A couple of days ago, some users were helping me to figure out an issue with the mod, regarding the "invalid download link". Since you are part of the team that created this mod, can you examine the issue? Is there a conflict with Dragon's Radio mod [unseen one] At least send the issue to StumblinBear, please!
Well... easy!
Uninstall/disable the other mod and try to download your song.
If that works you got your answer.
And you should try to contact him yourself it's not that hard. Unless you are really lazy.

Please respect the config folder. It's okay to have the cache outside but config files should go in the config folder. Why? I couldn't connect to the server as a client because missing microblocks, due to the fact that I:flashyMode wasn't set in the client config.cfg file, it meant that the server and the client had different values and didn't generate the same microblocks, I was getting kicked by client server differences. Took me a while to figure that BetterRecords wasn't respecting the config file directory.

Hrm, where can I find the songs that the Local Library JSON files has named after I set it up? Do they show with the default records in the Etcher? Or what do I need to do?
Speaking of tutorials and troubleshooting, I've gone ahead and whipped up a record manager. It's written in Java, so everyone should be able to run it. You can use it to add a new record entry, delete an unwanted record, edit the name, author, file, URL, or color of a current record, or just view the details about all the records in your collection, all without messing with the treacherous localLibrary.json file!
because i like this mod, and don bruce has been amazingly helpful i am going to leave this little tidbit here (because even if dbrm is written in java and everyone with java is capable of running it, that does not equate to them having a clue how to do so). in windows, run> cmd. in resultant command prompt, go to the directory containing your dbrm.class file. then its a simple "java dbrm" without quotes to actually run it. no you cannot generally get a java class file to run by simply double or single clicking it in windows >.> and yes i know you thought or tried that at some point if this helps you out.
its mainly text mode and you should make note of your minecraft path (not your vanilla minecraft path, the path to your modded mc instance where you have betterecords installed)before starting. i also strongly suggest your mc instance with betterecords be in a relatively short filepath.
So, Don_Bruce and migueeel...I checked both of your links. Don's work perfectly while Migueeel's don't, for some reason [same error I posted]. On the other hand, even though I can "etch" the music disc...when I try to play the song...there is no sound! I don't know what is happening! As I said, there are only two mods that add "radios-like" objects, aside this mod: Bibliocraft and Dragon's Radio. Weird thing is...both work perfectly [streaming, sound etc etc]. But I can't find the reason why there seems to be issue with the "etch" and "play" thingy...

So my link let you download the song from DropBox, or just accepted the link for the etcher? i.e, does the download bar appear on the player and does the player not throw an error? And does the player say "Playing Sea Voyage"? There's about 4 steps after the etching, each of which can cause problems.
Let's see...remember that you uploaded the file that I share with you [through the link I posted here (the "Fellows" one)]. Ok, when I tried to upload the file (Fellows) that you uploaded from your DropBox, it worked! I got the "Etch" message. Then, I got the download message [and little bar]. Nonetheless, when I tried to play it, there was not sound. On the other hand, the Sea Voyage file didn't work. Same "error message" that I showed in the picture.
I tried, man! But there seems to be an issue. File is uploaded correctly, copy and pasted it too...but I still got the message. Only with Don's "Fellow" file I got it right (What did you do, Don?) but Migueeel and mine didn't work.

I don't know what I did, especially since I didn't ever host a link to the Fellow file. The fact that you've got one music file is a start, though. Would you be able to check to see if that music file is present in your .minecraft/betterrecords/cache folder? If so, can you play it? That'll eliminate anything like a corrupt download.
Assuming the music file is good, does the record player say "Now playing: Fellows"? If it does, you should have sound. I'd check your sound levels in the config first, as you might have the jukebox too low. Something else to note: Better Records is a bit finicky about sound devices. If you change your sound setup (HDMI audio to analog, plugging in speakers, etc.), you may have to restart Minecraft. There have been a few times that's happened to me, though I run Linux so that may not apply to you.
I still want to know why that download link to the Sea Voyage didn't work for you. I just downloaded it myself, so it should work for you too.
Love this mod. Only problem I've had is that the Radio seems to sound a little garbled - there are very odd sound artifacts while it's playing, at least from Tunein. Otherwise, pretty awesome
Nagged stumblin enough to release the update, can get the download here

An issue related with internet connection:
The game is not responding when the player open the GUI of a Record Etcher, especially if the player has a bad internet connection status.
And some latent issues related with localization:
1. Not all text are translateble.
2. Text with small font size will be broken in Unicode mode. I suggest not to set OpenGL scale ratio smaller than 1.0 under any circumstances.
This is what I see (under 1600 x 900 Fullscreen, [Game Option] -> [GUI scale] = Large):
Scratch all of that..

I'm not that Java-savvy, so I dunno how to run the file. Any tips anyone?
Someone mentioned something about that a few months back. I'll just re-post it here.

Is there an issue with the update checking? Despite having 1.2.0, it's telling me to update to it when loading a world.
On that note, it'd be awesome if a config option to disable version checking was added!
