Having it randomly proc while full/hungry would just be an invite for people to idle, and would require a thing watching the player's every mood, which doesn't seem like it'd be very server-friendly.

So just now and then when they DO eat, give them a shard. Low chance that increases with saturation foody stats. Or a 100% chance if they eat a enchanted golden apple. Kidding! A 5% chance. Gold is easy to farm from the nether, and this mod assumes we like it in of that it's tab is Infernal stuff.

What if you had the Gluttony shards drop everytime someone gives a furnace a Full stack of edible items to cook/craft?
Or maybe have it as a very rare extra drop from the infernal furnace with food items?
Or maybe have it as a semi-rare drop when a tripple meat treat is thrown into the infernal furnace?
Oooooooh, making it a rare drop from the Infernal Furnace isn't a bad idea.
Oooooooh, making it a rare drop from the Infernal Furnace isn't a bad idea.
Also that earlier thing about eating the last slice of thaumic cake being a 100% was nice as an extra thing; think about that one its a very costly 100%.
Maybe if it integrated the burnout mechanic to it too, so for every aspect point of vis recharged you gained some burnout, and it affected the amount of mana needed peer point of vis, so you cant just keep eating mana cakes/standing on a nexus/drinkin mana potions to gain more vis (unless this is actually intended).
The AM2 API doesn't offer any way of applying burnout, unfortunately. :c
I was a little worried about balance, but from testing, the mana -> vis rate is so high that even if you're a level 30 caster with all three mana regen perks, the wand will still shred through your mana like no tomorrow. You'd have idle for a really long time to fill the thing from just mana, at which point you could've just been idling waiting for a node to refill.

If I recall correctly, you start at mage level one with only 100 mana. You'll need to be a high level to have it NOT suck you dry in seconds.

Question not the mad-mans ways, for you may begin to see logic in his actions, then find yourself mad as well.
You may call me The Madman, as there is no name that suits me better.
I happen to make modded survival maps, if your interested see my latest: The Asylum

What is more worthy of an opponent the the god of destruction, the king of the nether, the embodiment of corruption and death itself?
(In a non-poetic form: You need to kill the wither to get pride shards)

That's an odd crash. Looks like the new TT is doing something where my mod can't detect that it's there, but still moving Infusion Enchantment to a different tab.
I'll try and figure out what the problem is and get a patch out.
The crash is because as Azanor requested, we stopped moving the infusion enchanting to our enchanting tab. This means SpitefullFox's mod no longer finds it where it was expected
Version 0.23 is out now and should fix compatibility issues with the new TT.
v0.23:
- Bugfix: Mod is now compatible with beta builds of TT. Will now manually check whether Infusion Enchanting has been moved or not.
- Bugfix: Sloth Shards no longer floppy.
- Bugfix: Eldritch Wand now checks whether or not the Player Beacon is actually functioning.
- Change: Tainted research is now moved into a Taint tab. If Thaumic Exploration is present and has a taint tab, will use their tab instead.
- Change: Greedy and Educational enchants no longer compatible
- Change: Emerald Transmutation now has a config to disable it
- Addition: Config to disable all the new aspects. Will also disable the entire Infernalism tree.
- Addition: Witchwood Wand, uses AM2 mana for vis
- Addition: Vinteum, Alchemical, and Ender Caps. Provide discounts for associated cross-mod wands.
I really like this idea personally.

O-o wha mod is that, that you are cross modding thaumcraft with?
That wand core in particular is compatibility with Ars Magica 2.

Yup.
The crash is clearly coming from FM, so it's still a problem on my end and not TT's.
