A dream realm that you go to instead of skipping the night. It could have good creatures that give you buffs when you wake up, and bad creatures that kill you in the dream world, causing you to wake up with a paranoia debuff.
A lava Kraken in the Nether that hides in a pocket dimension at the bottom of a lava whirlpool.
A blood moon event that spawns the nightmare creatures from earlier in the real world. It could also do other things like turn the ocean red, summon floating castles (also from the nightmare realm), and even turn villagers into werewolves and vampires. It could also warp time to slow down the night, turning 7 minutes into 35.
I hope you at least consider these ideas. Also, if you use any of them, can you tell people where that they came from me (sorry if it looks like i'm being rude).

Yes it is indeed the Phoben. It's more of a fan art of the Phoben rather than an actual suggestion. You can't deny it, you too would think that the Phoben raising towering trees from the ground in a machinima would be pretty damn awesome. But we both agree that the Phoben raising trees in an actual mod isn't fun at all. The whole reason behind this fanart was that when I read it's description something linked me to the Auditor from Madness Combat, and especially his "dance scene" at 1:23 in this video
Well, I thought that saying "Hey, Bob Mowzie!" would be impolite ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .
I had this idea once. Some kind of enemy, let's call him "the curserer"(whose design I didn't decide yet) that curses any of the enemies you encounter that can wear armor(Zombies, Skeletons, Husks, Strays, Drowned, Pigmen, maybe even Wither Skeletons and Vexes, maybe mobs from other mods). It goes into them through some means and prints his own face on them, two demonic red eyes and a maniacal mouth and darkens their body, essentially reskinning them. He also gives them a full set of diamond armor enchanted with protection and maybe projectile protection. It also gives them either a sword with sharpness, level may be low or high(zombie, pigman, husk, drowned, skeleton, stray, maybe even wither skeleton) a bow, enchanted with power, level could vary, may give them insta damage I arrows and always removes any other type of arrow the enemy may be holding in the offhand(Skeleton, Stray, maybe even Wither Skeleton) and may even give drowned an enchanted trident. He also gives them poison II / III, wither II / III and sets them on fire. Your job is to attack the enemy it cursed as much as you can, regardless of whether or not you deal any significant damage. The "curserer" is supposed to convert how much you damaged the armor into how much you damaged Him or something. Because part of that damage is dealt to the "curserer" who has about 35-45 health. Once the "curserer's" host is worn off by the fire, wither and poison, it moves on to the next host, unaffected by said status effects, but keeping the damage you dealt to him by attacking the armor. If somehow you manage to kill the host yourself before the status effects get it first the "curserer" will die. But that's unlikely. So you are supposed to attack every mob that hosts the "curserer" until he dies. He is most likely to die when cursing a host in which case he will briefly make a surprised face, then the reskinned host dies, bringing the "curserer" down with them. When he isn't cursing enemies, he can't be damaged.
Wither skeletons are immune to both wither and fire. They also give you wither by melee and shoot flaming arrows if given an bow by default(and they don't need flame enchantments to do that). This means that dealing with a cursed wither skeleton would be almost impossible. And when the "curserer" curses everything he sees it wouldn't make sense not to curse wither skeletons if given the chance.
A solution to this could be making the "curserer" only spawn in certain underground structures in the overworld that are similar to those boring old dungeons with a chest, a mob spawner and nothing else, only this time a bit better, and instead of a chest there could be an empty armor stand and guess what happens to it when you beat the "curserer". That way he can be constantly fed by the mob spawner while only cursing wither skeletons if people using creative spawned it near a nether fortress. There should also be a way to keep the unprepared players away from him. I doubt I could beat a zombie with enchanted diamond armor and sword if I had the same equipment as him even on easy mode. Maybe the "curserer" is passive, but has a sort of "My precious" thing with diamond armor, trying to keep the armor he gives his hosts clean and undamaged by fixing it with new diamond armor he gets from the players he sees wearing a set he managed to kill. It's silly but it's better than just minding your business in a cave until you bump into one of his enhanced dungeons and die in 2 seconds I guess.
I don't think that this enemy is worth appearing in THE Mowzie's Mobs mod, after all it's literally just a glorified zombie/skeleton with armor, but a stand-alone indie mod featuring it would be rather fun imo.
It’s not that it wouldn’t be fun, and I can make them temporary to minimize grieving. It’s just not what I have planned for the mob.
Ah, I see. It’s a neat idea, but I like developing a mob’s look and movement. It’s just not something I’d be interested in developing. I’d love to see it in a different mod. What I had in mind was a hostile mob that can channel a shield or buff on nearby hostiles: a support mob that you might want to chase down before going for the main forces.
I noticed a while ago that Naga were rather jittery whilst flying. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, I was wondering if it was fixed in the latest patch or is planned to be fixed. Thanks!
It’s an unfortunate side effect of Minecraft’s janky engine. It doesn’t track entity velocities very stably. pau101 is looking into smoothing it out, but we can’t make any promises.

The dream world is cool, but would work best as a separate mod with a full development team. I won’t be adding it, sorry.
Lava krakens were suggested a long time ago, and stand as the only nether mob I plan to implement. I just realized it’s missing from the plans list...
Again, a cool idea, but way too involved for Mowzie’s Mobs.
A blood moon event could be interesting but I don't think Mowzie will make any mob turn to a werewolf or vampire. The red water seems cool. Maybe the event could last for a limited time and only happen once in a long time. And during this time a structure can appear, like that castle you mentioned, holding a boss or a treasure. Maybe there can be a prophecy that the player can discover, which shows him when the blood moon is etc. This idea is really cool. Nice thinking dude
A structure that appears under certain conditions would be awesome. But there would be a lot of technical challenges that would come from this.

I understand. Also, I have a suggestion. Make a version of the mod for Hytale, then all the stuff I just mentioned might be possible. I plan on making my own mod and adding all this stuff and more, so maybe we could bounce ideas off of each other.

I really don't think he's willing to make the same stuff for a different game.

The problem isn't that this stuff isn't possible in Minecraft, it's that I don't feel that it's right for Mowzie's Mobs. Sorry.
We really don't know what Hytale modding will allow yet, or if the gameplay will be conducive to the content Mowzie's Mobs already adds. We also don't know if it will be any good at all yet.

It took me years to arrive at the Mowzie's Mobs we have now. I'd have to build it from scratch for Hytale.
Besides, the content I've created is tailored to fit in Minecraft. It might not feel right for Hytale.
Bob, i fully understand your current predicament with this question
but you realize hytale is built around high-definition, higher-block-count mob renders and models, right?
i just hope hytale is as good as the hype for it, as a beta tester. it'd be a shame to have to come and say it sucked.
Sporelings are little mushroom creatures that spawn in places where other mushroom plant's would spawn. They are the size of a rabbit.
They have 5 hearts of health. There are 2 types of Sporelings. Red Head and Brown Head. Sporelings are parasites in nature. They will attach themselves to other plants such as flowers, ferns, farming plants. They will stay there for a while until the other plant is dead (destroyed). They reproduce by spore blasting other alive creatures such as chickens, pigs, cows and sheep. The red sporeling is agressive and will spore blast every mob they see, including the player. Brown sporelings only use spore blast when something gets close to them. Mobs that are infected with spores will grow mushrooms and moss on their body. They will take damage slowly until the mob dies, which will spawn 1-3 baby sporelings. They grow fast and turn to a grown sporeling. The red sporelings are more rare than brown ones. They have 1/5 chances to spawn instead of a brown sporeling. Both of this sporelings have a unique useability.
I thought of taming the brown ones by letting them attach to plants you place but I don't know how the player can figure that out by themselves, so I think they should be pacified by the Dryad's flute. Than you can right click them and they will attach to your body entering a symbiotic relationship with the player. While they are on the player's body they will consume 25% of the player's hunger bar. That means that you run out of hunger bars 25% faster than normal.
You can only have 3 sporelings attached to you at a time. An attached sporeling appears as an item on the player's inventory. They can right click with it and that will realease a spore blast, infecting anything they come in contact. Red Sporelings can not enter a symbiotic relationship with the player, but when they spore blast a cow, instead of dying they turn into a mooshroom. What happens when a player gets infected. Mushrooms will grow on their body and they will be tired faster, when they eat food, they will only get half hunger bar and they will not have the ability to regenerate health.

Started as a good idea, sorta died as it got closer to the end with the taming and stuff
even with the cropped name, that's not your art. give credits to the art you utilize if it's not yours. (The specific art in question is by Joshua Culp)
and i highly doubt you're actually joshua culp. if you are, then i'm just dumb.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize the name was cropped. Yes the art isn't mine. Also i kinda agree with you that the taming part wasn't necessary and it wasn't part of my initial mob design but I wasn't sure if the mob was good just being a parasite. Again sorry for the cropped image name. Wasn't intentional

I'm fully aware of Hytale's artistic choices. I don't see how that affects my situation with Mowzie's Mobs and Hytale.
I hope so too! It looks fun.

Sorry, I'm not so keen on the mob. The main issue I have with it is that I don't see the role it fills in gameplay. It just moves through the world killing all mobs and spawning more sporelings. It interacts with the player only by shooting projectiles at him or her. Only when the player gets the dryad flute does it gain any further behavior, but this is a rare item. Even then, as a symbiote, it just lets the player shoot projectiles that kill more mobs and make even more sporelings - all at a hefty cost to the player. In its current state, it just doesn't seem like much fun.
I also don't see why the brown and red variations need to behave differently. Establishing a single behavior pattern for the sporelings seems like a stronger design choice to me; the variation doesn't add to the idea.

Not when Hytale's mobs suicidally walk off cliffs.
Also, Mowzie's models, while still high-poly, are at least blocky enough to not be cursed.
A giant crab that walks on the sea floor of coral reefs. It holds a big chunk of gold on his back. It has 20 hearts of damage. The player can use a pickaxe to mine the gold on his back. Each hit with an iron or better pick on the gold chunk grants you 1-3 gold ingots. Each time you mine the gold, it will remove a chunk of gold from the crab's back ( Max 10). So when you mine the whole thing the lowest amount of gold you'll get is 10 gold ingots and the highest is 30 gold ingots. But it won't be easy as the Koralle Brutalis will try to stop you from mining it's golden treasure. He will grab sand from the sea floor and shoot it towards you, dealing 2 hearts of damage and knocking you back. He can also pinch you with his pincers if you get too close, he can even grab you and shove you into the sand floor. If you kill a Koralle Brutalis they will drop crab meat which you can eat. These crabs are rare and come in diffrent colours Red, Blue, Brown and Green.

Mowzie's Mobs is a mod with high definition, high model block count, good AI mobs.
Regardless, I’d have to recreate everything from scratch if I made Mowzie’s Mobs for Hytale.

There are a couple of issues here. First, breaking blocks attached to mobs is not possible in Minecraft’s engine. Second, the idea is very similar to the grottol in that they are both crabs fused with valuable resources. Sorry, but I’m going to have to turn this down.

we haven't seen them walk off of cliffs. at all. we don't even have access to the game yet.
also, yes it'd be a lot of effort but it'd work well with hytale in general. all respect for bob if they don't want to, but it would work well if given a fresh coat of paint.

Actually we do. In the trailer you see a goblin fall into a hole. Also, hytale seems to have a lot of mobs and bosses by itself. Don't you think adding Mowzie's mobs would be kinda pointless?

(The specific art in question is by Joshua Culp)
and i highly doubt you're actually joshua culp. if you are, then i'm just dumb.haha unoriginal signature go brr
'Aight, good to know you didn't intend it. the base idea itself is good tho.

Thanks for correcting that art attribution!
Hytale is a game with high definition. high model block count, good AI mobs.
Mowzie's Mobs is a mod with high definition, high model block count, good AI mobs.

"Hytale is a game with high definition. high model block count, good AI mobs."
Not when Hytale's mobs suicidally walk off cliffs.
Also, Mowzie's models, while still high-poly, are at least blocky enough to not be cursed.
Koralle Brutalis
I like how amazingly similar the ferrous wroughnaut and foliaath are to the iron knuckle and deku baba from Legend of zelda ocarina of time
I made a video showcasing all secrets in the mod!

Is that a thing? I didn’t realize people had access to the game already.
They both represent very common videogame tropes. But yeah, Zelda was my primary inspiration.
we haven't seen them walk off of cliffs. at all. we don't even have access to the game yet.
also, yes it'd be a lot of effort but it'd work well with hytale in general. all respect for bob if they don't want to, but it would work well if given a fresh coat of paint.

Actually we do. In the trailer you see a goblin fall into a hole. Also, hytale seems to have a lot of mobs and bosses by itself. Don't you think adding Mowzie's mobs would be kinda pointless?
