You should add some eusocial mob with members of 50 or more with a caste system and the ability to domesticate/cultivate by catching a queen/drone (two important castes of eusociality).
I just inject it into the mod itself with winrar (or a program that can open .jar files), although any other method other than that usually elude, but I think this would work? https://www.dropbox.com/s/yd2tj8fa3jj2fu7/Ferrous_Wroughtnaut.zip?dl=0 just unzip this file and drag the assets folder into your resourcepack if you have one, as of right now I would pair painterly with this skin, but whatever resource pack you prefer will work

You know, someone should just make a mod that includes everything from Zelda: Twilight Princess. All the mobs in it are cool and would fit well in Minecraft. Not to mention it's one of the best games of all time.
I kinda feel like that mod is not as good as it could be.The mobs are mostly from the older games, and the dungeons are boring. There are also very few boss mobs, and most of the mobs are the more boring ones from the series.
1: Birdemic? EDIT: Just looked it up. Looks terrible xD But the movie just involved eagles attacking. I'm talking 3 by 3 block sized poison spitting birds. Basically Qurupeco from monster hunter but smaller.
2: Mowzie could make it unpushable in passive mode.
1: OK, I see. Just can't not think that whenever I see a modern-looking bird that can spit harmful acid/bile.

Ya, I agree. I don't think the gorons even roll up into a ball and the textures for the mobs are ok I suppose but not really that great. I wonder if anyone would be interested in making a proper twilight princess mod with nice textures, interesting mobs, and have the mobs stay true to the ones in the game. Hey mowzie...
a small little beastie that spawns in mushroom islands in large quantities. they are peaceful at first, but they all turn hostile when you attack one. They look like little hermit crabs with mushrooms as shells, with little legs and black eyes poking out. When they're angry, a razor-rimmed mouth appears and 4 long(ish) arms tipped wit a single knife like claw, which inflicts nausea. they are slow when happy, and lightning quick when not. they drop mushrooms (the kind that they're wearing), and a Mincer heart, which if eaten inflicts wither 3, or if made into a potion does something your brilliant mind can concoct mr mowzie.
It's a neat idea, but I can't imagine people getting so excited about this. Sorry.
I think you should nerf the axe that drops from ferrous wroughtnaut. It shouldn't have unlimited durability since you can find more dungeons that contain the monster. Same goes for the helmet too (and maybe it should give slightly more armor bonus.).
I'm not sure. I think the fight is pretty difficult, and I want to give players a reason to use their reward without making the axe really strong.

Believe me, I would if I had the time. I'd rather focus on work based around my own imagination, though.
Hey Mowzie, looking at that battle ax modeling, it looks like you have two areas where three boxes overlap. How did you get it so the textures wouldn't flicker from fighting each other?
This mob would be a large bird with a sac on its throat. It would fly around and spit
bile at you that would give you poison/blindness. I really want a flying mob so this'd
be great!
Pumpkin Fiend (Temporary name)
This would look like a pumpkin from afar but when approached or hit, i would sprout
vine-like appendages that it uses to walk around with like a spider. This could catch
players off guard. I know, the Foliaath can do that too, but after seeing ten or so
Foliaaths, players will recognize them when they see them. This would be indistinguishable
from normal pumpkins in its dormant state.
Lycanites mobs has a mob called a roc that pics up and carries things into the air. It has other flying mobs that shoot projectiles and he has a massive variety of mobs mostly melee and ranged mobs with potion effects, some flying mobs. It doesn't have animated and scripted mobs like mowzies but adds new regularly and are interesting looking. I will warn you to adjust the spawning rates though because rocs can get annoying.
SPRIGGANS DUDE SPRIGGANS NOT ENTS, SPRIGGANS !!!!!!
I agree ents have been and while i have no doubt mowzie would make an epic animated one there already is the wroughtnought for a smashing giant. Also there are not ranged mobs yet and spriggans in skyrim are casters

Expect a "Lycanite's Mobs is not cool enough" response.

Mobs stats are configurable so if you want cool just give a lobber a machine gun rate of fire and you have essentially a super destructive lava cannon. Your right though the mobs are good but not special, however I understand that the mod maker plans on going back through them and adding unique variants. Umba lobber is pretty cool it turns areas to lava and since lava acts like a spawner for some mobs it's a hard battle.

That is actually something I am kinda doing with my older mobs at the moment. Maybe not so much adding new attacks and such for most of them, but putting more emphasis in the model animations. I'm partially following Mowzie's tutorial on using the .addChild() function.
Probably something most all developers ought to do. Go back and add stuff to older things, especially mobs.
I have not looked at Lycanite's mobs recently to know what you are talking about. xD

I like weather.
I got bored and did a random skin of the Ferrous Wroughtnaut:
Jingle bells, decay and fails
The adventurers all died of fright.
Dungeons night, was never right
When the lich came in a sleigh.

That's a stupid idea. They're supposed to fend off intruders, not eat everything that comes in sight.
1: So, it's basically Birdemic in Minecraft. NEXT!!! (BobMowzie has other cooler flying mobs planned as well)
2: Except if another mob goes by and pushes it while it's in its passive state, people will know something's wrong!

Not automatically. I would probably remodel it anyway.

Sorry, but this just doesn't make much sense.
Nope. Patience! I'm going to record the animation process for the part 2 tutorial.
WOAH! Better than mine, lol.
I might want this for a variant much later...
Flying mobs will come!
The pumpkin fiend is pretty cool. I'll tack that onto my ever-growing list.
