Whats the chance for the autofisher to actually get a fish? I've been letting it run for an hour with a titanium rod, bread bait and 80mj/t, and Ive got nothing. And yes, it's running, it has the little bubbly progress bar going and everything. It's just not catching stuff!
EDIT: Just got a ray... I think the chance is a tad low. :x

Odd, What biome is it fishing in? I've never had it take that long to catch a fish. Also it's not worth giving it that much power, More MJ does not make it any faster. It just needs enough to be running. Each 'cycle' should take 750 ticks. Then you have a variable chance of catching something, so it really shouldn't be that rare. I'll probably reduce the tick time since. The chance is 17 - (baitGrade * 3). So for bread it should be a 1 in 14 chance every 750 ticks that you'll catch something. If you use Worm/Minnow you'll get much better chance. 1 in 8 for worm, and 1 in 2 for minnow. I'd suggest trying with worms, which is pretty easy to get, just spam dirt on the sifter, granted you'll get lots of useless ants(useless on a titanium rod) but you can throw that away lol. Ideally if you have silk touch, get grass blocks, they have higher chance of worms than just plain dirt.
Extreme Jungle is the biome...I'm using bread, which is likely the problem, paired with my legendary bad luck.
Or it might be the 160+ mods i have installed, who knows right?
Either way it IS working, after letting it run through 2 stacks of bread i got 4 catches. Trying it with worms next, I'll see how that does. Perhaps a config option for the rarity would be feasible though? I'd love to bump it up a bit (or a lot), because I'm really looking forward to breeding something other than bees!
Okay, so, I love the mod (haven't been able to use it, for some reason it loves to crash with whatever mod, I'll see into that and try to fix the problem before reporting that) and the idea is awesome. Shame the 1.7 is nerfing oceans into lakes but, hey, hopefully that'll be fixed or altered in a 1.7.x update or something.
Anyway, I have an idea..I was just thinking about it and none of the other mods would really fit this more than yours really. Like, could an electric depth map or something be a thing? It could be, like, powered by fish oil for a certain amount of time (it probably shouldn't use much, being a handheld map), it would chart out the areas you travel and zoom in and out, and have like an under sea level/over sea level option and it shows your depth on like a scale to the side. I would see this being useful for exploring the ocean as well as like, mining trips and such (and rid the use for the f3 button outside of biome checking) I have no clue what would work as a recipe, though. Possibly a requirement for it to record would be to use empty maps to record the information onto the map.
Hi, this mod looks fantastic! I can't wait to "dive" in and get started.
Unfortunately, I have a problem creating a new world with Mariculture and the SmoothBedrock mod. I believe there's some sort of incompatibility.
When I try and create a new, default world, Minecraft just hangs at the "Loading world / Building terrain" message. Initially there's no error or crash in the log. If you wait long enough (took around 5 minutes for me), you eventually get an error in the console and the server stops. Took another 5-10 minutes for Minecraft to finally crash and close.

// Surprise! Haha. Well, this is awkward.

This took me a while to pinpoint as I have over 130 mods installed, but I managed to narrow it down to these two, and further tested it by using only these two mods. With nothing else but mariculture-1.6.X.-v1.0.0b.zip and SmoothBedrock-1.6.4-1.0.5.jar, this crash happens.
I let the author of SmoothBedrock know about this crash as well, just in case this can be fixed on their end. Thanks.
Edit: Tested things again with a newer version of SmoothBedrock, and had the same errors.
NEI doesn't show me the recipe for polished stick, so I can't craft the wooden rod.
Yeah - having to craft polished sticks to be able to craft a vanilla fishing rod for access to mundane fish - required in other mods recipes - seems a bit off.
And, when choosing between NEI - bloated and buggy and cheaty - and craftguide - elegant and usable - please do the craftguide integration.
Yeah, it's only recently I realised how much of a nuisance that is (when someone on my server wanted boots of the traveller :P, seemed a lot of work just for some vanilla fish, while you can catch with my rods, it's rare loot), so will just add the normal recipe back in next update, (I should of made it a config option). So in the mean time don't feel bad if you wanna cheat yourself a vanilla rod ;). The recipe for the Polished Stick is here on the wiki http://mariculture.wikispaces.com/Polished Stick. Or save you clicking:
"Polished Sticks are made in an Industrial Freezer. You need 5000mB worth of Fish Oil and a Stick in order to craft it."
As for your crash hyteria, is it just crashing on load or what? Or what did you do to get that crash? Imma need to be able to recreate it. There shouldn't be incompatability with buildcraft, I play with it on my server all fine, considering some of my stuff relies on buildcraft power :P.
I'm gonna throw the idea in again, let us squeeze live and dead fish for fish oil in the forestry squeezer. *evil cackle*
I think you can squeeze raw fish in the latest version, but I they aren't giving as much fish oil as they should. (in fact are giving 1000 times less than they should). (Which is why I didn't mention it in changelog yet :P) Live fish probably won't happen though. (It's a lot easier to differentiate the raw fish than it is the living, since the raw use damage values).
I love this Mod, I'm currently running it with MC Furniture, The Ether, Twilight Forest, Damage Indicators, Better Farming, BOP, Biblio Craft, Choco Craft, Mo's Creatures, NEI, Optifine, Pam's Wee Flowers and Zan's Minimap. I couldn't get it to work however with Minecraft Comes Alive or Builder, it's very picky what it likes and took some time for me to get it working. I'm building a glass area on the water so I can see all the Coral and Mo's Animals and it looks amazing, it adds so much beauty to the game, amazing Mod.
Can i get a list of your mods?/forge version Since I don't get this error when generating terrain when playing on server I play on, want to see what mods you have in common with other people that get this error, and try to narrow it down (and recreate it), so i can try n fix it. If it's a lot of hassle, disable limestone for now. I've been playing/tweaking limestone for next version since it seems to be in a bad way somehow with some mods.
and hyteria, i'm unable to recreate your error, you got a full list of mods/versions and forge version, so i can experiment see what is going on?
After doing some research I believe it's a case of my stuff trying to collect data/generate in chunks that don't exist yet. It doesn't seem to always happen though, maybe some mods cause it to happen more often, I don't know. I'd advise if you're getting the errors to turn off limestone and worldplus if the errors make it unplayable. I think limestone is the main culprit. I find it strange how I never came across it when testing. Limestone I've had in testing on a server since january, and the kelp/coral for a couple months, would of thought I'd of had these issues myself. Will fix for those of you getting the error for the next update, not sure when I can get that released though, hopefully weekend or next week.
EDIT: Just got a ray... I think the chance is a tad low. :x

U can check here to get the zh_CN.lang:http://notepad.cc/nuclune45
Or check here:
You can, they are just insanely hard to break ;). It's easier to dig up the block underneath them so that they drop

awesome craft everywhere, i'll add that in, in next version if that's ok with you ^_^.

They tend to be a "Exception getting block type in world" exception, or an "Already Decorating" (concurrent access?) exception.
And 'mariculture.core.WorldGenLimestone.generate' is always in the callstack.
