So...I need help. The earthquakes are a pain in the butt. They are very long. But the worst part is that they imitate the movie San Andreas! Seriously, it should be called: "Ravine Spawner". I lost two villages to the earthquakes. Is there a way to set the "rarity to the highest"...like the probabilities of an earthquake in Washington D.C? I tried 1000, but it seems not to work. Also, can I change how the earthquakes work? I don't want free ravines. Maybe a crack in the ground deep enough to explore, but not Lava lakes at the end. I need help with them. Please!
It seems that the custom configs are not working properly. The buildcraft sub-mods have pipe symbols ( | ) in their names, for example BuildCraft|Transport. But in Windows file names cannot contain pipe symbols, so the properties files for buildcraft appear to substitute it with an underscore.
However in-game when you add a buildcraft block (or item I assume) it says:
tile_pipeBlock_name(BuildCraft|Transport:pipeBlock:0) (Block) Saved to BuildCraft|Transport.cfg on Profile DEFAULT
As you can see there is a pipe symbol there, and the block doesn't appear in the actual file and this error is thrown:

An interesting mechanic for maintaining temperature and thirst would be to add or use a food dictionary with labels like 'Hot', 'Cold', 'Dry, 'Wet', so foods can cool you or warm you like ice cream or soups, and either dehydrate you like dried fruits and nuts, or satiate you like fruits or various drinks added by food mods.
Furthermore, the temperature could be removed after it reaches 30% spoilage, so old food is room temperature and doesn't contribute to body heat anymore.
Is there an existing dictionary that covers e.g. HarvestCraft, wherein food has hot or cold, wet or dry settings? Because if an OreDictionary-like thing exists then I'm all in favor of using that if a variety of mods are already making use of it.
But you can set up every type of food individually and give it the temperature you want -- it's just time-consuming (and I wish someone would make a HarvestCraft config file or something so that I wouldn't have to hunt through and do it myself). HC has soups you can use to warm you up and ice cream you can use to cool you down, and the only thing is taking the time to show the computer which things should be doing which things.
That, and my use of the numbers is quite a bit trial-and-error, with a side dish of feedback being confusing rather than straightforward, so after I added a few dozen items I called it quits for now. But you absolutely can set each item that way.
I concur that it should stop doing that after the spoilage meter gets to a certain point, as that would be an ideal way to show that an item has lost its cooking/freezing temperature.

My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
When I use a bottle on an ocean tile I just get a normal bottle of water as opposed to a salty one. Any ideas why this might be? Is it a feature to enable or could it be a conflict with a mod? Could it be the fact that I generated a flat world with only water that's confusing the mod?

It may be confusing it.. but we have not had a lot of time to work on enviromine, and we haven't done alot of testing lately. I have been meaning to do some more work on it all and will try and look at what may be happening.

Does this mod have support with Pam's Harvestcraft? Like soda and juice restoring thirst and burgers and sandwicheshs restoring hunger?
It's been a bit since I messed with it, but I think you can manually edit most items to restore thirst, even if they do not do so by default.

For those who don't mind a bit of reading, I've been writing mod examinations on Hubpages under the name Cliffwalker. So far I've done full articles for several mods, including the likes of Witchery,Enviromine, andLycanite's Mobs, and I have also written a few multi-mod articles to help those who wish to find upgrades for a specific aspect of their game, such as the Nether.
Also, anyone know how to set it to where only certain biomes will spawn? I'm getting a bunch of mods together centered around desert survival. And that's all kind of ruined when you can go to the rainforest instead. I want it to be where all that can spawn is rivers, deserts, savannas, and possibly mesas

The current version is for 1.7.10, it's just the forum tag that hasn't been updated. And to have a desert world, my suggestion is to use Climate Control, possibly with Biomes O plenty installed alongside. It takes a bit to set up, but you can basically disable any biomes that you don't want, choose how much ocean you'd like, the amount of each type of climates in the world, zone size, and a lot more. I think you can also set it so that you have massive stretches of deserts or whatever in place of the ocean, and so make "oasis" biome clusters if you want.

So hey, just had a tremendously world-killing lag-monster bug that I think is likely tied to an interaction between Enviromine and Repose (which lets you walk up hills made of certain block types such as dirt or sand, and has some physics involving such blocks). Here is the post I made about it, complete with screenshot of a gigantic pile of soul sand that started when I dug under a single soul sand block in Canopy Carnage (inside the Aurum Birch tree, which has maybe a dozen such blocks) and started an infinite cascade that quickly covered the landscape in soul sand to a height over half the distance from the bedrock to the build limit (at a guess).
I don't think my best efforts (while struggling through intense lag) actually stopped the bug, so my server might be goners. I'm debating about removing that mod and seeing what happens when I get back on. But I thought I'd come by and note the bug. It was both horrifying and amusing.

If removing the mod fails, the best way to fix the problem would be to use MCEdit to delete the affected chunks. When you load the world Minecraft will regenerate the chunks exactly the way they were when first generated(Unless you have added some more world gen since then). Make sure to delete the chunks themselves, not just the blocks inside them.
This is just a little idea i had, this would not have much effect on gameplay with only this mod but might be handy for mod packs. A radiation bar. Mostly because its always odd how you can have a nuclear reactor right next to your home and have no side effects. or in the rare case it does it just poison with a different name. and even then it is canceled by a hazmat suit from the same mod. meaning the hazmat suit from UE will not work with IC2, and so on.
So the idea is this, the bar will start at 0 and stay there unless something changes. depending on the configs things like standing near certain blocks (uranium ore) or eating foods (rotten flesh) the bar will increase. depending on how fast it goes up will determine what happens. if you gain 200 (rads?) in only a few seconds then that will result in nausea hunger and possibly health loss. how ever if it is a much slower over time exposure, then it will result in rapid temperature gains, sanity loss, and occasional nausea. so 200 rads in 2 min is alot worse then 400 rads over several days. however at a certain point it will kill you regardless. rads can be decreased with medication, or other configd items, but will not go down naturally. cancer dosn't just go away. also armor can be set to resist or slow down radiation.
Also on an unconnected idea, a config option to right click drink from other liquids. like sewage (or lava if you want)

Railcraft Boiler Calculator
Is the biome "ocean" or "beach"?
Railcraft Boiler Calculator
It may be confusing it.. but we have not had a lot of time to work on enviromine, and we haven't done alot of testing lately. I have been meaning to do some more work on it all and will try and look at what may be happening.
Not sure how you expect the mod to be able to tell that the water is part of an ocean when the biome is "plains" : P
Railcraft Boiler Calculator
Must have missed this.. the biome decides what water bottle you get..it has to be an ocean biome to get salty water
can i use this mod in my modpack
Does this mod have support with Pam's Harvestcraft? Like soda and juice restoring thirst and burgers and sandwicheshs restoring hunger?
It's been a bit since I messed with it, but I think you can manually edit most items to restore thirst, even if they do not do so by default.
For those who don't mind a bit of reading, I've been writing mod examinations on Hubpages under the name Cliffwalker. So far I've done full articles for several mods, including the likes of Witchery, Enviromine, and Lycanite's Mobs, and I have also written a few multi-mod articles to help those who wish to find upgrades for a specific aspect of their game, such as the Nether.
In addition, fans of the old Myth games may want to check out my map of Myth's world.
Is it possible to make other blocks, such as the Cray Fish Furniture Mod Fridge act like Esky or Freeze?
No 1.7.10?
What are you talking about?
The tag for the mod says 1.6.4.

How, specifically, do I turn off earthquakes?

Please don't PM me asking for help, I will just redirect you to the appropriate forum, where there are others who are far more skilled than me.

Banners and such things

Alright, I have a mod that adds its own custom water, how can I make that water drinkable via right click?
