So I went through and tested every tool versus diamond tools (minus the armor as of now).
EDIT: I tested some of the armor by standing in an enclosed room with a Skeleton, standing two blocks away from it. I took 64 arrows for each piece of armor. The Doge armor seems to have slightly higher durability than diamond, but I'm still unsure about it.
Pickaxes - I mined two full stacks with each tool of End Stone (these are enchanted with Efficiency V only)
Axes - I broke two full stacks of Oak Logs with each tool.
Shovels - Dug up two full stacks of Dirt with each tool.
Hoes (farming tools) - I cultivated 128 blocks of dirt with each tool.
Swords - I killed 64 Zombies a piece with each sword
Swords to Picks (on my hotbar)
Hoes (farming tools)
As you can see the durability for the Doge tools is weaker than diamond. The Doge tools do break their respective blocks MUCH faster (as fast as any diamond tool with about Efficiency 2 or 3) but they don't last as long. I'll test the armor at a later date and post them up.
A suggestion I have is to allow the tools to have a higher durability than diamond. Since they are essentially more expensive to make (using the gold and diamond to make the coins) I think it's fair to ask for more durability.
It is a good mod though. The Doge mobs are an awesome companion and the Doge launcher itself is a pretty cool concept (although very expensive to use).

Do you know how to do particles? maybe add particles that say random texts such as "wow" "very pixel" "so game" and have them configurable in the config file.
Cate:
Doge and Cate are aggressive towards each other in the wild. If you have tamed a cate (Using raw fish) wild doges will turn agressive and attack or, "bash" you and your cate.
This mod is so bad.. seriously, it looks like this was made in like 2 hours and released and its stupid that you can get this popular with something as lazy as this.

By the way, amazing mod, I love it, playing it right wow- err, now. Only problem is that when I equip't the armor it doesn't sparkle, I was thinking its because the mod is 1.7.2 or it might 1 of the other 5 mods I got on at the moment. XD
Only thing I expect more of this mod is to get that sparkle on the armor effect fixed and maybe some more awesome additions to this mod. More weapons? Machines? Blocks? BIOME? Got no idea, biome seems like a awesome idea, I hope the best for this mod! Good luck! :3
