Don't shift the hype machine into overdrive because of this, but you guys may be interested in knowing that I'm going to begin to port Vehicular Movement to a newer version of Minecraft. Most of the models will remain the same but I may redesign them if i cannot find the original model file.
Edit: Unless anyone can figure out how to convert the old models to the new json format I will be redesigning them.
Edit 2: I might be able to use the old models after all. We will have to wait and see....
Edit 3: The sheer stupidity of some of the changes between 1.8 and 1.9 forge enrages me. They made it 3x as difficult to register an item! AN ITEM!!!!!! WHY????????
Edit 4: Woo! It compiles and it doesn't crash so far!

Ummm, lemme look at my mod in a tick, because I think you keep the models at the same for java, and use the blockstates, textures and icons in .json!
Ok, took a look.
I have 3 folders. Vertually, same as Minecraft in texture packs, blockstates, models and items!
In the blockstates folder, which would be ~/assets/yourmod/blockstates, I have a placeholder.json, and well, I have this inside it
And then for item, it is the icon for each model. vertually where you would place your icon for a model goes in this .json, for example, my Eternal car, it would be
That is what I got for my .jsons, but the actual models still remain in .java!
Anyways, I also started working on a new mod, which adds random stuff, and well, you are correct, the lights can't go any brighter in your mod since they're at max brightness.
Because I tried, and well, this is as bright as they go!
Its time for a new update for Monoblocks! This update is relatively small, as it only adds in a few highway signs (14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23). Grab it while it is still fresh!
There is now a new update for Monoblocks! This update adds in traffic lights with a normal green light, but with a left arrow on the bottom. They come in black and yellow flavors to please everyone. Get it now or later!
Korean users rejoice! There is now a korean translation of Monoblocks. Also, I did not post about the previous updates to the mod but I added in road barriers. Get the new version while it is not cold!
There is a new major version of Monoblocks! I highly encourage everyone to checkout the changelog as it does contain some important information regarding the placement of items in creative tabs. Look at it (and download it) here: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/monoblocks/files/2436751
