Hey also sorry to be a bother once again but I forgot to ask about something. Im using Magic Launcher. I put your magicAPI in my mods folder, but it says "no mods found" so i downloaded the API from the original site and used that. Is that an issue? Do I need to use your magicAPI or does that other one work? If I do need to use yours do you know by chance why it says no mods found?

MagicAPI? You shouldn't need something like that. The only API you need is the AnimationAPI, which is found in the provided link in the original post.
Did you give it a redstone signal? Requiring a redstone signal was a recent change and I'm not sure if the Compendium was updated to mention that.
Yes I did apply a redstone signal to it, I placed a lever on top of it and a I tried connecting it with redstone on the ground connected to a lever as well.
Oh! Thanks for the answer. I guess I never realized you updated moonstones to do that. Although I know there is a solution to the optifine situation but can you eventually fix the mod you work without the optifine add-on that fixes it? I can figure out how to do it.

Just a quick interjection to help: The main issue is that it is Optifine that really needs to fix things to work with mods, not the other way around. Optifine is a closed source mod that messes with how things are rendered in Minecraft. The problem is that "closed source" bit. That makes it impossible for other mod authors to view the code and figure out why their stuff isn't working well with Optifine, hence why several mod authors tend to not even be willing to work with people who use it.
Er what I mean to say is that the link ars magica 2 provides does not work, it just says "no mods found" when i try to use it, but when I go directly to AnimationsAPI's website and download it from there, that one works. Do I specifically need the download from the Ars Magica link or can I use the Animations API directly from the Animations API website?

AnimationAPI is thehippomaster's mod, so you're good to go with downloading it directly from him.

p.s. anyone know how to delete a post
You can't really delete a post but you can remove all the text and stuff from the post and replace it with:
Ignore this
Post deleted
Removed post
But do not replace it with something like 'hi' 'bump' or something like that or you may get infractions for bumping threads ect.

A zone is a certain aoe spell. A wall I have yet to find much use for I normally only get it so that I have all of the components that are in the game.
Um just how does a 'wall' and 'zone' spell shape work?
Wall and zone are both very similar. When cast upon a location they create an area in which the spell effect you specified are applied to any living entity within the area. The effects are applied every X seconds. A wall, I believe, takes up 5x1 blocks where you place it and I believe a zone is a 3x3 area. A wall also applies it's effects slightly more often than a zone.
To use the shapes in creating a spell you must put a second shape after them to specify how the effects are going to target something. Touch will apply the affects to anything touching the zone or wall. AOE will create a burst of the effects every so often.
Is it possible to confirm whether or not the crafting altar is functioning without actually trying to use it? If not might i recommend being able to click on the crafting altar block with the magitech staff to get a message whether or not it will function.
I've got a pretty big problem and I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem as me. I made a summon spell with a Nether Dragon (from the better dungeons mod) but when I wanted to summon him it crashed my server. When I logged back in I had massive lag and saw a lot of Nether Dragons (well... only their heads). So apperently it summond 50 or something instead of 1 and now I can't use my server anymore.
Boss-type mobs like the nether dragon and twilight forest's hydras give issues with the summon spells. Might want to consider using a butcher or killall command to rid yourselves of those dragons.

They don't have much incentive to do so, as a player with a spell to summon a boss would be incredibly powerful unless they somehow make boss summons heavily nerfed.

I summoned the fire elemental and now whenever I try to start my game, it crashes.

yes i do have optifine installed i can't play minecraft without it at all
reason: i am using a laptop
is there a solution on how to make optifine stop doing what it is doing with the mods gui's
