Some blocks render wrong in the inventory and chisel menu for me. They look fine once placed, though. They usually show the marble pillar texture, but once placed, the affected blocks (again, only in inventory and menu) take on the texture of the block I just placed
edit: began to occuring since I upgraded to 2.4.1 from 2.3.10

Are you using Optifine? I know I had this trouble when testing to see if the mod would work for me (note: it didn't) and placing a couple of the different Voidstone blocks. Most of them didn't work.
If this is the case, it's better to bring it up to the Optifine guys as it is usually on their end.
If it's not a case of Optifine, then hope this gets fixed (haven't had time to try out ice... been working on a museum piece).
I recently tried out the latest version of Chisel 2(2.4.1) with Forge version 10.13.4.1492, and got a crash when starting up Minecraft.

I don't have any other mods installed, so do tell me if this has something to do with the way I installed it or something. Sorry if it turns out that this is just an easy problem.
Looks like it was just a simple problem after all. Unfortunately, I can't use any Forge version above 1388, as I'm currently going through a bug which causes me to get stuck on the Mojang screen(I believe it has something to do with the new Forge loading screen). Anyways, thanks for your help.

Hey, so I found something strange.... I'm using Chisel 2 (2.4.1.40) for 1.7.10, and whenever I place doors by blocks, this seems to happen...the blocks become invisible and for some odd reason, allow me to see through blocks around it.. this seems to only happen to Chisel 2 blocks that have connected textures when placed next to more of it's type (like the Blue Neon Plating blocks for example)
Is chisel2 not compatible w/ optifine.... because some of the blocks are missing textures. then if i remove optifine, chisel2 works fine.
Some blocks render wrong in the inventory and chisel menu for me. They look fine once placed, though. They usually show the marble pillar texture, but once placed, the affected blocks (again, only in inventory and menu) take on the texture of the block I just placed

I'm having this problem, too. Installing a bunch of mods and Chisel 2 crashes the game after the game starts, but without it works fine.
I have Forge 10.13.4.1448 for 1.7.10 and this problem occurs.
update your java
Update to what, Java 8?

I'm at Java 8 Update 51 (1.8.0_51-b16).
I am running the newest build of chisel with forge .1448 and java 7 just fine.
I wish I could do that. Forge 1448 causes wierd issues with the main menu for me. http://gyazo.com/811c975c56047149154bf252dbee8247

I noticed that in the version in FTB Infinity (I believe it's the latest version) there are only two colors for Beacons: normal and black beam.

Hi, just wondering how the 1.8 update is coming along? Any eta's? Do you need help with anything like creating all the jsons for blocks?
Wait for 1.9
