This looks really impressive! I'm watering at the mouth waiting to see this mod, and just as well some of these mob/environment designs are so good I wonder why they're not in basic minecraft! Good luck and godspeed getting this mod finished!
I think it would be epic if you could add much larger trees that have the same design as normal Betweenlands trees but are hollow so you could build in them. By far the best mod I've seen, probably better than the Aether.

The trees you see on the picture are only rubber trees (and they arn't even correct...), there will be giant weedwood trees, about 3 - 4 blocks wide
I've finished the world gen for the giant weedwood tree. They are pretty uncommon because they cause a lot of lag. Here is a picture of it:
The terrain generation has changed a lot today, the sky is now totally covered of leaves, you can't see the sky anymore
Also the color of the sky and fog has changed to green and it's very dark...
Some pictures of it:
Edit: There will be everywhere giant weedwood trees, not like that! The lag was caused because minecraft doesn't run well in eclipse and debug mode. It might cause a bit lag, but not that much.
No Vines D: . Also wounder why caleb is gone, Maybe he had IRL stuff.
This is news to me!
Thanks for contacting me about it though.
Seeya later!
Edit: Please note the sarcasm.

And a little house in the dark (thats how the brightness will be)
What are those blocks around the door, though?
