Hi, maybe it's something that was already solved, I'm stuck on 1.8.9 due to crayfish furniture and the little things.
How would I go about getting the little things to use the mineralogy stone types?, At the moment all the nice things like diorite walls etc can't be crafted...
Thanks
I'm still in the process of getting everything organised, things that don't work, can't currently being crafted or are just plain missing will be dealt with in the next release.
Dr.Cyano! Hey, sorry for pestering you too much but I just want to get these suggestions off my chest since I'm a huge fan of your mods. Anyway, you have a metals mod, but you don't have a gems mod, this would be extremely awesome and would be great for combining it with mineralogy and base metals... Also, I do think it would be amazing if you put together a modpack with all of your mods and put it up for download...since they all fit together quite nicely.
In bad news, Cyano has retired....
In good news, I've taken up development!
I am actually working on "Base Gems" so that'll be happening, just gonna take a little time for it to be released.

oh i see. I didn't know he has retired. .. but i am gladly that you are continuing this mod, but be sure to have his permission to do so... and i also hope that you would also create a high resolution for the mod as well. i liked his low, middle, high resolution.. so i preferred high resolution along with resource pack i am current using.. not vanilla minecraft. hmm i am looking forward to your works in future.

Considering he gave me the projects on CF, I'm pretty sure I have absolute permission. xD
If you look at the extras for mineralogy, there's 32-128x texture packs already available for it.

>:) I am already using 128x for mineralogy! so I will keep an eye on this mod and its future progress. Well i am just looking forward to it. THATS ALL!
I would like to use this mod in 1.10.2, but I understand you have things to do, so would it be fine if I ported this mod to 1.10.2? I want to make an unofficial port to 1.10.2 on Curse so that I and other people can use it in mod packs, and I'll link back to the original as well.
If you don't want other people posting your mod, I understand. But if you are fine with it I can post a 1.10.2 version on curse so people can use it until you either get around to making an official update or drop the mod or whatever you plan to do with it.
I'm just going to drop a note here that the 1.10.2 release can be found on the Curseforge page. The OP has download links only for MC versions up to 1.9.0, and the 1.9.0 download link actually pointa to the 1.8.9 download.
Is there a 1.10.2-compatible version anywhere of the Mineralogy hi-res resource packs? My 1.10.2 Minecraft client declares the 1.9.4 Mineralogy resource packs incompatible and refuses to use them.

Now that some other mods are released, I want to finish building my modpack. Can I use your mod and replace some of the textures with the vanilla ones?
So, the brick textures in this mod are, to be frank, not well done. I've put together a pack of redone textures for both types of brick and the polished stone that makes them consistant with vanilla Minecraft bricks and blocks. (I can also do the offset brick pattern from the existing brick in a similar manner if that would be preferable.)
I've zipped them up as a resource pack for anyone who wants to use them now; I'm offering them up for use in the mod if you want. If the new maintainer still has the mod on GitHub I can submit it as a pull request.

Those look like a big improvement over the 16x default textures. I use the 64x textures, since I find 64x to mostly be the best compromise between appearance and performance, but I'be observed that the 64x textures too ... uh ... need a bit of work. I just haven't gotten around yet to doing it.
Seems a bit quiet here now, is this mod and it's kindred (base metals etc) still being developed, I'm just wondering because at some point we'll want to take our server to 11.2 and of course this mod is key (it's my absolute favourite must have mod, can't bear minecraft generic stone any more!)
Are Mineralogy's stone slabs ... "transparent" or something? I've been going nuts trying to figure out why I couldn't place a wide door from Roxa's Tall Doors Mod in a doorway, and I eventually figured out that it's because my walls are solid stone blocks but my floors are slabs of Mineralogy stone (shale, specifically). I found that I cannot place any door, vanilla or modded, on a Mineralogy stone slab or such that it would open over a Mineralogy stone slab. Replace the shale slabs with any wooden slab or any vanilla slab, and no problem, doors place just fine.
If Mineralogy slabs are "transparent", this may also account for some of the terrible FPS issues I've been experiencing in my mansion. I just replaced all the shale slabs in my floors with vanilla stone slabs using WorldEdit, and my FPS went up from 5 to 30 from that change alone.

Apparently not. Where might I find a link...?
(I'm using the ones from DrCyano's github linked from the curseforge post.)
Ah! Never mind, just found the Curseforge ones.

Wow, these look nice I think these should be implemented
Like! Will download when I get back to my computer.

Anyone know where gypsum is most likely to spawn? Is it a Nether/End exclusive?
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Don't click this link, HE is haunting it...
Its actually pretty common in the overworld... Specifically extreme hills.
Weird, I'm searching all over the Extreme Hills biome in the 1.7.10 version, and can't find any.

Is there a way to make it so that modded ores don't stand out and blend in with the stone?
If I seem megalomaniacal, chances are I'm just kidding
