Would it be possible to make submarines and airships in this if we made an airship block and submarine block and add stuff like thrusters and engines for airships while submarines have propellers and hatches.
I noticed in the site that secret rooms has problems with this mod, but I haven't really noticed any problems per say. It's probably because I haven't gotten around to using the ships mod yet. My only interest right now is airships.

I know a guy who fix ships mod to work with smartmoving in like 1 day. But they have he own server and do not want to share fix in internet. So. What the problem, really?
I want to promote this mod with this picture of some technology I made.
Has a internal filter like sail-engine amidships.
Arresting cable composed of tripwire and pistons, can be setback by lever.
Elevators aren;t realistically functioning but has ladders to bring the pilot and aircraft up and down from the hanger.
Around 9800 blocks near the limit.
Has light poles on each end and strips to guide and organize aircraft.
I have made carriers in the past, howver they were either slow small escort carriers or small fast light carriers. CV-4 Yagokoro here is designated a Full on standard or Fleet carrier for having a large airgroup and being relatively fast. She is built untop a extended sailing frigate hull with the fligth deck, hanger deck, and 2 decks below for crew, ammunition, supplies, etc

Better than Archimedes's ship mod thanks to the blocks being able to work whilst the boat is assembled and you can walk on it and don't fall through,
Adding a way to transport entity's would be nice though

Just came across this mod, and new to running mods etc - I think I read that older versions of a mod will not usually work on newer version of minecraft. So is this mod going to be released for 1.11.2? Are there any ship mods that will work on up to date minecraft version? Sorry - very new, and really just want some ship capabilities. Thanks!

current version is stuck at 1.7.10 however archimedes... is still being updated... however This mod is far better than archimedes

Although it is buggy a little and it's physics aren't as good, I'd recommend Archimedes's ship mod as Rory said.

Is Minecraft 1.11 really that much better than 1.7 anyway? =P
True, i still am a 1.7.10 User, especially since this Version has so many Mods to use and sadly most of the Mods haven't been updated any further since their Owners abandoned it and so on.
Ofcourse tho, there are certain things added in the newer Minecraft Versions which 1.7.x doesn't contain, unless someone backports these actually with a mod, but some features also are so unneeded (like the new combat system).
I don't really have the time/money to keep working on Ships Mod. Enjoy the 1.7.10 version though! =)

Nah, 1.11 is the best! broken combat, broken health regen, nerfed food, no optimization, a lack of mods. and the best part, mods are only just getting updated to 1.11, and 1.12 is a month away!
