This is the official thread for discussion and development of the DRAGON shaderpack, written by yours truly.
What is it?
DRAGON is a collection of shaders for the Shaders Mod which brings Physically-Based Shading to Minecraft. This means that metals have specular highlights of the proper color and that everything is somewhat reflective. Additionally, DRAGON has variable-softness shadows, just like real life, along with fancy water waves imported from chocapic13's shaderpack. All this means that, if you use the DRAGON shaderpack, Minecraft will look very pretty.
How can I get it?
There are five different versions of DRAGON, aimed at graphics cards of different power. You can find the most recent downloads at http://www.jotunstudios.com/dragon/downloads.php, along with a brief description of each. However, I'm going to post a few words of warning here.
All promotional images, including the screenshots you'll see later on, are taken with the "high" version. This is the version I expect people to be able to run. If you have a rather powerful computer with, say, a GTX 680 or better graphics card, you can probably handle Ultra. I have no idea how powerful a computer is needed to handle Extreme. Run at your own risk.
If you have a graphics card other than the Nvidia GTX 660, please post your graphics card and framerate in this thread. I'd love to have more data on how well my shaders run on different pieces of hardware.
Update: This shaderpack is completely and totally broken on Maxwell video cards (Nvidia 900 series). I'm not sure why and all of my efforts to find out why have failed. If you have a nice new video card, sorry.

The moment we've all been waiting for. What does this DRAGON thing look like?
So, that's DRAGON. Download it, use it, enjoy it. Feel free to post about any issues or questions in this thread and I'll try to get back to you.
