i cant seem to run this mod , minecraft freezes and stops responding on the loading screen then i have to force close it via task manager . i have no other mods installed .
Hey I turned off the shaders from this mod but its still conflicting with the shaders mod.
# [default: true]
B:"Use shaders for rendering (this forces FBOs to be enabled)"=false
I:"Wisp Rendering Quality (0-100)"=100
}
Is whatI changed it to.
open the .jar file with WinRAR{or something of the like,} go into the assets folder, and delete the "Shaders" folder in there
run regular Shaders and tell me if that works,
my gaming PC is occupied restoring a broken hard drive's files, so I gotta use my awful laptop right now which can't run shaders well enough for me to test it myself{any shader, even the "only water" shader}

I don't think this will work because the shaders aren't even loaded if they are disabled in the config file, but it's probably worth a try.
I recently fixed an incompatibility with the other shaders mod in the dev build (surprisingly it wasn't due to the BL shaders but due to the sky and overlay renderers) . The next update should fix this issue anyways.

Disable the shaders in the Betweenlands config. If that doesn't help try disabling the custom main menu in the Betweenlands config.
and how do i do that ? @.@ tried fiddling with the mod files made things worse . now it gives me a crash report

I'm sorry you have to deal with that jargon, I wouldn't have the patience for it personally.
I am curious if an option to disable the custom music for the 1.7.10 version is planned, currently as it stands, it has conflictions with the music choices mod.
These issues being that they both overlap one-another, playing both their themes at once. So I get double the betweenlands music, as I readded it to avoid battle music playing indefinitely. It is a safe assumption betweenlands uses it's own music code.

you can open the .jar file in something like WinRAR, go to Assets, and then edit or remove the sounds from there for your personal file
EDIT: I mean just for you for now until a better solution comes along,

I really want to try this mod out, but it seems I can't due to a nasty crash with biome id's. I have other biome-adding mods installed and I turned on the option in the config to put the id's higher than 127. When I did change the id's and launch the game, I get:
I say "random number" because it's nowhere close to what I changed the biome id's to. The first time I tried to change them from 180-186, the number it spewed at me was 314, and when I changed the id's to 135-141, it gave me 270.
Alright so I have tried everything, the Betweenlands will not allow any of the normal music assigned in music choices to play.
I have tried blacklisting all other dimensions, whitelisting only the Betweenlands dimension, and assigning biomes. No progress has been made, only battle music will play and will play indefinitely after hitting a mob.
So my guess is the traditional Betweenlands music code is conflicting hardcore with music choices.

Please send us the whole crash log (and remove any personal information). Using IDs above 127 is generally a bad idea and should be avoided if possible.

TBL replaces the vanilla music ticker when in the dimension and Music Choices might be doing the same, that would explain the conflict. Adding a config option would probably be the easiest solution and should work for you, right?

Yes, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also that is exactly it pretty much, going back into the overworld/nether/end/menu and music choices works fine. Also, explains why I can't find errors in the minecraft logs.

The Betweenlands automatically adds M-variants of its biomes 128 IDs above the ones you set its IDs to - this means that you have to set the IDs in its config to 127 or below. I'm not sure what that option does, but I don't think it would change that fact. I'd imagine it just lets you put other mods' biome IDs above 127, which is entirely possible for many other biome-adding mods such as Biomes o' Plenty or the Twilight Forest! I tend to bunch those mods up so that half of their IDs are 127 or below, and the other half are 128 IDs above those, making especially sure that any biomes that aren't in the overworld (like Nether or Twilight Forest biomes) aren't 128 IDs above biomes that generate in the overworld.
Hey fellow Betweenlands players! just checking in on the mod! the bats are AMAZING and amazing work with the dreadful Peat mummy! I just have no clue how to play with friends.. I don't know if I could ask.. but, If anyone could tell my how to play with friends on this it would be great! ive seen people on videos do it many times. But, this mod is amazing! the scrolls are my personal favorite! I cant wait for more mobs to come out! Mod developers, Thank you sooo much for this mod! Its truly a winner for me! Yea that is what I was planning. I'll replace them with a silent .ogg file I got in case removing them would cause errors.
