Dear Kihira, I'd like to inform you that the foxlib mod isn't detected on specific version mods folder (As in ".minecraft/mods/1.7.10/foxlib.jar) and to be able to use the tails mod I'm forced to move it to the general mods folder. Though this isn't an urgent situation, it's annoying to move the file everytime I play 1.7.10, because I play on multiple versions...
Thanks in advance for reading
cause thats not how its installed
my advice is you create a new profile and direct it not to .minecraft but somewhere else, ive done this for every modpack ive made

Yeah, that would be the FoxLibManager causing you issues there. I could have it scan all directories for a valid mod but it should be in the base directory with the same file name as the one you downloaded. I might be able to do something different but Baubles and FMP work exactly the same way so.

Actually that should work, when accepting the prompt to download foxlib it downloads to the general mods folder and when minecraft starts it detects a duplicate mod and closes, so using the version-specific folders should work.

Also, thanks Kihira for answering
So I decided to go ahead and add support for version specific sub folders. It'll scan the current MC version it is for. If the folder exists, it'll download it to there. If it doesn't, it'll download it to the root folder instead.
I've also improved the regex for detecting the FoxLib file to support a wider range of cases such as "Foxlib-1.7.10-0.7.0(1).jar" etc to help prevent issues.
So with that, Tails 1.3.1 is now available for download!

Hey, going through and updating all my mods, and say this one hasn't got a 1.8 yet. I really love this mod, and I'm not trying to complain or rush you, but I was wondering, do you have a planned time when the mod will be updated for 1.8? I love the mod, and don't like to play without it, so I'm anxious to see it updated!

1.8 forge is NOT advisable at the moment because its either in beta or alpha
You should make this mod be able to have custom models.
e.g. from a folder inside your minecraft directory named 'tails' or something.
if at all possible, wold you also accept it if I made that modification on a downloaded copy of the source code and sent it to you?
isn't there something called more player models?
surely thats enuth
also you could get voxel player witch changes the shape of your character(i recall it working for vanillia model but not any other)

Yes I know of more player models. But that mod is more of changing your player model rather than this mod which adds to it. And the only player-customized editing in mpm is colorizing and skin-based shapes. I was talking about actual models and animations. And it would be useful as a development feature as well.
