I just tried to install this mod on a dedicated (rented) server -> Server didnt start up
Before that we used the mod in SP LAN, so something must be different. Anything additional I could install to ensure compatibility with the hosters OS?
Did the server doesn't starts or you can't connect? If the first...
Hum... are you sure the dedicated server runs win 7 or linux, or if it works without OC?
For moderators: editing one post doesn't works well on my tablet.
Can you add Galatic Craft power! Please, I know you can turn it into TE and UE power but still!
Looking into it. Just to make sure I'm not missing anything, GC only has "own" power as of MC1.7, yes? At least I can't find anything related in the APIs of the MC1.6 version.
I made a partial mod showcase of this:
This mod seems quite interesting, but it's all a bit too complex for me! The regular computers themselves are nice though.
Neat! Always interesting to see how others approach the mod. Much jumping though ;-)

Any (crash) log files? If so, please open an issue on Github and post them there, thanks.
I've been using OpenComputers for a while now, and I notice ONE MAJOR downfall to this mod vs. CC, The documentation is terrible! I probably make it sound worse than it is, but I still don't understand a word of what the wiki is saying w/o reading through the code and picking out individual methods.
Other than that though, this mod is great! I love how realistic it is now with the OS on disks that you have to install to specific hard disks. I especially enjoy the fact that you have fixed the bug where the entire filesystem is read only. Keep up the awesome work!

In that case, remember you can watch the tutorial videos under getting started / tutorials in the OP.

I think the documentation is great, but it could certainly be better. I guess that's more on us the users - we should expand on the docs with examples etc. in the wiki; we really only need Sangar to document the base facts. Which parts of the docs would you wish to be expanded upon first?

The documentation links give me error 404's for the english, but the playlist link and all the videos in it work fine.
Anyways, good work on this mod. I really like how you can pick and choose what to put in your computer, instead of in Computercraft where you just need a monitor and a disk drive.
I have tried going up to the newest versions of OC and I tried downgrading 3 separate versions with no luck and I tried everything mentioned with and without opencomponents enabled, Any help would be much appreciated.

That field was renamed from 1.2 to 1.3, so it seems one (or more) of the mods in there ship the 1.2 OC API. The ones I know of are ReikaAPI and CalCore, either try updating those or doctor the JARs (remove the 'li/cil' folder from them, using some archive manager), that should also work without breaking anything.
Thank you very much Sangar, That was indeed the problem. Although very odd in my opinion it was DragonAPI 1.6v25z (Latest 1.6.4) and CalclaviaCore 1.2.0.332 (Latest for 1.6.4)
Removing the Li folder from both worked but DragonAPI Contained a Package-info file that said it was running OC API 1.4 and CalclaviaCore said 1.4.10, Don't really understand if that is the same as the API version number you mentioned but in case it is I thought I would bring it to your attention.
Thanks again :), Feel very lucky to be learning lua on this particular mod.

The API version isn't quite in sync with the OC version. Yeah, it's kinda messy Basically, since OC1.2 the minor version represents a major version change of the API (so OC 1.3 has API 2.*, OC1.4 will have API 3.*). I'm avoiding minor version changes in the API exactly because I know some mods are shipping the API, so it'd break things even though it'd - if no-one except OC shipped it - be non-breaking.
What are those methods´ names ( invert screen mode and starting assembler ) ? Also, what are component buses?
Do you plan Ender IO bundled redstone compatibility at some point?
`screen.isTouchModeInverted():boolean` and `screen.setTouchModeInverted(value:boolean)`.
Ender I/O: I dunno, maybe. From what I can tell there's no official API, so I'd have to hack something together using ASM and / or reflection to make it a soft dependency, which is kinda meh.
computer created in creative mode. All work. Computer doesnt respond to keyboard if switching to survival mode (GUI normally opens but hitting keys - no response). Whats the problem please ?
Hmm, cannot reproduce. Screenshot? SSP or SMP? Versions?

The Ender IO creator is quite friendly, so you probably just need to ask him for the code, as just like you said, there are no APIs.
You forgot to tell me the assembler starting command... Pliz?
Hum, how can I put things organized like that? subcharacter granularity means that until reaching the full character ( space ) they are semi-spaces?
Can I have a look at the code?
It's still a fixed-width font. The Unicode characters U2588-U258F are partially-filled boxes, with a fixed width:

Sorry, no idea what's going on with the code tag here, but:

Ugh, the IDs probably changed when they were renamed or something... I'll just list the playlist, thanks for letting me know!

Use NEI. Nobody had the time / patience to add the recipes to the wiki, yet.

As anicet74 said, there's the Internet Card for internet access, and that should be enough.

Hehe.... maybe you don't use it for that....
Writing a browser like lynx would be quite fun. Using OpenComputers reminds me of early PC and UNIX days. Here's my IC2 nuclear reactor interface:
I'm nerdily proud of using the unicode U2588-U258F for subcharacter granularity on the progress bars (see the green sliver on the "1%" bars).
Damn that is awesome, nice work. I am still learning the basics after moving from CC to this mod.
