I think it could be solved by simply increasing the delay of the reverb to create the impression the sounds are echoing through a huge chamber. It would be nice to have this feature for all the sounds. Right now being in a huge tunnel sounds the same as being in a very small tunnel, and it breaks the immersion a bit. Perhaps some sort of volume calculation determining how much air is around the player, and adjusting the delay + low pass for the player appropriately?

Hmm, I was thinking of adding an option to raise the maximum reverb. Maybe I'll do that.
Actually, I do check how much air is around the player. However, I limit it to a certain number of blocks to reduce lag (you can increase that number in the config file, but that won't increase the maximum reverb level right now, just make it a bit more realistic).
It kinda does, but it's not like the video above.

I love this mod, been using it for ages.
Is it open source?

I would like to report a bug
Sound reverb only affect the front speakers. Rear/Surround seem to unfiltered sound.
Hmm, somehow I missed your post. No, it is not open source at the moment.
Oh, that's strange... I didn't even know minecraft supported surround sound speakers. Thanks for the bug report though.
So, this happened when I entered a Random things' spectral dimension.
I mean, that x100. My log file is 117k KB
I had to manually end the process for me to actually quit.
Actually, now that I remember, and figured out again, it was always that footstep mod.
Nevermind.
How to add a modded block?
You use the same block id name as you would in the /give command.
Wait. I don't get it.
For example I have a modded furnace from mod X that makes sounds like RPPRFFPPRPFPREFPRPFPRPPRPFPRPP
But I won't hear this sound for sure.
How can I mute this crazy furnace?
Ah, I thought you mean adding blocks to the config files.
You could encase the furnace in a few layers of wool blocks; the wool absorbs sound.
About the bug, disregard my mistake. All is well
This + MATMOS + Footsteps = awesome although matmos is very limited. Thanks a lot for this!
Holy cow... never even realized how much I wanted something like this O-o 10/10
I sometimes get this error in the log :
[12:58:59] [Thread-6150/INFO] [STDOUT]: [com.tmtravlr.soundfilters.filters.BaseFilter:checkError:109]: [Sound Filters] Caught AL error in 'loadSourceFilter attempt 1'! Error is 40961

What's that?

Are there plans to alter sound based on the equipment on the player's head?
Thank you. I tried to do this with IC2 and it isn't work. Sorry.
You know, it would be easy enough to make a resource pack to replace the sound of that furnace. I do that all the time with annoying modded sounds.
Yep yep.. JUST noticed.. Sorry! I guess I should have tested it first! It works just fine.. Thanks!
that is a good idea
I'd personally find that kind of annoying, but if it's optional I suppose I'd have no reason to object...
