when holding a thaumomether or using goggles of revealing maybe you could see who is in that body with him, maybe their username is displayed grey and smaller underneath the controller.
I like that!
Speaking of using a Thaumometer on them... Players normally have four aspects attached to them. Maybe the combined body has two of each players' apsects?
Fun fact, I have Lux and Tenebrae on the server I play on. Direct contradiction or perhaps a magical balance, who knows.
but there is still something that bugs me. what would the player not in control be doing? just watch?
Why not have one control one hand and the other control the other hand
like while one is wildly trying to swing their sword to keep a creeper away, the other hand could be placing blocks to make a wall to block that evil creeper

Oooh, that actually sounds like it could work... I mean there's bound to be uses we can't think of until we have this implemented, so who knows, this may end up being quite handy. I can imagine this being helpful in the End, one person shooting arrows at the End Crystals (the healing things on the towers) and the other fighting endermen and running away from the Dragon.
I can -vaguely- imagine hacking something together by using how the mounting system works. Untamed horses move and let you look around, while you can't control their movement directly. Still, it seems screamingly difficult, as I don't know the inherent limitations of Minecraft in that regard. Or in any. (Because I don't know Java.)
The mental image of such cooperation just makes me think of one guy sticking torso-up from the other guy's back.

That kind of sounds like it might work. Vaguely, as you said, though.
I have an intresting idea allowing you to posses a creature. It would act like 1.8 spectating but you can move in the body. You need to grow the animal in the vat then infuse the animal with salis mundis and ethereal essence to make it capable of inhabiting a human soul. Infuse it witth some spiritus and aruam with an empty jar nearby for the creature's soul. When the animals infused place a soul beacon ontop of the vat and, well die then you will be a [insert creature name here]! If you want to leave the body, die.
Guys, people who play video games tend to get frustrated at their co-op partners even when they are controlling separate characters. Players probably wouldn't use this for more than 10 minutes, and many players probably wouldn't even try it the special beacon because it doesn't seem to give any benefit.
A dev has to consider how much people will actually use a mechanic before figuring out how to make it work. This sounds extremely hard to program for a very short lived novelty.
ok, this is actually pretty funny. im in a creative world, planning to build a frame machine with an arcane bore and an aura node. i attached 2 transduction amplifiers and it seems to have the neat little effect of zapping and killing nearby mobs.

Those are the Hazardous bolts of Energy the Thaumonomicon talks about. At three Transduction Amplifiers, the bolt frequency increases and flux starts slowly spawning around the setup. One Flux Scrubber should be enough to counteract it, in my testing.
Besides, I believe Kentington mentioned the soul beacon being basically where he wanted to stop with the soul-shenanigans. Too many things are being talked about as if they're guaranteed to happen, which they most certainly are not, especially given their limited use-case scenarios and difficult to implement.

i have found a tainted node in my survival world with 150 perdito. im going to run 4 arcane bores off that, mounted in the front of the frame machine. 2 pointed into the frontal direction, and 2 pointed down. since the arcane bore should accept up to 100 cv, im planning on beefing that thing up even further with the transduction amplifiers.
the foci in the borse will both be upgraded with potency 5.
have you ever seen the speed of an arcaner bore with a potency 5 focus and efficiency 5 pick? its pretty nuts i hope the gigantic aura node makes that even more ridiculous.
i extect my bottleneck to be the chest storage and the ability to empty the input chest fast enough.

I hope you have some method of giving us a world download, because that sounds too cool to not have.
I just found an amusing bug: It seems that the Scholar's lens continues scanning while the game is paused. I noticed it because I paused while looking at some wooden slabs, and the repeated failure was ticking my speaker from the background.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
how do i supply centivis to the curative vat i had few vis relays next to it and 1 on the runic matrix but none supply any and my shell died
What I've seen best provides the Centivis is when the vis relays are directly attached to the side of the vat (on the glass). How many infusions were you performing on the shell? How stabilized is your setup?

that will be difficult, because im playing on a modpack that ive put together myself. and redistributing mods is something that is usually frowned upon. making it public means getting the ok from all the mod authors and crediting them in the modpack description. all in all a lot of work.
the perdito node was a really lucky find, but i guess you could get the same effect by feeding cobble into a hungry node. its not like the extra terra is gonna hurt the system.

well i want only the water breating so that would be the first if i manage to get it tomorow
does the instability for the vat works the same as the altar
if yes then i need to move the vat in my other room because the crystals i use for instability reduction are symetrical for the altar but not for the vat

Indeed, it uses the same stability as the Infusion altar. You have to move it far away to prevent interference, and it has to have its own stabilization items.
Steve merged with Alex of course.
Not sure how useful this would be. It would probably be hell to program too.

Shift+Right Click on a tamed Nightmare = server crash.
