The shield camo system is now a LOT more stable. In the previous versions of RFTools you could actually corrupt the world by putting in a wrong thing (item, energy cell, ...). This should no longer be possible. If it can't render it then the shield will simply be invisible.
If you got a corrupt world due to a wrong block in the shield this then there is a way to fix this with this version of RFTools. To get your world back simply set disableShieldBlocksToUncorruptWorld to true in the config. Load your world, remove the offending block from the shield projector. Exit. Then set the flag to false again and you can continue playing and use a better block in your shield.
Shield blocks and the matter transmitter beam blocks should now relay be indestructable. With the shield system it is now possible to make a wither killer as it can cope with the explosion of that mob. However, note that you still have to protect the projector (move it far away from where the wither spawns).
The tooltip of a screen now shows the number of modules.
The shield collision detection system now considers lit tnt, xp orbs and other non-living entities the same as items.
Fixed a problem with the crafting of larger/transparent screens crashing if the original screen wasn't placed in the right (top-left) slot.

Hey, first congratulations, really loving this mod and everything it adds. I saw Vaygrim's Chance review and it's really cool.
The only "Problem" I have, is that I would like to disable all the "Dimension" related items. I look into the config but I didn't saw any clear option to do so. Would it be possible to disable it?

To disable the recipes you would normally use something like mine tweaker. That's the recommended way to do it. If this is not sufficient then I can consider adding an option for this though.

So I went thru in-game books, web-wiki, and not this whole forum to seek the answer to one important question (for me), and hoping for an answer justifying using your mod instead mystcraft...

What happens to the unused dimensions?
I very much prefer unused dimension deletion - if the power is lost, the mod deletes the dimension irrecoverably, you can not recover it, the dimension id gets freed, t cetera (and maybe if you destroy the last matrix for the dimension, it gets annihilated too, no recrafting).
Also it would be much happiness if there would be only one dimension per player, and/or the dimensions could be at a set min/max size.
Consider the above from the viewpoint of a server admin - countless worlds bloating the size of the saves...
First, as far as I know Mystcraft has no solution for unused dimensions (but I may be mistaken). In any case, in RFTools there is an admin command /rftdim safedel <id> that *can* delete a dimension. It has to be used carefully and after using this command you should preferably exit minecraft and delete the dimension files manually.
Deleting a dimension in Minecraft is not really very easy nor stable. So automatically deleting unused dimensions is something that I'm not going to add as it is too dangerous.
Dimensions are not tied to a player, so only one dimension per player is something that I cannot really control. That's a Minecraft limitation and not really anything my mod can handle easily.
Additionally dimensions are *always* infinite in size. You cannot set a limit in size to them (easily). You could put in artificial borders though. I believe some server plugins actually have support for that.

Reusing the dimension id by rftools itself is actually done. If you do /rftdim safedel then the id will be made available for a new RFTools dimension.
A dimension is not an item though.
As to dimension borders I'm not sure exactly. Perhaps other people can tell me what a good solution for this would be?

Sure. Just re-implement the entire worldborder system from 1.8, but fix Mojang's stupidity and let each dimension have its own world borders, instead of assuming that they all have the same size.

Yeah, I'm down for a different take on wireless redstone. WR-CBE is a touch too laggy for me and doesn't seem to want to work with any wires I use. Will your wireless transmitters/receivers require RF to run? If not, could you add a config for that please?

Hmm. I was not actually planning to do that but it might indeed be an option. But perhaps only for the transmitter part or so. I don't want to make it too annoying to use however.
