Brand spanking new update! Squish all that stone you mined into neat little compact cubes so you're not hauling around stacks upon stacks of cobble while mining
Loving the new updates! I feel like not enough attention is being brought to this thread. To say my thoughts about the poll:
More ores?
This mod adds a plentiful amount of ores to the mix, nothing more or less. If you ask me, I don't think there should be more ores. Your main goal for this mod is to balance the tier system, and adding more ores would be either redundant or overpowered. Heck, it could have stopped at red diamonds. Aether metal is an endgame prize, obtaining it is much harder and it really sees no use until you've spent several months working on a survival world. (exaggeration, but hopefully my point was conveyed)
Weapons & Armor
I'm all for new weapons. I'm certain that adapting these metals into weapons from other mods such as Balkon's Weapons, Mine & Battlegear, would take this mod up to the next level. I've never seen an ores mod do this, so you should start the trend! Other mods that add defensive items such as shields and whatnot also apply to this.
More Blocks
More blocks...hmmm. More aesthetic choices are great, but how would you go about adding more blocks?

First off, thanks! I try to keep updates interesting! I wish there was a little more activity in this thread, so I'd know more concretely if my mod is what people want.
Ores:
I understand where you're coming from. I feel there's enough ores as there is so I took that off as a poll selection.
Weapons and Armor:
I'm 100% new on implementing other mods, so I'm not too sure on how I can make that work, but some weapon ideas I have are things like extra bows and arrows, plus I'm thinking on making a new mod called Infinite Alloys that allows the player to smelt 4 of the base components (Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald) into a Tier 2 alloy, then smelt tier alloys together to create new alloys and being able to mix and match all sorts of alloys together to create tools and armor. I think I know how I'm going to get this done, I just need to start on the coding.
Blocks:
Well so far all the blocks I've added serve a purpose, I don't have any blocks strictly for decoration. I could probably just make some new blocks for decorating purposes that just implement crafting recipes from current materials, stuff as simple as that.
About compatibility with other custom dimensions added by other mods, you could develop a dependencies system, in which detects if there is another dimensions, and then, generate in them.

Actually, I got it to work! Just had to do with how the ores registered how they spawned. What you said is basically how the ore spawning works in general, but once I figured it out it was easy, so thanks for the suggestion.
The refined alloy furnace can not smelt all thing like the regular furnace.
Well, it's not supposed to, but I can try to make it do that. Item subsets are tricky to deal with and I might change the recipe so it's harder to make the alloy furnaces if they'll act as a better normal furnace.
I honestly haven't taken a look at the later version of Minecraft after 1.7.2, how the code works probably changed between the version, enough to where it would render my mod unable to work. If you want to give it a try, go ahead, but don't hold your breath. I've been a little busy with college stuff and moving so I haven't been able to touch on my mod for a while, plus I'm coding an actual game so I have all that on my plate x) sorry if this is an inconvenience, I can probably try to get it working for 1.7.10 if people want me to

And we do want you to, unless it already works. Most mods work for 1.7.x, it is only bug fixes between 1.7.2 and 1.7.10

Thanks! I tried not to make it just another ores mod
