I'm sorry about the inactivity. I've become involved in a large project making an add-on/modification for Mevans' Lord of the Rings mod (yes, the developer is OK with it). I haven't truly forgotten this mod.
When I have time (which hopefully will be sooner rather than later), I will return to this mod and at least make sure the download's available for 1.7.10, if not start porting it to 1.12.
The download links are back up!
Finally, during my absence, MCForum has decided to force-convert all my image links to HTTPS. My web server does not support HTTPS at this time. Does anyone know how to make it stop this so my screenshots can show up?

Hi Valiec!
Can you please fix the issue with mineshafts generating in almost every Deeper Caves dimension? I looked into source code, and I know that relevant "provider" has EnableMineshaftGeneration=false, but mineshafts are still a thing! For example, they generate in Darkness, floating in mid-air.
I also wanted to suggest another thing - ability to turn off dimensions, so you skip some while traveling, and ability to squeeze in other dimensions from other mods or vanilla game. Like Erebus dimension, or that you travel to Nether from Near Nether. And please, add a way to disable ore generation by your mod in your dimensions, so it is easier to make custom ore gen with CoFH World, for example.

Hi Overjay!
That mineshaft thing's just weird. Maybe the superclass's decorator (which is probably called somewhere) is ignoring the setting and looking at its own base worldprovider?
Enabling/disabling levels and configuring the order? Sounds a little complex, but doable. I'll try to add it.
And I can make my ores configurable, and will, but the vanilla oregen that just won't go away are another matter. It's kind of like those mineshafts.

Ok, so there is a new bug I found. Upon loading the world, there are 20 seconds (exactly 20 seconds) lag in world loading. TPS goes down to zero for 20 seconds, the world has loaded chunks in 1 chunk radius around the player and that's all, you can't do anything. After 20 seconds of this freeze, chat produces a message "Failed to get the latest version from the server. Check your internet connection.". I managed to track it down to Deeper Caves.
By deleting mods one by one and running the game and starting a map over and over again.
Can you fix at least this? Because if there are hostile mobs around the player during this lagging event - player dies, because game compansates lag with time travel of some sort - events happen quickier than they should.
I always wanted to dig deeper into uncharted and dangerous places, and the mod is very interesting.
But I would like to get rid of the obvious teleportation. For example, at the top and bottom create a layer of a special dark stone, where the viewing range will be no more than 5 blocks (Void fog). And when approaching the lower boundary at 5, the player is transferred to the upper part of the new layer, together with the surrounding blocks in radius of visibility (the width can be made larger) and will not see dramatic changes. There will be a semblance of a seamless world.
Of course, the solution is not perfect, but relatively simple to implement. If you do not write dynamically all changes to another layer, but only at the moment of transition.
There are two problems with that suggestion. One, it wouldn't help very much in terms of making the transition better, because minecraft will still bring up the dirt loading screen, since you're changing dimensions. Two, marking your path down through the layers so you can come the same way later would be very difficult if there was intense void fog around the upper and lower boundaries. This is especially problematic at layers with large drops, players can easily just fall off without being able to see, since you can often spawn on the very edge of a cliff.
I agree that a more seamless transition would be great, but since the mod requires teleportation to different dimensions, there's not much that can be done. Unless cubic chunks one day become implemented.
Cubic Chunks or MineUp certainly would have done better. As soon as there will be a stable working version, with an infinite height of the world, with underground biomes, and supporting at least the most popular mods. I hope not have to wait another ten years.
For now we play deep caves. The loading screen is unpleasant, but it is common in many games.
Another thing is when you are teleported to a completely different situation, and not even from above. And you cannot return the same way. This is not at all like digging down.
The danger of falling down and the complexity of the descent is an integral part of minecraft. I do not consider this a disadvantage. In some layers, you can add columns between the floor and the ceiling, to facilitate the descent. Whoever wants may use additional mods.
Normal fog void will not act at a distance when you move further, hiding the floor and ceiling. Pity, it would be interesting.

It'll be visible when it finishes moderator review.
I did this because I realized you might be trying to add it to a Twitch pack, and it can be annoying to add non-Curseforge mods to Twitch packs.
And by the way, I've loosened my modpack rules. I don't really require anything anymore, I really prefer modpack makers credit me, but it's not as strict as what is in the OP anymore.
Edit: I haven't fixed this on the GitHub, but I made it open-source (MIT License), since I'm no longer as picky about the One True Version. The GitHub is missing a license, but that's because I haven't updated it yet. When I do, I will be adding the license file.

I'd use this, but I've started playing 1.12 now. I want to see this mod some time ):

Download link does not work.
Should be fixed. If it's not, please reply.
Edit: I'll be moving this and EndPlus to CurseForge soon, I'm getting tired of having the links go down.

It still doesn't appear to be fixed, that is, if the link you're talking about is "http://kpabr.com/mcmods/deepercaves"
If not, then I'm just blind, ignore me
I think your best bet really is curseforge though.
Just a piece of trash passing through, do de do...
I have two questions Valiec:
1. how do you not die in the void level?
2. can you please update this to 1.12.2!
website is down again. Could you either use mediafire.com or use curseforge both are free and simple to setup and use
The web server issue is known and I'm working on fixing it. Something's running too slowly (which explains the 504s).

OK, it's on CurseForge at https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/deepercaves
