Just put rv1 on my test server before putting it on my live server to replace rv0, and just want to say the new crafting system is friggin amazing. I love how it feels, that it takes some real work to setup but isn't overly complicated, or like AE1 overly simplistic. Well done! Totally worth losing ExtraCells for

Wells since I just froze the API for the beta you can get your extra cell back as soon as m3ga updates.
(Please forgive my English.)
I love this mod, I really like channels and even meteors. I enjoy exploration and sky stone is cool. So thank you for your work, Algorithm. You make my minecraft better.
I started a survival world, and I'm now looking for meteors. I have five calculation presses, and I wonder... Is that normal? XD I've found only calculation ones. Just them. I read everyone finds multiple meteors and stuff, with all the presses inside... Am I just very unlucky or am I missing something? It's fine if I'll have to search more, I'm just worried to find calculation ones forever for some reasons.
Thanks, Its likely you are just unlucky, tho i believe my previous attempts at removing some of the RNG factor from meteorites may have actually made things worse, I will probably revisit that.
Great work on the new version of the mod -- I was worried when you said you were re-doing it, but I really like the new system.
I'm a bit confused by the instructions for the controllers, however. On the wiki it says
A ME Controller can have 2 adjacent blocks in at most 1 axis;
which says to me that they need to all be arranged in a straight line, since any bends would require at least one unit to have it's two neighbours be on DIFFERENT axi (axeses?) However, the same page also says
which implies that there can be bends, since if they all had to be in a straight line, you'd just have said "no more than seven long". So, I'm having a hard time figuring out how both these points can be relevant, and wondering what my addled mind is missing?

Hopefully that explains it a bit more, the first rule you mentioned means you can only have a line thought a block in one direction, but there can be a single sided in other directions without bothering it.
Some tutorials on how the new crafting system in RV1 would be helpful. While the website is very slick, it lacks basic information like power draw, interactions and requirements to get the crafting system up.
Also, a T3 energy storage cell would be very helpful. I currently have 43mae stored (mostly for the quantum bridge when I finally get the singularity going.)

Ah, thanks, the pictures do clear it up :).
I misread the wiki as saying that each block could only be connected to two others, hence my confusion.

Did you check out Bevos video on the crafting cpu page?
Back when it was AE 1, I didnt understand this mod. Bacon_Donut changed that and made me love AE 1.
AE 2 comes out, Bacon_Donut tries it, I wont even touch it. When mods drastically change their method from one version to another, that's what makes me dislike the mod.

The video is good, but it really does explain what is going on behind the scenes. Like why have a co-processor? How many channels are required for each component, etc. Plus he uses a creative energy cell which doesn't help in knowing how much power this system is going to need.
Seems you tried it long enough to know it did not change that much at all.
No, it changed alot from what Ive seen. You have to grow the Certus, find print things from meteors, and I just dont see a need to use it anymore. I'll stick with JABBA personally.

"from what Ive seen"
is statement enough. Nobody forces you to use it but there is no reason to **** talk something if you did not even try it.

Ive not once said anything like 'this mod sucks'. I've said 'I personally dont like this mod' which means it's my opinion and in no ways attempting to discourage people from using it.
Personally I dislike the randomness factor when to comes to searching the presses that are found in meteors in AE2. My suggestion is to replace the chest with something else that requires problem solving and/or discovery on the players part not on the player's luck. It keeps with the futuristic science fiction spirit that your trying to aim with this mod.

Yeah i'm likely going to re-do the random-ness factor, I have something in mind.. I should have done it sooner, laziness got the better of me.

Sorry to hear that, cya around.
My words were just an opinion of one man, but still, I didnt like what I saw of how drastically you changed this mod.
Seems you tried it long enough to know it did not change that much at all.
