Victini, thank you for your response. I do mean chests. When you say make a chest using the Builder do you mean placing them just like you would to make a chest? Because I've tried that and nothing happen.
1. Craft a Builder, then right click on the Builder to open up the GUI.
2. Use the + and ‒ buttons to set the size of your chest
3. Put the required materials in their respective places. You can also choose the chest's colour by clicking on the colour you want on the right or by hex.
4. Click on the "Build Chest" button
ok so I tried to switch the items used to create the chest to tin and copper because I get soooo much of them compared to iron which is scarce in the world atm for me but every time I try to change the config nothing happens.

Updated the OP with some info. More here just to not spam up the OP.
TL;DR: Work paused, competing in an event called JamOOJam. Gonna resume work after the event.
Work on CompactStorage will resume after JamOOJam, on the 27th of March for 4 days. You can see the repo on my GitHub when it goes live. I won't be streaming the event this time, but in the future I might. I have been preparing ideas for the event and work has not been done on CS but as I said, it will soon. Also a big thanks to HuskyMudkipz for the new review.
Finally got the chance to install it. Really well done and also flexible with the configurable recipes for different game settings. Can finally stretch into one all my storage mods.
Hi, after using your mod, I noticed that when i open the chests that I built, my fps drop down to like 1 or 2. At first I ignored this because I thought that it was just lag, but after awhile I realized it only happens when i open the chests. Btw, great mod, it's a good thing you changed it from your original design, as it was kind of overpowered. Thanks!:D

But seriously whats up with the fps bug? The hell are you doing in your gui code? O.o
You'd THINK at least the builder's gui wouldn't cause this since it's not modular...
This bug is a pain to remove for a few reasons. If I do change it for both the chest and the builder I will have to rewrite the ENTIRE gui code, which will take a while but "hopefully" improve FPS. There is a high chance that it will. The second option is to only change the builder and keep the modular element on the chest, this would improve FPS on the builder, not on the chest. The THIRD option is the best on IMO. Rewrite the system and try to keep the modular element on the chests (above 24x12, this is the max in the builder but it is possible to obtain bigger ones through NBT). It will be fixed. But just when I have time. I will try and do it today and also test the Refined Relocation compatibility that Dynious made for me.
I'm playing with the mod in Agrarian Skies 2 and really like the concept
I have a few suggestions though:
Could you make the hitbox of the chest a little smaller (just like the vanilla chest), so that it doesn't take up the whole block
A way to change the color of the chests afterwards would be nice too
When building a chest or a backpack, it would be more convenient, if it would be placed in some sort of output slot instead of being tossed in the air (I've lost more than one chest to the void through that mechanic)

Fixed it in 2.0.0.4 to CurseForge. Should be live soon.

Hey,
I'm playing with the mod in Agrarian Skies 2 and really like the concept
I have a few suggestions though:
Could you make the hitbox of the chest a little smaller (just like the vanilla chest), so that it doesn't take up the whole block
A way to change the color of the chests afterwards would be nice too

Otherwise really nice mod
