Actually you don't use a brewing stand. It is a glass bottle with water in it, one piece of coal, and one nether wart in a crafting recipe (using your crafting bench)

First off, I'd like to thank you for your MITE mod, a beautiful thing to see and play. I have only one issue, I had tamed 2 wolves within my area, and was out getting my daily bunch of meats, and all of a sudden both of my wolves disappeared. I had fed them rotten flesh earlier in that morning so I am sure they were at full health. Is there anything I am misunderstanding about this? I searched the forums for an answer, but have not found one yet.
I blocked off the dungeon with sand and then dropped sand on their heads, suffocating them while pushing the wall backwards. I died twice, once discovering the spawner and once recovering my items from the first death. No metal tools were required; only wooden shovels from trees cut with flint axes and charcoal burned in a gravel-compressed stone oven.
Thank goodness it was skeletons! They are so incredibly useful, and difficult to hunt in the open.
Our Mite series is getting so good just wait till next week YOU WILL LOVE IT! Link just in case your not caught up Episodes realeased every weekday! This weekend 2 bonus episodes!
MiTE 'Migos Episode 15: The Copper Pickaxe Ladies and gentlemen, the MiTE 'Migos have, by great pains and at long last, attained a copper pickaxe!
Bring me all the champagne!
I wanted to put an idea forward, if you like it then upvote and maybe Avernite our lord and master may oblige
TLDR: I want skeletons to protect my castle!
Long Version: We need a richer endgame experience, the start of avernites is amazing but then it gets a little too safe later on. I want to build a big friggin castle and protect it with watch towers manned by archers!.
So....here's how it works. Find a spawner underground, when you hit it it goes to your inventory as a craftable item. Add the spawner to some emeralds and obsidian and you get a new green spawner. it only produces like 1 or max two skeletons a night but with a well built tower they have the advantage! Imagine harvesting your crops at night while the watch towers protect you.
The next part...as you move further from you original spawn the armies of the night become more and more deadly, surface lava steams become more common to give you this clue, at 1000 blocks west you need a stone castle with archers to survive. So why leave spawn!? the further you get the better your crops, magic and item farming become.
I imagine throughout a whole game you may have two or three castles each in a more dangerous region than the next, maybe linked by rail? Castles must be VERY WELL designed against attackers. Castles far from spawn must be built of pure obsidian and may require a dozen archers just to survive the normal nightly attacks.
I am certain other people can imagine mechanics better than me but I do think that being able to man the walls or watchtowers removes the feeling that a tree is the safest you ever need to be (not near a forest:)
In summary, the end of minecraft is too easy is too easy!
Once more unto the breach, dear skeletons, once more!!!
PS: Upvote this now!!!!
PPS we need giant trolls to attack stuff when in the wastelands far from spawn
Add cookie dough and burnt cookies.
Put cookie dough (uncooked cookie) in any oven with wood or charcoal and you get cookies. Put it in a furnace or fuel it with coal and you get a burnt cookie.
That's on page 84, friday september 19. We're now on page 94, sunday december 07. This means 10 pages and 79 days later. that's a lot of gap here.
Also, his website says R86 will be released when there will be 1000 likes for the mod. Given the size of the ENTIRE MITE community, and how MITE targets essentially extremely hardcore players (MITE *is* a really "hard to get into" mod, after all- and also has lots of grinding in it), this is akin to making a product for blind albino dwarf twins and then asking for 1000 likes for it. Or maybe it meant "when hell will freeze over" ?
As far as I'm concerned, it means one of two things:
#1 - Not certain but probably, Avernite is nowadays less interested by his MITE project compared to whatever else he is doing these days. This may be due to a huge number of reasons or factors that reshuffled his priorities.
#2 - He's doing a complete and total rehaul of MITE, starting over again, but basing it on Vanilla 1.7.10 or vanilla 1.8.1 instead. Who knows ?
I've been away for a long while, but R87 is now available.
I can't remember all of the changes that were made because things have gone a bit hazy. Well, two bug-fixes come to mind; the pumpkin-on-head bug and the armor dyeing bug. The first of which was pretty nasty but rest assured you can now wear pumpkin helmets with confidence. Major refactoring efforts were also made back in September/October and many hundreds of class files were altered from R85, so I'm not sure how this one will perform out of the gate but we'll soon find out.

Yay! I think I'll hold off on upgrading the MiTE 'Migos server until next week. Let the community test it a bit before bringing it to the show. Great to know you've patched the armor dying bug. Goldfish has been booted from the server twice now trying to do that.
Thank you so much for the early Christmas present, Avernite. One good turn deserves another so I'll share a secret with you that won't see Youtube for another week... Shadow and I have been leveling back up between recording sessions, and my next kill will put me at zero.

As for Goldfish... He seems to like it at -40.
That's probably a good idea.
I started watching Season 1 of the MiTE 'Migos series last night. Must say that I'm enjoying the witty humor and high production values
Thanks in advance!

My main "fear" is that Avernite seems to be away...
