For silent assassins these angels are incredibly loud.. Could you please change the stone grinding sound so there is only a chance it will happen when they move? Like in A-dizzles's version? it makes it a lot creepier, or at least add it as a config option? Also the angels path finding is a bit.. Weak, they'll just walk into a wall until there's an opening for them to get to you.
Thank you for taking over this mod though I've missed it.

lol there is a certain tradeoff between realism (even fantasy realism) and quality of life, if there is an angel behind me I want to AT LEAST hear it...perhaps if they were to add it as a config option, but I think its fine as is... that being said, the creepy gasp when you rapidly turn around to look at the creepy faces would be nice ;~P

I dunno it worked in A-dizzles version. They wouldn't be completely silent, just make a noise once every 10 steps or something, it's a lot scarier, picture it, just mining away then, creak, shiver down your spine, turn around and there it is.
As it is now it's mining away then CreeeeeeeeAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!! Sigh here we go again, turn around to see an angel about 2 miles down the corridor still.
Look at the vid on the front page, that's how it was in A-dizzle's, in this version the sound just never stops as long as they're moving. It's actually kind of annoying particularly when they're trying to get to you through a wall and there's 2 of them and they just walk into the wall constantly, it's like having your head shoved into a cement mixer .

Ah, yes. This at the moment is a bit of a sound glitch, this should hopfuly change at some point, as it is not the most important thing. We are more concerned about the new {?} and the new {Item}. I hope I haven't given any new info away.

Thank you for the input everyone. As it stands right now, the angels are using the same mechanic as all the other mobs. Their movement sound is triggered by a vanilla command chain, similar to cows mooing, pigs oinking, or chickens clucking. Also similar to zombie groans, skeletons clanking, or spiders hissing. (None of these to be confused with the sounds made when a vanilla mob gets hurt or dies)I don't think I will be looking into this until after the 1.7 update. Yes I am looking into it at the moment, although forge doesn't seem to be setting up properly on my computer. Hopefully there will be a stable build soon. Also, the porting to 1.7 has nothing to do with {?} or the new {Item goes here, bzzt (umm....)}
Sorry, in the config file, in spawn options there´s an option that says "MaxSpawnPerWorldInstance" could somebody tell me what is this and how does it work with the spawnrate?
How mob spawning g is setup, there are a few variables. There are biomes, how often, and how many. How many per instance says, if I am going to spawn here, how many of this mob should spawn.
Oh, right. So if I wish to increase the spawn rate of the angels do I have to increase that option, the 2nd one or both?
After going through some of wuppy's code, I found a good way to explain it.
The MaxSpawnedPerWorldInstance is the frequency at which the mob will spawn and when the mob has been chosen to be spawned it will in this case spawn between 1 and MaxSpawnedPerInstance of them.
These will all have better names and comments when I release 1.7. Most bugs are worked out, and I am just starting to make it more customizable and easier for the user to use now.

Oh right, so spawnrate is how often, and maxspawnedperinstance is how many... got it, thanks!

I like this mod, but have a few suggestions. For one, the angels are to slow in my opinion. this is merely subjective though. When you look back at a angel following you, they kind of slide into a stop so you can tell they were moving, making it less creepy. Finally, the angels sometimes go into "angry mode" when you are looking at them, and therefore you see them move. They also sometimes turn to look at you.
Im getting a crash when i try to use the vortex manipulator on my server.
