Hmmm.... That's weird.... I'll try again...
Could you tell me your e-mail so I could send it to you that way?
Sure, but Dropbox should work fine. Did you use the "share -> get link" url, or did you try and paste it directly? It looked to me like the url you pasted was not complete, as the final " Mask.png" was not part of the link.

Well, I tried the "share -> get url" thing again, and heres the link again.... https://www.dropbox.com/s/jogd4zetqtl37cm/Blast Mask.png
That's what I got... If that doesn't work, I will need to send it via e-mail or dropbox...

Finally! Thanks. That skull was hard to make on a 16-bit canvas, so I had to settle on that design... I've been working on the stone mask too, and expect that to come up soon too!

Awesome! Yeah, I just copied the center skull piece and enlarged it slightly for the item texture, so that worked perfectly. It's already in the game for the next release, and there is now a dedicated Creative Tab for Masks
Question: can you make a special block/entity that summons a chest on top of it when activated with redstone? (kind of like the actual chests in dungeons in loz)
Question: can you make a special block/entity that summons a chest on top of it when activated with redstone? (kind of like the actual chests in dungeons in loz)
Yes, but if you're making a map, you should be using command blocks to do stuff like that anyway, since "summoning" a chest would just be setting that air block to a chest, unless you were hoping for some kind of animation, in which case the answer is no, that is not something I can accomplish readily, as animating / art are one of my weakest points.
You will need to use command blocks anyway if you want to set the chest's contents. Speaking of which, I spoke with Father Toast and he explained how his chest customization mod works, so I will be adding support for that if not in this update then in the next.
I don't believe you can summon a chest in even modded 1.6.4, i may be wrong though...
You can do almost anything with command blocks, even in 1.6.4, and you can most certainly set an x/y/z position to any block you want. I recommend you take a look on the Minecraft wiki page and learn about the commands available if you plan on doing any serious map-making.
I mean, that the setblock command used to summon chests was not put in until version 1.7.2
Oops, you're right, sorry. I've never used command blocks, so hadn't kept up with what was available when. Looks like 1.8 is going to be heaven for map-makers xD Anyway, so you'd like a chest to appear on a redstone signal, but how do you plan to edit the contents?
Basically, the device has a chest gui, that when activated, summons a chest, and fills it with the content of whatever the gui contained.
How are you creating this device and gui? With code? If you're coding it and can set the chest contents using it, why can't you just create the chest as well?
No...that's what i was requesting...i doubt it's possible although...
Oh, now I see... yeah, that would probably work if you could edit a file with the chest contents, and then when the chest was placed it would read those, but it would end up being the same for every chest, and I don't see how you plan on using a gui in this situation, since it would be the player activating the redstone.
I think you're better off just placing the chest directly while editing the map, and putting whatever you want in it, then using command blocks / redstone to open up a passage to the chest. You should take a look at some of the maps for 1.6.4 - I know I've seen some pretty incredible stuff involving redstone and spawning stuff, and I'm pretty sure I've seen some that even move a bunch of blocks to reveal secret passages and such.
There's a lot you can do in an adventure map with the tools you have, even in 1.6.4; 1.7 and up will be a piece of cake to create maps for in comparison with all the new commands they have added, but that doesn't mean it can't be done in 1.6. It's just more difficult.
Hi Alias! How are things? I saw the texture for the Boomerangs! Great work! Your best work so far if I do say so myself! If you can do that well with those, you should be able to rework the existing textures for this mod to make them better. Also some notes on them. For one, The Pant's for the Hero's Tunic are supposed to be a light tan color, just look at the link gif I use for my avatar on here and try to make their color look somewhat like that. And you should probably look at a picture of Master Ore from A Link Between Worlds to improve the texture for it, because black lapis just won't cut it. And I recommend using the Wind Waker designs for the Hero's Bow and the Fire, Ice, and Light arrows, and as for the bombs, I do like the item model you have for them but use Twilight Princess to make a better look for the Water bombs and Zelda Bombs are typically a blue color. And maybe you should make your own special look for empty bottles and the bottles filled with stuff. And if you need to, try to get an experienced texture artist to help you make the textures, Like Link for example, if he's not busy that is.
I think I ranted for long enough. Hope this helps! Good luck my friend!

That is exactly what I need, as I have no plans on reworking any of the current textures myself; it's just too painful of an experience There are a couple people that have been sending me textures, as you may have noticed in the notes and credits from the last few updates, so it's not all that bad.
Thanks, btw - I'm pretty proud of (and very surprised at) how well the boomerangs and even the Deku Leaf turned out. Guess I got lucky lol.
Re: bomb color - yes I know the bombs are typically blue, but I'm using that for the water bombs. I don't make models, so the bombs are staying as they are unless someone really cares so much that it's not perfect to submit some new models / textures.
Re: other discrepancies between item colors and the games - there are lots of Zelda games, and each one tends to have different colors for things; while I try to make them as close as possible, sometimes I just make it whatever I feel like. If you are really concerned about this, feel free to either send me some textures or make some for your own personal use in place of the ones I made.
I appreciate your dedication to the original, but please understand that textures are neither something I am particularly skilled at nor my number one priority, and if one happens to differ from the original, chances are that either I was unable to replicate the original (any type of model), had a good reason for doing so (such as the bomb colors), or I just didn't feel it was that important (such as the pants and master ore). Anyway, feel free to submit some textures
No, actually I wasn't. It says the url doesn't exist.
