I agree. The version of RealTrainMod I am using is 1.7.10.24 and well, I don't really update my mods every so often unless it has something good that will make me wanna update it!
Oh, which reminds me, are you going to add signs that can actually connect to any post or fence? Only asking because well, yeah.
Well, at the moment I'm not going to be creating signs for every fence, however, I'm considering creating an item frame like block which would enable signs to be placed on walls, since every one of the signs (aside from the custom text ones) would allow this to happen due to the way their item texture is presented.
Not only cars, but also airplanes and ships. There's extension packs on Twitter (#RealTrainMod).
I have no extension pack so I can only tell you the original types: 2 tanks and a car in vehicle, 1 fighter plane and 1 passenger plane.

Anyways, I am going to post this now:
goldensilver, there is 2 reasons why I asked about lights with longer arms, and signs that can connect to any type of fence or even blocks, and I am not too worried about the ones that you can right on.
Here in Australia, we have street signs too, and they can be on either there own post, or nailed/tied to either a powerpole or the side of the building. And well, just gives the mod that extra "realism" if I can put it that way, feel.
As for lights with longer arm post, well, it is all simple actually, sometimes, roads go by a bigger width, and you really don't want to be putting street lights right in the center of the actual road, if you get my drift!

I agree with you. Here in BC a very large amount of our signs are on the steel poles, however there is still a very large amount of signs on wood posts or even power poles. We've also got signs on street lights, too.
I also agree with you on the street light issue. All of the street lights (at least the ones on poles) are fairly long. The current street lights are essentially useless for 4 lane roads.
With all that said though, with the version I have just completed, it won't have these features in it, sadly. So I guess we will have to wait. I might start working on removing the poles from a few signs (a fairly simple task, fortunately.)
Now, on the topic of new mod releases, there's a new version of Monoblocks out now! This version adds in colored quartz and 2 new power poles. Not much. but it's better than nothing! Grab it now while its still hot!
Also, for some signs, what about school zone signs and keep right signs?
Definitely going to be adding in the first one. I might add in the school zone sign, too. For some reason we have neon green ones and sometimes even blue ones around here. I don't think they make the blue ones anymore, though.

Finally, the transportation board is good for something lol. on topic, yes I haven't seen those blue ones in so long, I think they started out as the blue ones, then migrated to the normal yellow ones, then after 2000 everything went to the "must be blindingly bright to see" neon yellow.
also, perhaps there might be a way to add something like a wrench or hammer to extend the height or length of a street lamp, and was there going to eventually be a way to turn them on and off via redstone or some other form of power?

you have simple school zones with short times, ours last from 8am to 5pm, and I saw a school zone I drive past actually take down the flashing ambers for the new bright neon yellow/green signs.

And now we have the district of Hope doing this:
As for the street lights, the wrench thing will likely not happen as it would just be a bit easier (for me at least) to have separate street lights. Redstone is a pretty real possibility.
I never knew them to be green or blue
But here in Australia, our government wants all states to add flashing lights to our school zones
Why exactly do they think that'll help? That sign is easily 4 times bigger than what we have here in BC, so how much better could a couple of flashy LED lights be safety wise?
Hurrah! New update to Monoblocks! This update adds in a wad of traffic signs some of which include signs without posts attached! Grab it when the widget updates!

Ok, we got a complete different road system to every country around the world, and with our own road rules. But when you look at it, Australia:
A multicutural nation, with new citizens from around the world everyday
Signs that are not easy to understand to most
a number in a red circle is in km/h, and some still confuse it as mph!

I was looking at the signs and I wanted to let you know that here in surrey we have highways 7, 7a, 13, 15, and 17. not sure about others though.
I love your mods. They're very cool with road mods to build a city, or just go around with a car from Vehicular Movement :P. Do you plan updating to 1.8 or 1.9? (I don't want to hasten you, it should rather be quality. :D)
Also, a Hungarian translation by me is in progress.
Thank you very much for the translation! It means alot to me and likely all Hungarian users of the mod. Unfortunately, there is no 1.8/1.9 update planned.

While normally, you would expect an update to Monoblocks here, today will be different. Instead, I'm here to roll out a new mod known as Supertramp (has nothing to do with fantastic music)! It is a small trampoline mod that can drain many minutes of your time. It's easy to craft the trampolines, and the payoff for crafting them is huge. Head to the front to grab it while it is fresh!
So the other day, I got a laptop capable of playing some lite shaders at a playable framerate. However, this happens:
I'm fairly certain what the cause of this issue is, so if I'm right, expect some dimmer traffic lights in the next update.
Edit: Or I can just use different shaders, like I am now.
Yeah, it happens like that with shaders. It appears with a lot of shaders that the traffic lights are brighter than the street lamps (not the single ones that connect to the post, that is even dimmer)

Yeah, it's really annoying. I've been considering editing the shaders so that they don't horse around with the tile entity lighting, however I frankly don't feel like learning how to edit shaders (looks easy though). With that said, as soon as I can get my workspaces running on an SD card, I plan to try and make the street lights function in the nightime only. I guess this is what only $90 will get you in the shaders world. Oh well, I guess I'm happy I can at least run shaders now. Quite surprising in my opinion from a GT 525M.

Should sink down to my level for a city project

And plus, I am glad RealTrainMod is going towards new ideas, and it is worth for me to update!
I am in your dreams, haunting you!
Can I have that 85%?
I didn't that and all is fine, maybe it happening only with updating to build 29? (now i have 27)
