Any chance on fixing RemoteIO Particles on servers without the goggles on? It seems to be rendering them like invisible but still showing up because its tanking our FPS with a room of 20-30 remoteIO blocks.
I need to re-download this mod, but when I click on the download area, it keeps telling me that the download link is expired. Will you look into this ASAP? Thanks.
EDIT: I found the proper download link, so disregard my previous statement. Thank you and have a great day.
Hey guys, I play FTB Monster atm (RemoteIO 1.9.3a) and tried to move tiems from a chest to a remote inventory with TE itemducts (buildcraft/logisticpipes-pipes won't connect).
But nothing happens. is there something shortly changed about that?
watched a spotlight of version 1.7.
Thx
lurmov
Edit: Sorry guys, jsut watched the spotlight some possts above that ansered my question. But its iritating that TE itemducts connect bot do nothing without upgrade
Edit2: couldnt get BC pipe connected. But transfering items works now.
Dude just a heads up you totally ruined your remote i/o mod by adding the fuel concept in the new FTB monster pack. This is the worst idea ever. Out of all the things you could have done this was not the one to go with and the worst part is that it takes ender pearls something that is kinda of a pain to get a hold of. This really sucks cause I loved your mod and played with it every game but guess I just switch it out for ender I/O's dimensional transceiver. Sad day for all. You should really consider putting it back the way it was.
Apologies in advance for the vagueness of this bug report, but after pouring through the log files nothing really jumped out at me.
Was playing around with your (admittedly amazing) mod last night to see if I could replace my EnderTank with the IO block set to fluid + cross-dimensional. In the nether I had a BC pump set up and linked the IO block to it.
The IO block was then put in my base and hooked up to some ThermalExpansion fluiducts.
Everything seemed to be fine when I logged off the server, however, logging in today I found that the chunk I had placed the IO block in had gone through a full MC chunk reset :/
I've managed to restore it from a backup from a few days ago, but still felt it worth reporting. If you'd like I can highlight my stream for the part where I was setting up this system so you can see what I did.
The reason I come to you is that this is the only new mod entity I have added to that chunk in the last 24 hours.
In terms of what was in the server log, this was the only thing I could find that was close to talking about a bad chunk:

The only other thing I can think to mention is that earlier the server did crash with an OOM error while ticking a tile entity (not sure which one). That above stacktrace came after the server was rebooted.
It's only a theory, but perhaps it was a IO block ticking. Because the server ran out of memory while ticking it, it was unable to finish whatever it needed to do so left it in a bad state. This bad state was seen by the MC server core as bad enough to warrant a chunk reset?
Either that or there is something a bit unexpected in the way cross-dimensional works? Or maybe a bad cross-mod interaction of RemoteIO and TE's Fluiducts?
Let me know if there is any more information I can provide you.

The power requirement (a: also takes IC2/RF power (through batteries/flux capaciters), and b: is configurable in the config)
Additions:
* Turtle Bridge
* * Allows for connecting to turtles.
* * Turtles must be turned into Bridged Turtles (turtle + any upgrade) then placed on top of the turtle bridge. You must then wrap the bridge peripheral and call sync()
* Power requirements for IO blocks
* * Power can be provided either through the fuel item (configurable) or through IC2/RF batteries (batteries/crystals/flux capaciters)
* * These items can be placed in the fuel slot of any IO block GUI
Changes:
* IO blocks should be better about communicating whether or not they're connected
* All IO blocks are now standardized, so things like redstone/lock upgrades should work with all IO blocks
* Re-wrote documentation to be friendlier. Now a list of all blocks/items instead of requiring the item first

Not in the current version FTB is using and as for the config change that's fine in single player but a totally different story in SMP. I mean if you wanted to balance it or what have you, why wouldn't you just make the recipes harder. Adding the need for fuel was just a bad idea considering there are two other mods that do the same thing your mod does and now they do it better. Not trying to be rude but I'm just rather disappointed cause I really loved this mod.

Feel free to use those other mods if you want. I personally felt it was the right step.
Also, the version FTB is using can't not be configurable, as I made it configurable from the start. So... don't know where you're getting that info.

OK. I looked in the config file and it does not have a specific dedicated place to specify power type. Why can't I just let it take a little of the RF from the TE3 energy cables? I do not want to have to constantly check on the IO blocks to make sure they have enough fuel to run.
Edit: Maybe you should have a config to let us decide whether or not we want the IO blocks to require power, just like the dimensional transceiver from Ender IO and the tesseract from TE3.
So some reason I am unable to craft T1 Range Upgrade and Link Persistance Upgrade starting from version v1.10.
Also Link Persistance Upgrade now named like upgrade.persist.name.
But, with version 1.9.3 everything works fine with same minecraft client and configs and other mods.
The Tier 1 range and persistence upgrades are still uncraftable. Any chance of this being fixed soon? I do not like having to get them from cheat mode. Also the connection of the IO block to power sources is still being a little derpy. After I upgraded to the newest version, every time I log out and log back in I have to break the IO block and the pipe connected to it and replace them in order for it to work again.
Unfortunately I can't see a reason as to why that would happen, but I'll do some testing and see what I can do.
Yea, didn't think you'd be able to make much out of just that description.
I went ahead and cut out a highlight of the stream where I was setting up the system I described.
Near the end where you see the IO Block and the Ender Tank, about one block to the left of the IO Block is the chunk boundary. The chunk with the IO Block is the one that reset. There was also the odd occurrence of the IO Block never switching to the blue texture to show that it was correctly connected even though it was properly allowing lava through.
Something else I noticed while playing around to figure out how everything worked ( ) I found a couple strange things. The two things I mainly wanted to note are around the last 5 minutes of that highlight.
e.g. Cross-Dimensional upgrade seemed to nullify the range requirements while in the same dimension.
i.e. Had the block well over the 8 block starting range and only the cross-dimensional upgrade yet still connected just fine.
Hope some of this helps you a little better and keep up the great work. Saw you're already working on the 1.7 port

Does anybody saw such issue?
On the Resonant Rise server I go to, we're also getting this issue. We're using the current version as of this post.
I can confirm Polymorph and LordMuzer's reports. Teir 1 upgrade has no recipe. Link Persistence Upgrade has no recipe.
All localized names in the info panel are not getting read correctly. All are non-localized (e.g. item.block.ioblock). Each Range Upgrade is called "Upgrade #1" for T1, T2, and T3. Uber Range Upgrade is called the "Wither Range Upgrade"
Also, near as I can tell the IOBlock doesn't work anymore (at least in terms of accessing the UI of the remote block).
Placed an IOBlock down, two spaces away placed a vanilla single chest. Linked the chest to the IO Block. Block turned blue to show link was successful. Attempted to right-click IO Block with the transceiver and nothing. Added the Item Upgrade and tried again, still nothing. Added in range upgrades of any type. Nothing.
This test was after attempting a few other configurations and connections to other block types (e.g. MFE, gold chest, AE terminal, etc). Could not get a UI to show up at all.
One last thing. Using the IO Goggles after linking a block to the IO Block the "trail" didn't show up at all.
The only change I made to the default config was turning off the UE Upgrade as we have no UE power producers to need it.
Whenever I sync a turtle to a bridge, and then attempt to move the turtle forward, the server crashes. I am using remoteio 1.11.
Steps:
1) Place bridged turtle on bridge
2) In lua interpreter sync with peripheral.wrap("right").sync()
3) Execute turtle.forward()
Server then immediatly crashes. When server is rebooted, the bridged turtle has been replaced with a standard turtle.

Unfortunately I can't see a reason as to why that would happen, but I'll do some testing and see what I can do.
Additions:
* Turtle Bridge
Now a list of all blocks/items instead of requiring the item first
* Probably other stuff I forgot about
Not in the current version FTB is using and as for the config change that's fine in single player but a totally different story in SMP.
You misunderstood the current version FTB is using is configurable but can not use the batteries. Because you just put that in.
If Minecraft were real, you'd be a zombie right now.
THE COMMUNITY HAS SPOKEN, AND I HAVE ANSWERED!
* Power requirements now properly configurable, but disabled by default.
This release should make it into FTB within a week or so
So some reason I am unable to craft T1 Range Upgrade and Link Persistance Upgrade starting from version v1.10.
Also Link Persistance Upgrade now named like upgrade.persist.name.
But, with version 1.9.3 everything works fine with same minecraft client and configs and other mods.
Does anybody saw such issue?
If Minecraft were real, you'd be a zombie right now.

On the Resonant Rise server I go to, we're also getting this issue. We're using the current version as of this post.

Steps:
1) Place bridged turtle on bridge
2) In lua interpreter sync with peripheral.wrap("right").sync()
3) Execute turtle.forward()
Server then immediatly crashes. When server is rebooted, the bridged turtle has been replaced with a standard turtle.
