Is there a running list somewhere of what features have been implemented so far and what have not that will be? For example, the last I heard, bows were not in yet but will be at some point.
i am using 1.9. how am i supposed to mine ardite and cobalt? I am trying to use minimal mods and it sounds like i need aluminum to make tools to mine ardite and cobalt?
or is there some other tool. Also are any mods updated to 1.9 that add aluminum

All you need is an Obsidian toolhead or Obsidian Sharpening Kit. You can mine up to Cobalt with any tool.
I've noticed that cobalt and ardite use your texture pack's nether rack texture for their background. That's pretty sweet, I've always hated how modded ores stood out so oddly with resource packs. I hope more mods will follow suit with that.

Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
Hey boni, I have an issue to report, and I didn't find the issues page. (Not that I looked hard.) Anyway, I have found that I cannot use a longsword and a shield together in the latest (as far as I know) 1.9 version of the mod. Every time I try to block with the shield, it defaults to the Lunge function for the longsword. I don't think it's a bug, as the Lunge works perfectly, but any advice for me?
If there's one thing I was disappointed by when making Tinker's Gear, it's that when I put slime on my boots, I didn't bounce back up from that ravine I jumped down...
I have used this mod before, but it was part of a very large FTB modpack.
Right now I'm trying to make a vanilla Minecraft world a bit more interesting. I'm running Forge for Minecraft 1.8.9. I have Journey map, Iron Chest, and Hopper Ducts right now.
I have absolutely no desire to restart my world so I have some questions:
First off, What is Mantle, and do I need it?
Second, How will I get all these other Ores that I need? My world has already been generated.
Third, Is there a mod that will allow me to create a portal to a new vanilla dimension where these ores could generate?
Fourth, What other mods work well with this one that I could also add to a world that is quite old?
Also, this is an expansion of the third question: Would I be able to change this "vanilla" dimension to use the mod "Realistic Terrain Generation"? Would this still generate the ores that I need for TC?
Sorry... but the OP doesn't provide a lot of information and the videos on the mod clearly show that you need other ores to make some of the items.

use MCedit to repopulate your world, if the file is huge, it might take a while. second, yeah, you need mantle, it's required to run tinkers construct

Ok, thanks. I looked up how to move chunks from one world into another with MCEdit, and I'll be moving my castle into a world using "Realistic Terrain Generation".
However, how am I supposed to get the non-vanilla ores that TC uses? I read that TC no longer generates these ores on it's own, so what other mod am I supposed to use?
If you have Iguana Tinker Tweaks, it may have disabled using thaumium as a bolt core. If so, remove it from the blocked materials in the config.
I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Oh really? okay. I will check the config and see what I can do. thank again:D
Command blocks are fun
"Not all who wander are lost"
Still lags and crashes.
No it is the same every time.

Other than that, I've been enjoying myself.
Anyone got any idea what the names are for the sprites that are used for the Glass Arrows?
Yeah, the material is called "pink slime". Making it unique because it has a space, where as all other materials don't.
And this one is not "glass".
Ok - I need some help.

There are none, glass is not a real material. They use the default colorable textures.
Well, if that's true it's broken then. Because it's not using the shaft sprite.
There's a reason glass arrows are not obtainable
[Edit] Never mind, I found the answer eventually
