That feature is actually already in, press ctrl + c to switch between column & row scrolling
Btw, an additional request for this feature? make it persist over minecraft sessions. If I kill minecraft entirely I have to ctrl+c again to switch, small annoyance but an annoyance nontheless
You managed to decompile and continue without me giving source code? O_O Bro, you are a god. Of course do whatever the [REDACTED] you want!!!! Good luck on it
is a Liteloader Version in question? and will you back port it to 1.7.2 Liteloader?
Hey, I've been pretty busy with work for the last couple of weeks so have not been able to work with this. Should have more time to investigate for this after my next release for this mod (which I've been planning for next week).
Is there a reason why liteloader version instead of forge one? I have not personally used Liteloader so do not know how it works.

Should be able to change that from the settings file:
# If true, by default you will browse between rows. If false by default you will browse through columns. Default: true
B:mode_switching_default_mode=true
Change that to false
I am also adding a GUI that can be opened with *your_modified_key* + M to open up a menu like this for toggling any of these settings on-the-run (as I dislike having to edit settings through a settings file):

Ah, cool pretty sweet. Btw, in 1.7.x you can use a special gui under the mods gui for configuration

New mod version 1.03 is now up! Lots of changes, changelog following...
Added menu for the mod. Default keybinding: ctrl + m. You can now change all mod settings and keybindings directly from here.
Added configuration option "enable_settings_menu_gui" which can be set to false if you do not want to have the mod settings menu available.
Updated message which gets shown when joining a game.
Changed so that whenever you change between column / row switching mode, it gets stored to file. This makes the setting to be remembered through game sessions.
Fixed bugs with the mod when server did not have mod installed. Should no longer have weird column switch syncronization issues.

Liteloader is actually probably the best platform for this mod, as its designed for client-side only mods and lowers the system requirements to run it. Forge is nice, yes, but suppose this is the only mod a given person uses, installing the whole of forge just for this simple (albeit awesome) client-side mod is overkill. Plus, you can load liteloader with forge and vice versa, so its not like you're killing off the ability of forge users to use it.

I hope I didn't bump this thread that much, but a question of mine is to add Dual Hotbars compatibility within this mod? Like if you have both this mod and that mod installed and you press Ctrl or whatever button you assigned to it, will it open up the other two bars? Maybe add Backpacks Mods compatibility?
Teddwa (The Fakemon in my avatar) belongs to ReallyDarkAndWindie and that is used with permission from him.

Yeah, asked for a similar thing earlier, but probably was too vague.
Thanks! That is not possible with the mod, is there a specific reason you would do that?
This would allow very quick switching between inventory lines and the hotbar. Speed is the only plus side to this. Personally, I don't think it would be a good addition. This mod already saves me plenty of time. I don't mind the extra second it takes for me to press a key and scroll up.

Yep, know of that. Although it is not possible with 1.6 and needs few more mouse clicks, so will be adding a separate GUI for that

Sure. I'm currently just waiting for Forge to catch up with 1.8.
I think you mean "survival multiplayer".
This works both on singleplayer and multiplayer, yes.
