Moving on, TripleHS, what are you working on? I can't wait for you to post a model
It could be anything that you've done!
Another thing, I don't really mind, I'm just interested, but could you give me an approximate pourcentage of progress on the betweenlands...
(And maybe Cubed aswell...)
Cant give you any numbers :/
Anyways, right now I would like to work on the PW. I planned on finishing the model yesterday but due to some renovations at home, we only have acces to one computer. And my father had to use it for his job.
So next thing to do will be the PW still. after that I will do some stuff for my own little project. Need to switch themes now and then
Here is a Subject to talk about: What do you guys think of 1.6? Good? Bad? Meh?(<-I don't know) or what? Let's talk about it
Why did you use comic sans is the REAL question. But I think the update is fine. They have villager voices, clay blocks, and not to mention all the bugfixes with grumm!
Also, I a so excited! Just found out Minecon is in Florida today, and I live there! I'm like a little kid when a new game comes out: break out yo wallet daddy and buy me ticketz foo! <That was me, as a kid. I was hip.
1.6 is a fun update, but I can't believe that it is actually a main update. The amount of features is really low, and the amount of stuff that is actually needed (more mobs, biomes, terrain, ocean stuff) is left out completely.
I agree with you, too little features. Need more mobs for me xD I thought it was called the mob update or something...
Just got back from trip + having to fix account. The new altar model looks awesome and so dose that Easter egg. Btw everyone should go to mr. Compost's house and bring anything with high suger levels so we can all go om nom nom nom nom forever. Ps 1.6 needs a lot more features like new biomes or somfin
1.7 needs Canyon biomes. Picture tall, steep cliffs surrounding deep valleys some of which containing raging rapids.
The cliffs are made of a dark reddish brown dirt, hard clay, and a new type of stone thats a deep orange-yellow.
Springing from the cliff top are dead trees, but along the rivers edge bushes, short stubby trees and some new
beautiful flowers have come to call this biome "Home"!

"I'll cry till' the tears turn to blood then cry till' it's all drained out of me."
That already exists. It is called Extreme Hills Edge.
Umm.. no. That place is A) Not a real biome, only around the butt-ugly mountains, B:) Not green, C) SOOO flat, and D) not have much tall grass, flowers, or any of the atmosphere I am looking for.

Somewhat off topic, however it seems pretty lackluster. The majority of features in 1.6 have all ready been added by far more competent modders' and usually in much better form, ie Mo Creatures, Simply Horses, Middle Ages (carpets) etc. The largest feature of the mod was directly borrowed from Dr. Zhark, and instead of running with his pretty good system they had to water it down significantly to make it more "Minecrafty". They should leave the domain of new in game features to the modders and work on what they promised earlier with a good Mod API. Even this however seems to be approaching relative uselessness as Forge continues to become more and more of the API that Mojang once promised. I could be really wrong on that front, but I am interested on hearing what some competent modders have to say about this.
That mod is ****. Beyond ****. That's right, I said ****, and Xolova is an utter ****. The ex-devs can even confirm it
However, Len will make a model of "how it should have been done if Xolova had any talent at all"...just to get on his ****, cos he 'aint having it, man.
Yeah, I am going to have to agree with pretty much everyone on this thread on this one. I really never understood the appeal of DRPG in the first place. It adds a ton of new items, dimensions and mobs however it all seems uninspired and relatively poorly made. Who really cares if you have 300 new mobs when they all look unfortunate and act roughly the same? Or who cares if you go to a new "dimension" that is really just a recolor of existing block and materials to be blue? No sir, I cant say I understand the appreciation for it at all. If I was going to suggest a really quality mod that could use an artists' help with models, I would suggest the truly well thought out mod by Gnomeworks named Dungeon Mobs. It only adds a few monsters however they serve a direct purpose and every aspect is very well balanced and put together. The textures and models themselves are certainly passable however a talented modeler could really work magic with something like that.
Ok, Look, I really don't know how to say this in the least harshest way (and don't tell me "if you don't have anything nice to day, don't say anything at all" thing), But I have to say this:
I give up
I mean, really, I give up with this mod. I mean, does it take one WHOLE year for something like this to come out? For FSMs sake, give me some hint that this mod is actually being worked on? Like show us a video of what goes on in the Beta Betweenland mod.
*Sigh* I know you're probably going to say something like "It'll be released when it's done", or "Be patient, they're working as hard as they can", and I know they are, but c'mon, ONE YEAR?!?! Doesn't a mod for a simple limited Java-based Lego Game take this much time? Is it because of the updates to Vanilla Minecraft that keeps pushing the release of this mod, or is it cause no one's working on this mod? Give me some form of media that someone's working on this mod in any video form possible.
Why am I actually complaining? No one's going to listen, and the Betweenland Fans who are clinging to the shred of false hope that this mod might see th light of day one day will just put me in the "Complaining Fan" category.
I'm not flaiming you or trying to get you down. I just want closure. Give me some sort of hint that this mod is actually getting closer to a release...
Until then, I'm disconnecting myself from this mod, I give up on this. At least the Aether was nice enough to release their mod to the mass despite it being as buggy as a small Anthill
I suggest you take a look at the twitter: http://www.twitter.com/betweenlandsdev
There are a lot of new things being posted there, such as the glowworms and the new models (a few are also posted at the OP)
Well, when three people (think thats right) try to make a huge mod like this it takes roughly a year. Here's why:
1. This is a huge mod!
2. There are only three guys working on this.
3. Those three guys don't get much modding time since they probably are busy with real jobs!
4. They want to make it perfect for us, they want this to be a mod which has few bugs if there will be any.
5. Then you get two buddies and try to make something like this, and see how hard it is!

I used to check this thread everyday. Not so much anymore... To be honest I'm still very excited for it. But some of you guys here are plain rude. I could name names, but I'm not going to.
Cant give you any numbers :/

Bye. Nobody is going to miss an entitled child, just like the ones hounding the Aether.
I bet you can make a mod as large as this in three days with all the java knowledge you have. [/sarcasm]
What you are stating is that something like this shouldn't take this long so you clearly have some java knowledge.
Well, guys, this kids got some facts, he knows FSM!
