It was in September that I started a standalone game, which involves magic and medieval themes. Progress is being tracked on the dev blog at qorconcept.com. You can find out more there
Personally, I refer to it as Wizardry. Sorcery in my mind has usually meant more along the lines of making pacts with demons for power. This is just inherent magic within someone; a part of their life force. No demons required!

To be honest, the traditional view of a sorcerer is "A being who has made a pact with a higher power(presumably a demon) for great power in exchange for something very precious(traditionally their soul)" Whereas wizards are the ones who come with their own powers that they have to study, practice and learn in order to use to their fullest. So in that sense, wizardry is the most fitting term for this.
Uses Appropriation and rift, stores any drops from the spell in the rift. It's great for say, moving a chest full of loot. You throw a dig spell with the modifier, it breaks the chest, and the entire contents get sucked immediately into a rift instead of going everywhere. For a big dig spell, it'd do the same. Also allows for collecting things from afar, or killing Ghasts and not worrying about their tears falling into lava.

Any thoughts?
Cool thought for a spell, but the lightning guardian's charm sucks stuff in when activated, and you can you use the export system that Mithion created using the crystals... although i have never delved into that area yet... On a further note, I believe that you should be able to make a Self+ AoE+ Projectile+[damage] and have projectiles shoot out in an area around you....Don't think the grammar will allow me to do this, anyone know a shockwave type spell like this????
In 1.4.0.008 for 1.7.10: How do we determine "optimal" mobs to use for the Black Aurem? My imagination has told me that there is a connection between the mob's health and the amount of etherium generated, can anyone validate this?

I would imagine that Villagers would give more, as they are nearly always the most profitable source of whatever soul energy is being harvested, such as Blood Magic's LP.
If child mobs give the same amount as adult mobs, then you could simply set up a few animal farms and have small holes for the animals to be funnelled into the Aurem.

Er, I pretty much flat out cheat using Ender IO powered spawners... But that method sounds cute.

Amount of power generated = Math.max(mob.timeAlive * mob.MaxHealth, 5000) ... or something like that. So yes, health is a factor but so is how long they have been around.
The goal was to require mob farms to be designed in such a way that they keep the mobs alive for a while before feeding them to the Aurem, and not just give max power the moment they spawn in.

Regarding the time alive, does that time reset when an animal or villager grows up?

Well done, sir. I resolved the issue by throwing a capacitor in to my spawner and just spawning **** tons of them, but that required more power generation. Perhaps I'll just spawn them elsewhere and conveyer belt them in using good old water traps.

Hey I gave up trying to play this mod (One of my favorites) after the bug in 1.7.10 that caused my mana batteries and obelisks to lose all of their stored mana, is that still happening, or is that bug fixed?
While I've been told it can still be an issue, I've had a number of consistent 50+ hour single player worlds and have not suffered this issue at all in the latest version, so I can't say for sure it's fixed, but I haven't experienced it lately.
My diamond legs finally got the tier 4 enhancement and I chose Dispel. Well, whenever I get poisoned by a thaumcraft spider from under a greatwood tree, I crash and I get a corrupted world. Lucky I had 30 min auto backups with aroma backup. I read the log but failed to save it. It was clear in the log that dispel and the effect of the poison caused the crash.
enchantment id 100 is conflicting with Advent of ascension Mod please fix
You can change those in the config files for either mod. It's literally one of the easiest things to fix. Also, if one ID is conflicting, there are likely a few more. Search through the latest console log for anything about conflicts or overwriting.
Every time someone does this, it gets pushed back another week. At this rate, AM2 1.8 (AM3?) won't be out until sometime around 2018, if not later (if at all).
Also, apparently it's against forum rules to beg for updates. So plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't do it.

Great job on the mod btw
Yeah, that's been a known thing for a while. Not sure if it's only the imbuement, though, or if the Dispel spell component crashes too...

I've had no issues with the Dispel component, except when using it in conjunction with buffs at the same time. Any way to make a spell that dispels yourself then buffs youself without quirky behaviour?
I'm having so much trouble with some mods, every time I try to play either this or Chisel 2, my Minecraft skips like a CD! I go from 0FPS to 80FPS to 0FPS and so on.. I've been searching the web all day, and can't find anything! Could someone please help me!

From the sound of it, you simply don't have enough memory dedicated to Minecraft. Depending on the amount of mods you're running, you'll want anywhere from 2-4GB of RAM.
im having an odd problem after fiddling around with a calefactor. the block still works and can receive power, and items via hopper. however i cant access its interface or break the block.
it makes a block breaking sound and particles, the pickaxe takes damage, but the block remains in pace.
if i would have to randomly guess, then one of those "missing link" blocks that show up with the magitech goggles happens to be somehow in the same space as the machine and is layered on top of it. so basically any attempt to break the machine really just breaks the missing link block, which immediately reappears.
this is just a guess though. problem is i cant move the calefactor now.
actually no idea why this is happening. it worked fine until i threw a bunch of flour in there to make bread.
edit.: im almost glad i got a crash this time i tried to right click the machine while its working. maybe this will help
