I figured this would be the case. Seriously, people made too big a deal over silly things like this. If you were adding a processing setup for Chiseled blocks a la Mekanism 5x ore processing, I'd probably balk. A diamond chisel? Cricket please.
I know you're planning to add a config option to disable particles, but can you add one to specifically disable only the particles on your custom torches? My light bulbs should not be giving off smoke.
Also, a lot of the new blocks you've added are all mixed together in my creative tabs. The original Chisel stuff has neat lines of all the gravel, all the holystone, etc. grouped together. But your stuff has pumpkins mixed up with torches mixed up with voidstone, etc.

@beckyh2112 I'm going to disable smoke particles on the lightbulb full stop. The reason some of the stuff is mixed up is some of the blocks, such as pumpkins and torches, need to each be a seperate block rather than one block with different metadata, as the metadata is also used for the facing of the pumpkin/position of the torch. The creative tab sorts by block ID, and sometimes the block ids assigned to all the torches say, are not concurrent, leading to this. It could probably be fixed in a hacky way, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
@gendalv I'm not quite sure I understand you...can you be more specific?

I tweeted a warning about this and made it very clear to some of the major packs that I know that have presents. They do not work. only use them for decoration we are working on this.
I have a suggestion for a block: Layered, like snow layers but would have grass,sand,gravel,leaves and whatever else should have layers. That way you could have a desert like this
I have to say I LOVE chisel. But just a couple of things. Maybe a few more smooth blocks. I tend to like blocks that have connected textures and when put together look great! Like the large cobblestone and the rusty factory block (i think). I also think it would be cool to try to add a chroma key block that is a plain solid color that allows someone to key out your background with something else. It would purely be for looks but it would look pretty cool as a window with a AWESOME view or a talkshow. Just my opinion. Also maybe modded blocks? (Just 1 alternate texture?)
Is it possible to update from the 1.5.7 version of Chisel to Chisel 2 without a world restart? Thanks!
You would have to restart the server/world. Forge doesn't hotswap mods as far as I know, and I don't think their's a mod to enable "hot swapping" either.
I love this mod. But I have one question: why you can't make Chisel compatible to some environment and building mods like Biomes O' Plenty (Natura, Forestry, etc.) and Forge Microblocks?

- Second of. i really like the void stone, would it be possible to add a block that uses the textures that is inside enderchests? (moving particles like the lava block for example?) for a recipe i would recommend ender eye and 8 obsidian perhaps?
I have been removed from the Chisel2 dev team, thereby negating any features I promised to add. Additionally, Cricket has removed the torch and warning sign blocks from the mod, which will take effect next version (scorching and bone too, but they arn't really an issue)
However, I will talk to Cricket as soon as possible, and hopefully sort this mess out. I will keep you updated.

in fact NEI doesn't show any way to turn bricks back to stone :/
