Once you get three or more mob mods installed, no individual mod spawning system works without impacting on the others. JAS is essential if you really want to control spawning properly, and, its the only Spawner Mod that actually works 100% all the time.
Ive run custom modpacks that had several mods that add mobs without either of those mods and the mobs from both our mods spawned fine, throw Mo Creatures into the mix and suddenly our mobs dont spawn anywhere. Trust me, i know what I am talking about, I have run numerous tests and every time i get the same results.

Creator of the Mo' Chickens mod! So many chickens, so much death!
The Modpack Adult Sundown on the TechnicLauncher works perfectly fine with M&M and provides the mod that way if I understood correctly you are looking for it?
Not too long ago, the mod was crashing on start-up because it was making some call to a Dropbox that was down in order to see who could wear capes for the mod.
Mohawky, it does appear to be "fixed", but only because the Dropbox is back up. Sadly, it's only a matter of time before it occurs again.
Yep, that's the problem, a mod should NEVER have a reliance of contacting an external source that is unknown to the user. Especially if in doing so, it causes a game crash if it cannot make the contact. That's just very bad coding and practise. Its also, I suspect in contravention of Mojangs modding rules. Myths & Monsters is a great mod - but this aspect is VERY dodgy.
Its especially stupid in that it seems to relate to reward capes for donors? Some reward: here's a cape- oh and a free crash too! Idiocy.
He is slowly moving it to a site that is more reliable. But it may be a while til then because Hoop is caught up in school right now.

Creator of the Mo' Chickens mod! So many chickens, so much death!
Not to mention the fact that you should make it very clear to the users that your mod is making external connections, even if it's to totally harmless websites. Some people may still have reasons to want to avoid that.
Please feel free to share that with all big modders too. you have no idea how many mod make external connections that no one even knows about.
But yes, I'm sure he is going to add a catch to prevent crashing.

Man, I'm really liking the idea of this mod, however the spawn rates seem to be really messed up.
I first noticed this when I was outside at night in a savannah biome, and chimeras were literally spawning right before my eyes. They continued spawning to the point where the entire area got burned down and I couldn't retrieve my stuff without being killed by packs of over 15 chimeras.
Then, when I started a new world, the area I spawned in was crawling with jackalopes and wolpertingers, flooding my speakers with animal noises. I tried culling them off but they were spawning too rapidly and eventually my game crashed because there were too many mobs.
I've tried setting all spawn rates to 1 but the problem's still persisting, does anyone have a way to fix it?
This would spawn exclusively in winter biomes near or in water. It's an Inuit creature that looks like an Orca with legs. It would act much like a wolf, in that if you provoke it, they will attack you. They attack other hostile mobs. Maybe you could tame them like wolves also? Drops Ahklut Blubber. Can be used to create something burnable, since whale fat was used for lamps? Perhaps a Lantern of Protection that damages or scares away hostile mobs, since Akhluts are spirits of protection?
WENDIGO:
Spawns in Taiga and winter biomes. They are very quick, and they hunt zombies. (Flesh eaters) When they hit you, the hunger potion effect is placed on the player. Drops Wendigo Ribs or a Wendigo Skull that can then be used to create an armor piece that converts heath of mobs you hit into filling up your hunger.
So, the devs don't seem to be doing much on this right now, but I still wanted to suggest some more stuff. Sooo, Here's my mobs. Each one comes with a unique feature, a special item, and the mythology associated with the creature.
Part 1:
CAPRICORN:
Comes from Greek Mythology. A capricorn is a creature with the front half of a goat and the back half of a fish. Modeling possibilities include having a sheep with small, curly horns in place of an entirely new goat model. These would be passive mobs that can be found only in ocean biomes (they don't spawn naturally in lakes or rivers like squids. They would drop Capricorn Mutton and Capricorn Horn which can be crafted (using some other ocean item, like Aquaman Scales) into a Triton Shofar. A Shofar is a long musical instrument made from a goat's horn. When blown, it uses a point of durability and allows the player to swim at much greater speeds for a short period of time. As long as you have it in your hand, you also cannot drown, but it also takes damage over time for this.
NUCKELAVEE:
A creature from Scottish Folklore. Nuckelavees are centaur like creatures that look like a man riding a horse, but the man is attached at the waist. It has no skin, but instead all of it's muscles are exposed. Possible modeling opportunities to reuse the original horse model. The Nuckelavee is a creature of plague and famine, so it seeks out and destroys farms of wheat and potatoes. When it attacks you, it inflicts a number of nasty potion effects on you, and knocks you back. These will only spawn around Nether Portals, both in the Nether and Overworld. When killed, it drops 20-30 rotten flesh, and in addition, you will occasionally get a Devil Pike. This is a weapon similar to the tusk lance in it's appearance, but it is much more powerful. When striking a mob, it applies a whole bunch of similar nasty effects. However, when it is in your inventory, it slowly destroys all crop based food items (except for potatoes, which it replaces with poison potatoes)
when i loaded this mod into my minecraft forge server it spawned about 50 mobs in one chunk and overloaded my server. i allocated 1g to my server and tried it again and even with with that allocated it still lagged and crashed the server please help. i would really like this mod in y mod list for my server but i can't have it if it keeps on crashing it.
So is the Happy Fairy no longer craftable? I have an Angry Fairy in a jar after slaying a Dendroid Elder, but I can't seem to craft it into a Happy one using the recipe on the main post.

Back in these for'ms here, and mods have been updated, mods have been created, and mods have died. The circle of life continues.
There is an issue. Not a crash. kind of a bug. I can't find the spawner eggs for Hill Giant, Warrior and Dendroid. This happened after I installed Mo'Creatures [and deleted Custom Spawner] However, I also installed Advent of Ascension.
I am so sorry for my lack of activity everyone. I have had a lot of stuff going on such as my laptop breaking, college and just other barriers. I also really went off Minecraft which really hasn't helped. I am currently using an old rust bucket of a laptop that will allow me to run techne but uffortunately I can't run the game without really bad FPS. So I am going to try and get a lot of the models I had off my old PC remade and I'll see about getting an update out in the near future.
You all have my sincere apology, I have let you all down and for that I am really sorry. You guys have been so supportive of the mod and for that I owe you the very least to update the mod.
I will have a chat with HoopAWolf about getting the mod updated with new content. Once again I am really sorry everyone.
The idea is that both mods work together without any extra mods needed.

hmm... will this ever get proper morph support? i mean, you can already morph into them, but you don't have any powers
Hunters seem to spawn EVERYWHERE in the rain. EDIT: I read back a few pages and saw that Mo' Creatures does this, but i do NOT have it installed

Minecraft Fan! And modder wanna be!
I have a question, do the mobs spawn in Biomes o Plenty biomes?
are the spawns biome specifc because if not could you make it possible in the config to change where they spawn? Thanks!
can you make it so that the hunters attack ALL hostile mobs, not just ones from mam and vanilla? thanks!
May I use this mod in the modpack I'm currently working on?
It would be cool if you made some mobs tamable. Maybe the kitsune?
I am sad to see this dead..
