How about a hawthorn wand core (Which would give a big bonus to Ordo costs, because it has lots of ordo in it), which can be charged with living things? I mean, you right click, say, a leaf block, and the block would disappear, and the aspects that make it up would be put into your wand (So, you'd get one herba, which would translate to roughly around maybe five vis?). This wouldn't be as cheap as alter power, but it'd work on the same principle (Pulling power from living things around you).
So, Spiteful Fox. Remember how I said that a Witchery Wand/Rod should use Infusion Power to charge it? Then came the issue of "Aw, man, that's at LEAST 1 diamond to charge it, assuming you don't run out of infusion power, then it's maybe another one... anyway, came to the realization that I may have been thinking about this the wrong way... maybe one shouldn't need to charge it with your own power... maybe just using the rite of infusion would be enough, if the wand/rod is the target.
...But then again, one can recharge the infusion power one has with another rite of infusion. No idea if you need another death protection poppet to do this, but hey, it's a start!

[quote=Cryptonat][quote=Snitch]Basically you're stuck in hell till you find a portal out. There are alternatives to pig, by the way, as you probably know. :> There are no alternatives to Bacon. Ever.
Also, since we're knee deep in blood(magic) now, why not a suggestion!
Robes! Yes, robes, but ones made with special cloth, made with wool that has been treated with sacrificial blood, ideal for aspiring blood mages! Can use LP to repair themselves(not a lot needed, though), and are even better at holding enchantments then normal Thaumaturge robes, and to top it all off, if possible, anyway, when dyed they are always red as their primary color, but additional colors add mystical patterns that look cool!
Also if possible, they should make using blood magic spells somewhat cheaper.
The recipe chain(that I came up with) involves taking a altar and throwing wool in it and staining it with blood. After that, it goes into a blood alchemy set to make the cloth, and from there one makes fancy robes and/or banners.

Although I am aware that this is hypocritical, that bad grammar made me whimper slightly. I preemptively apologize for any grammar mistakes I make in the future.
im playing TPPI and cant manage to research the Pickaxe of Distortion, because i'm missing one aspect. I have all aspects in the Thaumonomicon from the first Post though.
What is the missing third Aspect beside Instrumentum & Perditio and how do i get it?
So, SpitefulFox, any hope of at least one more 1.6.4 release before you make the jump to 1.7?

He isn't making the jump to 1.7 Flaxbeard, and Democretes will be taking over however, they will be working off a list of idea's he listed. Aswell as keeping in contact with spite. Basically he is going to be assuming a god father roll. =p
Hey Spitefulfox, I know you probably don't like feature suggestions/requests on the thread but is there any way that the chameleon tools might be able to have a different name per state? I'm unsure how achievable that is or even if its been suggested before, but I figured i'd throw it out there, loving playing with your addon, just wish i'd discovered it sooner haha
It might be possible. I'd have to figure out where they store the custom name info.
Perhaps you'll be able to go back in time and give them to yourself? So, for, example, you'd start up a new world, and the first time you run out of ink and you take out the inscribing tools, the slot will be filled with the Scribing Tools Of Thoth. It'd be OP, I know, but perhaps, when you eventually research the recipe, instead of giving you the tools, it just, when finishing the infusion ritual, sends the result back in time, forcing you to make two of them.
Edit: I added one too many commas in there somewhere, but I'm unsure where. Sorry.

What if you dont make them?
Edit: Oh! They can be useful if you play with KAMI or Advanced Thaumurgy.

Except you'd still have the set you kept with you from the past.

The physical embodiment of wrath and lust. Beware the wrathful succubus named Liara!
Well it would be cool for when u start a new world and you have already researched everything multiple times in the past you could have them as like your first research item and they like magically appear in your inventory if you made them in a past world, but otherwise its just gonna be similar to the fact that you have one of every wand from every add-on you play and base thaumcraft with even if you never use it... but hey you have them right?
...But then again, one can recharge the infusion power one has with another rite of infusion. No idea if you need another death protection poppet to do this, but hey, it's a start!

I still have at least one more release left for 1.6.4, since I haven't released these:
It might be possible. I'd have to figure out where they store the custom name info.
ok, thats nice but what exactly is the point of the scribing tools, when even the description says theyre useless at that stage of the game?
There is no point! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Erm... You kinda need to have KAMI enabled to make it.

But you will make them eventually, when you get bored enough. It is inevitable, Mr.
