It's a very easy port. Might as well for those who want it.
I've skimmed over this topic for a bit and couldn't find the answer to my question. I'm currently using LLibrary 0.3.3, and running MC 1.7.10. All is well until the Wroughtnaught Chamber generates (which I'm sure you are already aware of) and causes the server to crash.

I don't know if this helps you at all, but it's clearly that event which causes the problem. I saw you don't really plan to update this mod for 1.7.10 anymore, and was wondering if this crash is on your mod's end, or if it's reliant upon an update to LLibrary to resolve this crash? If it's on your end, would you consider trying to resolve this bug before ditching 1.7.10?
My apologies if you've already answered this, but I was not able to find the answer.
EDIT: Additionally, the chamber still generates and we can just wait for the server to reboot and continue playing, but I'd rather not have everyone get booted every time a new chamber generates.
I was thinking about a lightning monster, not sure about a lizard though.
With the theme of your mod I think you should go for both a lizard mob and a lightning mob. Have the lizard mob some kind of mount that you can tame and the lightning mob being a tiki themed raijin, you know the shinto god? Look it's even got a drum wheel on it's back!
Hey Mowzie, Have you ever thought of making a Block that sprouts out arms when the player comes close to it and cause harm to players, and it blends into the wall.
I was also thinking if you could make a shut down robot that can be found in areas with lots of trees, or in abandon mine shafts that you could reanimate when given red stone or some other item. Maybe even upon awaking it it would freak out after seeing the world change from what it once knew, smacking mobs out of its path and break through walls (and climb to the surface if in a mine shaft) and the player could attempt to calm it down somehow?

Crash on start up with the new version. Using Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10
Porting is easy because LLibrary unifies all its features. There's going to be a 1.8.9 and 1.9.4 port. =)
Update (to) Java 8
Not required at all! LLibrary takes care of it.
Yes, update away!
It's a very easy port. Might as well for those who want it.
Great, just didn't see plans for 1.9, but good to hear it will be moving that way.
Just got the same crash here, and I'm updated to Java 8. :/
What update? (1.8.0_xx)
Fixed in the next version (also for 1.7.10) =)
Oh Yeah!
I have the same issue I think, I am running 1.8.0_91:
Windows x64 54.99 MB jre-8u91-windows-x64.exe
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html
UPDATE:
Installed Java 1.8.0_92 Windows x64 59.16 MB jre-8u92-windows-x64.exe:
Also, new version appears to make a folder at my servers root with this inside: net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.class
Sup with that?
The very latest as of last night, and it looks to be the same as MrB: 1.8.0_91-b14
Tried updating from Java 8 .77 to .91 still the same.
So, even I can't get it working out side of my dev environment. Is anyone able to run the mod?
I Think its the same for everyone.
Really sorry, everyone. We'll get to the root of this soon.

The 'Armed Block' idea sounds very similar to the Foliaath.
A disguised creature that only shows what it really is when a player gets close to it.
^Concept for both mobs.
I was trying to fit Heimskr's speech into this place, but it wouldn't fit.
